BELLA FAUST MIGHT JUST BE MY NEW FAVOURITE!!
Gahh— where to start!!
So, before going into this one, I did read Craving Control, which was practically one PITCH BLACK shovel to the face with how hard it hit me— it was like nothing I’ve read before, and though it was a moral train wreck, it was different, gritty, confrontational and the writing freaking consumed me.
Anyway, I digress—
This book is ALOT less dark, though don’t be a silly goose and think you’re a Teflon coated hero and nothing sticks… READ the trigger warnings, this author isn’t sprinkling sugar on sh*t, so read the warnings and then strap yourself in for a crazy, dark and psychological ride.
I love Bella’s writing. She gets right into the nitty gritty and doesn’t hold back. And let’s face it so many of us are snatching up these ‘riskier dark’ reads these days wanting the WOW factor— something different to anything else we’ve read.
Bella does this for me.
Though fiction, she reels me in with her confrontational and uncomfortable scenarios, making me wonder if I need to see a priest or something to fix whatever is broken in me to read about some of the horrors, but the story weaved sucks me right in and the grit is so worth the story!
After the last book, seeing Anna rise up like a freaking phoenix, getting on with her life— Sh*t Yeah!
The chemistry between Venom and Anna, and Anna and Slash is enough to melt a polar ice cap!
There’s alot packed into these pages, but the journey is worth it.

This is the 1st book in the Trilogy, but there is a previous book, Craving Control, from the beginning. I personally don't think it needed to be read before reading Tempting Fate, but if you do want to read it, please note it is way darker than most books.
Tempting Fate is a dark book as well, but it isn't too dark. I do warn you to read the trigger warnings beforehand, though!
I have conflicting opinions about this book. It isn't a bad book, but it isn't a book I will remember or read again. I really doubt I even read the next book in the series.
The author has a great writing style. I do enjoy how she describes things and leads up to certain situations. But, I felt the book was extremely predictable. There wasn't any "twist" or "turn" that I didn't already think was going to happen.
I love Lily (Anna/Lilianna/Cherub). I think she is a wonderful character, and you get to see her at every angle. She is a force to be reckoned with, and I do love to see her on her journey. She is the main reason I am giving 3 stars. I loved her transformation and just her in general.
The only other character I did like was Slash. But I felt like I needed to know more about him. His character was a breath of fresh air, and I feel his character showed how a person can be an enforcer but still has a heart.
Now... other characters in the book I truthfully didn't care for.... Venom(Zeke) specifically I did NOT like. I felt his character constantly was going from one extreme to the other. His actions were very chaotic and didn't make much sense... In all honesty... I don't find him much different than Alex. Except he didn't PHYSICALLY harm Lily. But his character truthfully wasn't that different from Alex.
I think that the storyline itself was decent, but it could have been better. Again, I don't think it's a bad book, just... wasn't spectacular either.
The one thing I did LOVE, though, was that Bella Faust did not take a back seat to the darkness. She went full throttle in explaining and detailing the darker aspects of this book. I also love that the darker, horrible psychopath who was head over heels for a woman was not redeemed... but the other dark men were never a "threat". Sometimes, we need that realness that some psychopaths are just that. Psychopaths. And just because they have an object of affection does not mean the woman will fall for them.
One last note, PLEASE READ TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE BEGINNING THIS BOOK OR CRAVING CONTROL.

Where to start? I made an unwitting mistake and read book 3 (Making Choices) in this series before I read this one, which annoyed me as there were clear holes I needed filling in. Now, those holes have been filled, but I think I'm going to re read Making Choices again now, before book 4 comes out just to make sure I have everything straight in my mind - not that I think thats possible with this series. It's one of those series which just totally blows your mind, destroying any fantasys you might be harbouring that love will always win. Writing this review, with no spoilers is the hardest review I have ever written. This book is not for everyone, please check the TWs before you dive in.
Tempting Fate is the journey from hell for the fiesty, strong, Lily who only just survived the brutality of the obsessed, dark, depraved, dangerous, psychopath Alex. Lily has been rebuilding her life, with Alex behind bars, she feels safe, back in Venoms arms, with Slash, Lily and Venom's best friend right beside them. Both have sworn to protect her with their lives but, when Alex is released and takes Lily again, Venom blames himself, he knew Alex was being released early but didn't tell Lily.
I don't think there's any way you can prepare yourself for reading this book. It takes you into the darkest corners you could never even imagine existed. Watching Lily go through what she does, her pain and suffering is beyond belief. Venom, the love of her life, who will go to any lengths to protect her. Slash, who is also head over heels in love Lily, keeps his love concealled, knowing that Lily loves Venom. Love, loyality, friendships, family, brotherhood is tested in ways that tear you apart, with no guarentee of a happy ending. Your emotions will take a battering unlike anything you have ever been through, tears, anger, betrayal, hope, love to name a few.
Tempting fate is told mainly from Venom's point of view, it lays bare his feelings for Lily. It tore me to pieces seeing Venom ripped apart more than once in his quest to keep Lily safe. Torn away from the love of his life Lily, his best friend Slash, his family and the MC club that means so much to them all. I have no idea if anything even approaching a happy ending to this story is possible. Seizing Control can't come fast enough for me.

This is book two of this series, but book one of this trilogy. There is a prequel to this trilogy that doesn’t need to be read before this book, although it does give you a look into Lilly and Zeke’s life and the events leading up to this book. The prequel is told in the Villian’s pov. This book is told in dual first person pov and leaves you on a cliffhanger. There is definitely multiple trigger warnings for the whole book, as this is a very dark romance.
I was hooked from page one and on the edge of my seat the whole time. There were some scenes that I couldn’t breathe because I was laughing so hard. There were times I wanted to be right there fighting alongside them for justice. There were times my jaw hit the floor with the plot twists I didn’t see coming. I felt all the emotions with this book and along with the characters, Bella Faust shattered my heart and is working on putting it back together.
I loved that Zeke and Lily have history and that everything they do, is with the other in mind. I love that through every obstacle thrown in their path, they can’t deny their love for each other. I love that Lilly, while still a victim, wasn’t the damsel waiting to be rescued. I love that she kept a clear head and was able to use her skills and determination to save herself. I love that Zeke wants to do everything he can to protect Lily and his club. Although he feels like he is drowning and his world in falling apart, he is willing to trust another man to protect Lilly when he isn’t able to.
Usually after finishing a book and/or a series, I can “be done” with it and think about it from time to time. I hardly ever reread a book or a series (unless it ends on a cliffhanger and I need a refresher before the next book). I can honestly say, that with how good this book was, I can see myself revisiting and rereading this whole series from time. What would make it even better is if this was an audible and I could put voices with the characters!.

OH. MY.. GOODNESS... Where do I even begin. This one was packed full of so many turns and High voltage emotions with loads and loads of angst that had my tummy twisting not knowing what to expect from one minute to the next.
After reading Craving Control which is the Villain's POV, I was beyond excited and on the edge nervous to start this one.
And our author has once again given us a magnificent ride that had me turning the pages super fast.
After the traumatic nightmare that happens at the end of Craving Control, we are now in the aftermath and what's happening with Lily.
I have to say right from the start, the buildup is super explosive with the many events that link together and have a chain effect.
Also what happens when Lily's worst nightmare comes knocking back and this time it's like they are surrounded from all sides with no escape.
But the most heart touching was finally seeing Lily smiling and being happy with Zeke.
Yet things are not so simple yet and the danger seems to be all the more escalating now with betrayals coming from within and there being nowhere for escape.
There are so many twists and dramatic things that happened that had me like 😳😳 and I didn't know what the F was gonna happen.
And then the next minute the shocking turn had my head spinning and not believing what was happening.
Zeke, though that man had me completely on his with how he worships Lily and then the next minute I wanted to slap him and yell at him.
Lily and Slash though give us equal on fire chemistry just as Zeke and Lily although Zeke and Lily full on Lit up and burn brighter than fire with their chemistry.
The Ending part though, I was so turning the pages freaking fast. I mean WHAT THE FREAKING F was happening. I was beyond shocked and scared and nervous.
I seriously can't wait to dive into the next book after that explosive ending.

This is the first book in what’s shaping out to be an outstanding series.
Craving Control is the prequel that will give more understanding and is more detailed into how it all started. Told in Alex’s pov. Which I found very important because there is a lot to him. He’s a complex and twisted character. The book also includes important information about his family.
I would highly recommend reading it first before Tempting Fate. You can get Craving Control when you signup to Ms. Faust’s newsletter.
Now onto this book it was an emotional and highly intense read. I was on the edge of my seat throughout a lot of the book or my heart was thumping wildly.
But it’s also steamy and sexy. Those scenes ignited and exploded off the pages. Just sizzling hot.
A perfect blend of everything, danger, violence, evil, goodness, loyalty and love.
My heart was ripped to pieces for Lily and my soul devastated. She has barely gotten her life in order when her past comes colliding into her present. Psycho Alex is back to claim what he thinks is his.
Zeke has been there with Lily every step of the way in her recovery. Never leaving her side and a solid presence throughout her rehabilitation. That man loves her wholeheartedly and unconditionally.
But both he and Lily still have an invisible vacuum between them. They guilt and anguish they both fell is eating at them from the inside out. Their communication level is not at one hundred percent. The fear of losing one another has them guarded in what they say and reveal. Love the is most definitely there, no doubt about it, but the fear is the driving force.
Slash is both best friends with Lily and Zeke. And also has a main role in the book.
I loved how he was with Lily. How devoted and caring and loving he was.
Along the way there are lots of twists and turns. Things that left me stunned and flabbergasted.
There are betrayals that had me steaming mad. But I absolutely adored the loyalty of the MC brothers who are committed to Lily, Zeke and the club.
I can’t wait to read Making Choices!

This is the first book in this Trilogy. And wow what a start. This is a dark psychological MC story which I love. I love how MC stories are a band of men who standby and support each other and protect the women they love at all costs. This has the same feel but is much darker than others I've read. The author does an amazing job of dealing with some really triggering subjects in a sensitive way but which also shows the after effects not only on the victim but everyone connected to them.
I loved the characters in this story. For me the character that really stood out for me was Lilly (Cherub). She has gone through so much and is tormented by everything that has happened to her but deep down she still has a strength and a fire in her belly which I was amazed by. The way the author writes completely takes you inside her mind and you feel not only the physical pain but also the mental torture she puts herself through.
I will advise this book does have subject matter which may trigger some readers but the author spells all that out before the story even begins.
I don't want to give too much away as this is definately something you need to read for yourself.
Lilly went through a terrible ordeal on her 18th birthday. An ordeal at the hands of a man that nearly cost her life.
Fast forward and the monster is released and has his eyes still set on her. Lilly is now in a relationship with Zeke who is a member of an MC and he is determined to make sure he protects her. But what happens when he fails her yet again? Can Lily really trust anyone in the MC? And when suspicions start around her own father being the person who allows the monster to get her again who is she meant to trust? This is a story full of danger, angst, secrets, lies, courage and strength. It will have you feeling every emotion possible and has definately left me wanting more.

This is the first time I have read anything by Bella, and I had only heard good things about her work and was excited to see what she had to offer. To say I am hooked is an understatement. I had to stop reading this and go back to the first book Craving Control which I devoured in one sitting. Sleep is overrated.
Tempting Fate is the first book in this highly emotional dark and angsty suspense love triangle romance story in the Black Shamrocks MC: Australia trilogy. I do love me some dark, raw and gritty MC stories.
What a ride this story is. There is so much going on, but the story flowed flawlessly. The ebbs and flows just right. The plot is well done. The psychological aspect is thrilling, and the highly flammable emotions twisted me up inside.
There are characters you hate to love and characters you love to hate and everything in between. I wanted to hug, slap and kick some ar*e along the way. Ok, I did say it was an emotional read.

This was the first book I've read by Bella Faust, and I must say that I am going to be looking up other books that she's written! This is by far the best psychological thriller that I've ever read! I could not put this book down from the moment I started reading it I was intrigued by the back story of our main characters, Lily and Venom, and what had happened with Alex, because it was horrendous. The characters are created so realistically that they sound like my relatives, a bunch of bikers who look out for one another, it's the family code. I must say, this book is not for the faint of heart or anyone who may suffer from triggers due to sexual, physical, or psychological assault, if you fall into any of these categories, the author does warn you to be aware before reading. The twists and turns that this book made had my head spinning, I must say expect the unexpected because anything goes when you have a war of at least two separate gangs, add in young love and you are in for some real trouble...we all make mistakes, but are Lily's ever going to be repaired, or will they cost her the life of those she loves as well as her own? This story is truly a work of art, that is so mind-blowing, and so realistic, beware you will get attached and pick a side fairly quickly, but watch out, there are so many secrets being kept, and plans being made behind the backs of those you thought you could trust. Once you pick up this book, you are going to be craving more, luckily, I heard there's a pre-qual that you can only get from the author, as well as a part 2 that you won't want to miss! As for me, Bella Faust is joining my favorite author's list, I intend on following her so I don't miss out on any new books coming out.

I have to begin by saying that it is ESSENTIAL in my view that you read Craving Control from the POV of psychopath Alex.
That is if you can stomach it (I thought it was stomach churningly brilliant) but you must check the triggers for that AND this book...There is SO much violence and darkness. The author is very honest so take her at her word.
We have now moved on 3 years since the first book and Lily and her childhood love and all round gorgeous biker under boss with a big heart, Zeke are trying to make a life for themselves after Lily's trauma (to put it mildly) with the now imprisoned Alex.
Of course, you can't keep a bad psychopath down....that's all I will say on that one.
Just as Lily is surrounded by evil - her father is an absolute piece of work - so she is surrounded by good. Zeke blatantly worships her and does his best in helping her overcome what many would have been hospitalised long term for and not just for the physical ...... and then there's Slash.... He has quite the backstory.
There is more than a hint of a love triangle and I went in knowing that it could not involve Alex. I got a sense of false security when things were going well, but this is Bella - 'don't get too comfortable and pulls no punches Faust' - and then....
Sorry, no spoilers.
I must be sick in the head, because a part of me hoped that Alex had got the help he needed and done a full 180... Yip I know, once a psychopath, always a ....

This is the first book that I have read from this author and I am blown away. Why have I never heard of her before? While reading this book I kept thinking that it felt as if there was another before this one. Although this is book one, there is a prequel called Craving Control. You don’t need to read it to enjoy this one but if you are like me and need to know everything, you should read it first. I highly recommend that you go through the list of triggers that the author specifies at the beginning to see if you can handle the book. This story is a dark, suspenseful romance; emphasis on the dark.
Lily endured a devastating ordeal on her eighteenth birthday. After almost dying, she managed to survive. She was broken physically and mentally. Almost five years later, she is still putting the pieces of herself back together. The monster in her nightmares has returned early to claim her again. The MC that she is a part of is falling apart, her relationship is crumbling under all the lies and she’s getting suspicious of her father. Who can she trust?
The author wrote a superb story with many twists and lots of drama. I was literally on the edge of my seat at times. This book is intense. There is a lot of danger, blood and lies yet there is loyalty and love. Can I just say, “ What an ending!”. I have to read the next book.

Oh boy, this one was a rollercoaster. Lots of action and dark romance. Seriously please check trigger warnings before reading this book. There are characters to love and characters to hate and characters in between. I think the author did a realistic job portraying the effects of trauma and the healing process. Once I got started on this book, I flew threw it. The storyline did get repetitive at times and things could've moved along faster. I think there are lots of unanswered questions yet and more revelations to come.
Now, the love triangle. Did I know it was a love triangle going in? Yes. Did it say love triangle right in the title? Yes. As I read I completely forgot about this because Lily and Zeke were so good together. Frustrating at times, but they way they loved each and worked through Lily's trauma again and again was so sweet. Didn't think twice about the love triangle until BAM chapter 35. Ugh. I won't spoil the third wheel of the triangle, but I was thrown. I am kind of nervous for book two and all the shenanigans with this to come.
Finally, I've never hated a character as much as Alex, but man Brutus is a close second. The absolute worst father ever. Zeke and the gang better get their just desserts in books two or three or I will riot.

Tempting Fate is the perfect mix of a lifelong love, the struggles associated with coming back from being assaulted not once but three times, betrayal, and doing anything you can for someone you love.
Brutus, Lilianna's father, and President of the Black Shamrocks MC is a vile piece of work who is determined to use his daughter as a pawn in order to make everyone bend to his desire to unite the MC with the Kingsley/Maddison Mob. Zeke, aka Venom, is the VP and Lily's fiancé and childhood crush. Slash, Zeke and Lily's best friend and SAA for the MC who also secretly has feeling for Lily. The MC is split in two and as much as Zeke tries he's stopped and ultimately fails at every turn. Although these are the major characters in the story there are plenty of secondary characters that keeps the storyline interesting and had me sitting on edge wondering when the next grenade was going to drop and destroy everything I thought was going to happen next.
I was so invested in the story that when it ended on a cliffhanger I was completely left shocked!!! Be sure to check out the triggers before reading because this book is definitely on the darker side not so much of a romance due to everything Lily endures from Alex.

I Fvcked up. I should have read this one first. If you’re like me and you love a psycho villain, you may want to skip Craving Control until after you’ve read Tempting Fate. Or maybe the whole trilogy. I loved Alex too much. If I hadn’t read Alex’s POV I would have loved Tempting Fate so much more. This is the second book in the Black Shamrocks MC: Australia series but first book in the Duplicity trilogy.

I would recommend Tempting Fate to all dark romance readers. This book officially kicks off the trilogy but if you haven’t read Craving Control you need to do that before starting this book!!
We fast forward to 5 years after everything horrific and life altering events that happened to Lilianna Mayberry and her run in with Alex Kingsley! She is now almost living a normal life. She has the man she loves by her side Zeke/Venom and her best friend Slash protecting her and caring for her everyday! She is so lucky but her luck is always short lived and the world around them never gives them any kind of break!
Zeke & Slash know that Alex will come for her and if they want to keep her safe they need to play the long game because their MC & their family is falling apart around them and it’s hard to know what ways is up! This story is filled with so much passion, love, devotion, and devastating consequences for the men who love Lily!!
Be prepared to be full body shocked throughout this story because it is one heck of a ride and it’s one you will not forget anytime soon. Be ready for tears both happy and angry! Be ready for anger and annoyance by all the main characters and be ready for so many twists and turns that you’ll have whiplash by the end but it is so worth every painstaking and torturous events that leads to some unforgettable moments! I seriously recommend reading ‘Craving Control’ first before starting on this book, as “Craving Control’ is a prequel to this book/series and sets the groundwork and lays out the backstory that sets everything here in motion.
I won’t go into the story here, as I really don’t want to give anything away that will spoil it for you. But I will say that there are a lot of potential triggers in this book/series, things do get quite dark at times- and the story/series isn’t for the faint of heart, that’s for sure… so if you are looking for a light-hearted read, hearts and flowers, have triggers, or don’t like having your emotions toyed with- then this probably isn’t the book for you. For everyone else, strap yourself in because you’re in for a bit of a wild ride as Ms. Faust takes a dark turn, with shocking details that will strips you bare, then toy with your emotions, unbalance you, and twist your mind- all with an evil grin on her face and a sinister cackle echoing around her as she unleashes the tsunami of angst that’s brewing for her readers. Ms. Faust certainly proves her writing prowess with this dark tale.

Now I don’t want to waste time talking about this waste of space , he’s an oxygen thief and a waste of organs 🤮he’s an awful man and I’d love to cut him a few times and leave him in the desert so he can be eaten alive 🫣😱( I think you get that he’s not a nice man )
By the end of this read I was exhausted mentally and emotionally and I loved it ! I know I sound like I need help 🤣🫣 but this really had everything it was dark , sad , cruel , raw emotions , real emotions , fear , angst , betrayal, you name it I felt it and what does the future hold for this club and it’s members ?!

This story was about Zeke and Lily (Lilianna) Mayberry, Lily has gone through so much trauma, not knowing if she wçould survive and one family that haunts her. Zeke is with the Shamrock MC as VP he always thought he -wams not good enough for LIily, she is the Prez's daughter, was worried about her. There was so much action, danger, violence, enemies, trauma, anger, lies, pain, betrayal, secrets, lies, then once that was dealt with Lily was definitely under a physiotherapist it took her a long time to get over it. Zeke and Lily got engaged and he tried to protect her so when he found out Alex was out of jail, Lily's ex-boyfriend. Tempting Fate is Book One in the Black Shamrocks MC: Australia trilogy, but the second book in the series. This book is dark, angsty, romantic, steamy, and intense. It centers around the character of Lily who has worked hard to reclaim her life and move forward. Lily is strong, ferocious, smart, determined, and refuses to back down or play the part of a victim. After fighting for her life and finally beginning to see a bright future her past comes back to haunt her. Lily has Zeke/Venom by her side to protect her and look out for her, but her family and MC world seem to be crumbling. Lily loves her MC family and will do anything for them, but will they have her back when she needs it? I loved the character of Lily and how ferocious and strong she was. Her and Zeke were well matched, but it was such a rocky road for them because there always seemed to be something or someone getting in their way. This book had passion, chemistry, romance, drama, suspense, grief, trauma, betrayal, and will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Warning: It also contains subject matter that may be a trigger for some so please read the author’s warning prior to choosing to read this.

**PAY ATTENTION TO THE TRIGGER WARNINGS** Please, please, please heed the trigger warnings that the author provides because this book is DARK. That being said…if you can handle it YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK! I will say I have not read the beginning of Lily's story (I plan to as soon as I can get my hands on it); however, Faust provides enough backstory to give the reader an idea of what went down. This is an MC, dark romance, psychological mind eff of a book. There were twists and turns that I did not see coming (I thought I did, but no, no, no...Faust made sure to rip that rug right from underneath me). I absolutely love the L-O-V-E that Lily and Venom (Zeke) have for each other (even if they let themselves get in the way of it sometimes). I also love the way all of the other characters (the good ones...not the crappy ones) love them as well. Tempting Fate is full of love, hate, family drama, angst, hell, retribution, and everything in between. This book will definitely take you on a ride (all the puns intended) and you won't regret a single moment. But PLEASE heed the trigger warnings!

Oh My!! This story continues from Craving Control, which can only be found on the author’s website or signing up for the newsletter. It’s a free book so go get it! Both stories are triggering, wild and unbelievable. Two of the main characters, Venom aka Zeke and Lily aka Lilianna, are amazing. Best Friend, Slash is the best friend for a reason! And then there’s Alex, who we absolutely love to hate. Not to mention his family, Lily’s own father is on the hate list as well.
The love though, is strong between Venom and Lily. However, like all real-life couples there are problems, situations and feelings that need to be worked out.
Only it turns out, she didn’t need my protection. All she needed was for me to stand next to her without judgment while she slayed her own demons. -Venom
Isn’t this what everyone wants? To have that someone stand next to them, in strength, giving encouragement, love, hope. All the good things!
And then just when you thought things would settle down, this author throws the biggest, curviest, craziest, twist I think I have ever read!
Totally looking forward to the next book in this trilogy!

Tempting fate is the second book of Bella Faust’s Black Shamrocks MC: Australia Series. I have to say book two is just as good as book one, Craving Control. It starts from book one ends perfectly. It explain more in detail what happens after what Alex did to Lily and how that all ties in with book two and all the lies and crappy behavior from Lily's dad Brutus
( he's the President of Black Shamrock MC). This part also goes into details all the hard things Lily has to go through even after book one. Lily shows how strong she is and all the crap her and Venmons' relationship goes through and all the hard time they face, Lily's dad hatred of them together. Lily also finds out some facts about her bestie Slash and how she deals with them the best she can.
It is a really good book. Look up triggers before reading. But I have to say if you love dark reads & MC romances & all that MC bad boy action, this book series is just for you. It ends on a cliffhanger, but book three is already out, so you could binge all three.

This is definitely a dark book, but not nearly as dark as in the prequel Craving Control. Beware of the trigger warnings, because it does get down to the nitty-gritty in some parts of the book, but if you like dark and soulful books, this is the one for you! Love, hate, worship, deceit, betrayal, altruism, infidelity, and extreme tension; this book has it all. The love between Lily and Venom is so pure and raw, but gets overshadowed by each character’s inability to stop themselves from putting themselves in danger for each other and the ones that they love. Are they soulmates or are they just two people that fell in love at a young age and have fooled themselves into thinking that they are each others’ forever? I am dying to find out! Between the malice of the president of the club, the games that the rivals are playing at, and the potential rat in the nest, it’s left me wondering… just who will be Lily’s husband by the end of the next book and where does that leave the club? Absolutely phenomenal and must read!

The prequel isn't a romance, but a deep dive into a psychopath's mind where we hear his side of the story. Think Criminal minds except worse. When the author gives you warnings about the triggers, please understand it isn't just a line or a paragraph mentioning said triggers but pages of details. The kind of details that keep you up and make you keep the lights on. With that said, I feel the prequel was necessary. The author can spin a tale, but what blew my mind was the way she navigated these dark waters. I felt the gamut of emotions. Third, this book is more of a dark romance but please be aware there are still triggers that come up as danger surrounds Lily once again. Zeke and Lily's relationship is complex as it layers over the past. A past that starts to feel very "in the present". The author's understanding of the human mind and the way she presents it to us is very unique. Her writing made an impression on me. She wrenches emotions from the reader and is hardly breaking a sweat it seems. My compliments to the author!

Lily is still healing after what happened to her a few years ago. Now, she’s with her childhood crush. He’s doing everything he can to protect her, including keeping the knowledge about Alex’s, the guy who assaulted her, freedom private.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t work out because he comes back for her. Lily is understandably upset about being kept in the dark, and she fears Alex. But she’s also tough and puts up a fight, not letting Alex hurt her again.
Lily and Zeke have a lot to work on, but there’s other stuff going on in the club that threatens their relationship. Most notably, Lily’s father, Brutus. He’s just really shady and well, he’s just the worst. I won’t get into that, but Zeke really will do anything to protect Lily.

Tempting Fate: a dark and angsty love triangle romance (Black Shamrocks MC: Australia Book 1)
I just finished and I don't even know what to say or where to start.
I didn't read the book before this so everyone was completely new to me, it would have been helpful but not 100% necessary.
Zeke and Slash are brothers in every sense of the word except blood. They are Lily's rocks from beginning to end though it may not look like it. Like real brothers they are there through thick and thin. Zeke knows he can trust Slash to take care of Lilly any time necessary and that happens way more than it should have
Lily has been through so much starting with the trial at the beginning, putting her life together again after only for it to be destroyed once again.
I don't think I have hated a character as much as I do Brutus, it's a very strong and deep hate and I hope he gets what is coming to him
I am not a fan of cliffhangers normally, but I was so relieved to read the words To Be Continued at the end of this book. I will be reading it as soon as possible.

As if you couldn't hate a character more than Alex... well... Lilly's Dad certainly gives him a run for his money... this book is a hurricane of emotions from love to hate to anger to grief, the characters are written so well it's as if you were the one in their place.
Zeke and Lilly never seem to catch a break though Zeke doesn't really do himself any favours there considering he causes half the trouble thinking that he's protecting Lilly even though she is more than capable of handling far more than Zeke gives her credit for, I mean she survived Alex right. I know he means well but he really does need to learn that she is far tougher than she seems.
This book is incredibly dark and detailed, please do not neglect to check the trigger warnings they are no joke and your mental health comes first. If that is no problem then I hope you enjoy this Black Shamrocks MC Australia Novel.

This is the first book of the trilogy but not the first in the series. I did not, and don’t think it is necessary to read the book from Alex’s perspective to understand this one but it might fill in some blanks early on. The author starts this off with a trigger warning and I highly suggest you pay attention to that!
That being said, this dark romance has everything you need in a book— romance, betrayal, action, and angst. At 18, Lily is assaulted in the worst way imaginable- she is left with scars and the weight of the trauma but at least she survived. Years later, her tormentor is released from prison and the Shamrocks must find a way to protect her. This brings in the love-triangle between her fiancé, Zeke, and another member in the Shamrocks (don’t want to spoil it!). The characters are complex, and if you’re like me, some may even infuriate you. Looking forward to see how the story unfolds in the next book.

Lily survived a horrific event when she turned 18. She has been piecing her life back together with the help of her fiance and her friends in the motorcycle club. However, when her attacker is released from prison, her safety is at risk once again. This brings with it lies, betrayal, deceit, and even a love triangle. The story ends on a cliffhanger...as this is the first book in a trilogy.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. Let me start by saying it is important to heed the trigger warnings...they are there for a reason. This story is is dangerous and sexy....full of lies and love...hurt and anger....it's all there. My heart broke for Lily multiple times throughout the story...but she has a fire and strength inside her that keeps her moving forward. Each of the characters drew me in...but some I loved and some I hated. And that ending?!?!?! I will definitely be waiting for the next story.

I’m excited to start book two to see how the story continues. The story is of a Motorcycle Club dealing with turmoil within its leadership while its VP struggles with his on going relationship with the Prez’s daughter. While the writing is present tense, the reader is given information of the past to help make the story clearer. The reader gains more and more information as the story progresses. However, there still plenty of questions left relating to the president and his past.
There’s so much going on with this book. It definitely didn’t lack substance. You feel deeply for the main character Lily with her struggles of having dealt with a psychopath. You try to understand what Zeke is thinking in his dealings with Lily and with club business. You want to know if Slash is hung up on his best friend’s girl. There’s plenty of steam but plenty of violence to combat. You’ll go from happiness to heart break to wanting to throw the book lol. Overall it’s a very entertaining read.
