Road That Leads to the Jungle

Rate this book
‘I have noticed the road that leads into the jungle, you mean you live there, in a jungle?’ This casual remark by a colleague stayed in my mind and also motivated me to pen down stories about life in the jungle through the eyes of young children living there. In the busy urban life everyone looks forward to time spent in open spaces, fresh air, amidst the sound of silence that nature provides. The company of nature relaxes us, removes our stress and worries. It also motivates our thoughts to do something creative with a positive direction!
Wake up the little child in you and enjoy an insight into life enjoyed by children in a virtual jungle not far from the hustle bustle of the city life.

Road that leads to the Jungle is an intriguing collection of poems and stories that have a deep connection with the author's life, nature and bliss of small moments turning into memories of life time.

In this book we have got alternative parts of poems and pros along with monochromatic illustrations which add a charming visual delight to all the writings. When I picked up this book I knew that it was going to be and it turned out to be much more than that. Mrs. Shunila Prim expresses the human emotions in a way that feels resonating and deeply thoughtful. One thing is for sure that reading this book was an amazing experience and it felt like a journey which gives you a clear picture of solace, understanding and patience as well as healing and transformation.

This book also conveys that you must enjoy nature, show gratitude and be kind to all the creatures of God. Living in the urban jungle, people always crave for a sense of peace and grounding which is only found in nature. The author takes this idea, shaping it and creates these to let the reader experience it in a way that can be interpreted differently by different people. And that's the beauty of it all.

I'm immensely grateful to the author of this book because I really felt connected to her words. There are many situations in this book where I resonated and understood the emotions that the author conveys. A particular story titled "Mr and Mrs Sparrow truly touched my heart.
