When one of his best guys calls in sick, he’s happy to lend a hand. The client is paying top dollar for kid gloves, and they’ll need all the help they can get. That’s when he meets Wren York, a pampered princess who thinks she can do his job better than him. She’s an uptight control freak who needs to supervise every move he makes. She’s cute but insufferable. Hot but a colossal pain in the butt. He just wants to do his job and go home. But she’s making it impossible. If only he could figure her out. Matilda is a Texas girl in love with a Philly boy who loves to write dirty books about two people who trip into love and fumble their way into a Filthy, Funny, Happily Ever After.
I live in Austin, with my husband, two crazy Chihuahuas and an even crazier cat. And I spend most of my day writing dirty romance books about older men who fall in love with younger women and make fools of themselves trying to win their hearts.
If you love Dark Romance, you’ve come to the wrong place. I don’t like dark heroes.
I like my hero to be successful, sweet, suave, sophisticated and kind--- and then I want him to lose all his composure and game when he meets the heroine. I want him to turn into a bumbling idiot when he spots the girl of his dreams and revert to a teenage boy in a man’s body trying to win her.
I like my heroines to be witty, intelligent, and unshakeable---who could do just as well without a man—until the hero convinces her otherwise.
I write A LOT OF AGE GAP--because I LOVE AGE GAP ROMANCE. I’ve got no other excuse for it.
No matter what kind of story it is, my ladies are ADORED, and my endings are always Happily EVER AFTER, not HFN.
Wren (h22) purchases a home on the Upper West Side and needs a mover to safely transport her belongings. Making His Move by Matilda Martel is part of the multi-author Good With His Hands series. The story is about Wren York and Ford Shaw. They meet when Wren is moving to her new townhouse in NYC and Ford's moving company is hired to do the moving. Wren is a NYC princess but yet she is still determined to make it on her own. Ford has worked hard and fought for everything he has built. Ford usually does not help with the moving anymore but for the York move he is all in, after all her Daddy phoned and if things go well then he will get a lot more business. What both Wren and Ford were not expecting was to lay eyes on each other and fall instantly not only in lust but also in love. This move is going to be hot, sweaty, and a lot of OTT fun.

Where the hell did this man come from? And why did he take so long to get here?
Wren and Ford are both dinted and damaged in their own way, they are also lonely but wary. Until the moment they meet and both are reduced to stuttering, stumbling fools. But despite being blindsided by their feelings they find a comfort and acceptance in the other that they have never known, it doesn't fight with the steamy lust that rages through their bodies, nor does it cool the heat between them, but it is there in the background adding to the rightness that is them. I really like them as a couple, this is a great first book in the Good With His Hands multiauthor series which I read on Kindle Unlimited.
This is the 2nd book in the multi-author Good With His Hands series featuring the short and sweet age-gap insta-love romance between Ford and Wren. Wren is moving into her new home and Ford has a moving company that is contracted for the job. She is micro-managing the job and the interactions are fun. The main characters and her grandparents are a delight to read about, with relationship hardships in their backstories. The storyline has chemistry, surprises, twists, romance, entertaining situations and more that keep the pages turning. Loved their banter that gets them riled up so the communicating starts. Terrific ending that pulls it all together.

Ford owns a moving company and is contract my Wren's grandfather to move her into her new place. The attraction is there but he his way out of his league with her. Not only is she from a wealthy family, she is much younger.
Wren is just as attracted to Ford as he is to her. He is everthing she wants in a man. She has no idea how to get a man like him to want more with her but when Ford puts himself out there, will Wren open her arms and heart?
Hot, steamy and quick read. Loved it.

Wren was raised by her grandparents and just bought a house and hires a moving company to pick up her stuff from multiple places. This brings her in contact with the owner of the transportation company, Ford.

This is a wonderful story by Matilda Martel. I couldn't put it down. I loved the interactions between Ford and Wren. Wren has been looking forward to moving into her new home but she is nervous about moving all her things. Ford owns a moving company and is amazed by her the first time they met. He doesn't expect anyone like her could want a man like him. They seemed to be opposites. He takes a chance and is thrilled when she wants him as well. Will they find happiness together?

I really loved these two! Wren is a sweetheart but she doesn't know how to let loose. She is smart and wealthy but terribly lonely. She finally gets to move out on her own and she organizes everything. What she didn't plan on being completely enamored when her eyes land on the handsome and commanding Ford. Fortunately, the admiration is mutual but he almost doesn't make his move. This couple is so perfect for each other. They just click together like two pieces of a puzzle, a lovely, little dopamine shot. The epilogues are the cherry on top of this sweet confection!
Ford and Wren come from different worlds and are complete opposites but they are so perfect for each other. I loved the way the author brought them together and how neither of them was looking for love but they quickly realize they found it. This is a sweet, age gap, rich girl/blue collar worker steamy romance with a happily ever after. Making His Move is a great addition to the multi-author Good With His Hands series and I look forward to reading the rest of the books. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Ford owns a moving company and is hired by Wren's wealthy grandfather. At first they may get off on the wrong foot, but it doesn't last long. I think their attraction combined with loneliness, moved things along fast. I liked the characters. The different classes and age gap are brought up, but don't become obstacles. When you know what you want, you don't let anything stop you. Overall a good story with humor, determination, sweetness and passion
This was a great way to start my week - 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗘 is an instalove reading treat! Sexy Ford can move my furniture and me anytime! Wren meets the man of her dreams when she hires his company to help her move into her new home. Ford does more than move her furniture, he moves all her (lady) bits 😉! I enjoyed watching them fall for each other. It was fast, sweet, sexy and oh so satisfying. I’m giving 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗘 the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!
Making His Move is Wren and Ford's age gap HEA. Wren hires Ford's moving company to help her move some family heirlooms and things. The pull they both feel is impossible to ignore, but they come from different worlds. Can they walk away or will fate or a meddling coworker bring them back together... The chemistry was tingle worthy 😉 I really enjoyed this story. Sweet and spicy.

Ford and Wren's story is better than you expect. Wren is a great character that is very particular about her things when it comes to moving. Ford has worked to build his business, that relationship was not important. When Ford showed up at Wren's door to move her, he finds himself with a new dream and desire.
Amazing story and perfect for a weekend escape.

What a lovely, sweet and cute love story that you couldn't help but smile all the way through reading this book. There was instant attraction and chemistry between Wren & Ford but even though she was a client he still couldn't stop how he felt about her. Wren had been hurt in the past & Ford didn't want to push her but it was obvious they were meant for each other.

Wren was a heiress whose grandfather hired Ford’s moving company to move her into her first home. From the second her saw her Ford was love struck, she was his one! He was worried he was too old and blue collar for her but Wren shows him she feels their connection too. Sweet, steamy romance with amazing chemistry, a kind, loving hero, love, romance and a beautiful HEA.

Instalove novellas are a nice way to break up between heavier novels but for me, most of them I read are just average…nothing amazing.
POV: Dual, 1st person. SERIES or STANDALONE: Part of a series, complete standalone. TROPES: M/F adult, age gap, instalove romance. SIZE: 96 (last page) Kindle pages. CHARACTERS: Ford (38) & Wren (22).
Wren just bought her first home and now needs a company to move her things. Her grandfather is rich, so it's no problem for her to hire a good company. Ford owns a moving company and gets the contract. He sees Wren and is instantly smitten, but he is a lot older and ex-military and thinks he isn't good enough. Wren fell instantly in love with him too. Instalove, sweet, age gap, steamy, OTT, romantic, fun to read and safe with a sweet HEA 😍😍😍😍 A bit OM drama, but nothing serious 😉
Making His Move, is a great addition to, The Good With His Hands Series. Fords story of his journey from a foster kid to the owner of a fleet of moving vans. He is hired to move Wren by her grandfather. They are from opposite worlds and have an age gap working against them, but they will find their happily ever after.

Matilda has again won my heart with this, whenever am in slump, I read her books and it just goes away! I love it and it was so dreamy, steamy and oh so good. Filled with passion and chemistry was over the top so good.
I absolutely love a good rise from the ashes kind of story. Ford has fought his whole life being a foster child, then serving in the military and now owning a multi truck moving company. Wren has had life handed to her and when these two finally get together they complete each other perfectly. Love all of Matilda's books and characters.
This was such an entertaining read and I loved veteran, Ford, and heiress, Wren, together. Especially love that 'little bird' was his pet name for her ;) These two have so many opposites you just know its going to be magical when they come together. This is an insta-love, age gap romance with great chemistry and steam, but also a bit of angst and drama to keep things hopping :D
Kinda cute. Makes me smile when their well meaning friends and her grandma are playing cupid. There's a bit of an age gap and a difference in social standing, but when it comes to love, it makes no difference.

I think this is now one of my favourite books by this fabulous author. Absolutely loved it. Wren and Ford's romance was everything. Sweet and sexy. Definitely deserves more than 5 stars. Great addition to this multi author new series. Can’t wait to read more by this amazing author. Happy reading everyone
Wren is a sweet natured young woman born into wealth. Whilst Ford is a mountain of a man with a direct, steadfast character. His firm moves her things into her first house and one shared look is all it takes.
This is a hot, sweet, instalove romance between two genuinely likeable individuals.

A spicy age gap romance. Ford is ex-military and has built up his own moving business. He’s been hired to move Wren, a young wealthy woman, into her new home. It’s love at first sight and you can feel the chemistry leap from the page. A great addition to this series. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
