Red hot attraction, witty and barbed banter and an underlying constant tension make this book so much more than just an enemies to lovers romance. The darkness in Landon is a perfect counterbalance to the fire that runs through Lexi and the secrets he keeps give a depth to their relationship that not only really adds to the plot but also makes the ending feel so much more hard fought for and rewarding.
Lexi has landed her dream job, finally able to combine her love for fashion and journalism at a magazine she’s always admired. Life should be great but her boss is the literal worst. He’s the worlds biggest bosshole, an absolute playboy, and seems to have a really hard time with the word no. Definitely used to getting exactly what he wants, exactly how and when he wants it, Landon is thrown by Lexi. She fights him at every turn, messes with his head constantly, and refuses to even acknowledge the attraction that crackles between them. Lucky for him a chance run in with her ex-boyfriend has her exactly where he wants her, and he finally gets the taste of her he’s been craving. A taste is not enough and before he knows it, he’s breaking all his own rules, falling fast, and praying to God that his secrets don’t come out and snatch away his chance at happiness.
One of my favorite things about this whole book is probably that it feels like two people with crazy chemistry meet, they have slightly similar bad luck with love, but their reactions to it have taken them on totally opposite paths. One has shut down and the other found strength. Darkness rules one and the fire within burns brighter for the other. Just really added to the overall story and the interactions between Landon and Lexi. Another great read from Daisy Thorn and a great addition to the Demons of New York series.

Daisy! Why do you have to write such great books!
Lexi and Landon OMGGGGG!!! At first I have to admit that Landon was on my bad side. I really despised him lol. But at the end NO SPOILERS, he won me over!
“Were you ever in love?” I ask, and he takes a few moments to respond. “I was…but I’m not sure if I could call it love anymore.” “Why?” “I don’t think I knew the real meaning of that word back then.” I gulp, nervous and terrified to ask the next question, but I do it anyway. “What about now?” Landon is silent once again, and then his hold on me tightens, and the words that change the course of my life slip out of his mouth, “Now I have you….”
Go do us a favor! Go read it!

I finished this book a few days ago but I didn't want to leave a review on here because it meant I was done with the series... for now.
Landon was your typical dick of a billionaire who uses sex to escape from life and love. But what we saw was a broken angel who didn't tell you pretty lies to keep you coming back for more. No, he doesn't need to lie to get you into his bed. He thinks he is this gods gift to earth and we should only be so lucky.. till he met his mfkin match.
Our bestie Lexi said HOLD MY BEER.. now our sweet sweet Lexi she knows she's that bitch, but she's sweet about it. She grew up VERY wealthy so she doesn't need or care about Landon's money. She has her parents, bestie and her Demon, and her career she worked so hard for.
She doesn't NEED this man.
Landon met his match with Lexi and ladies let me tell you the mouth on the man! Lexi and Landon are explosive! But they both carry secrets that can tear them apart! Can their love survive the past and secrets?
One thing I learned growing up and that you see in these books are how STRONG these MFC are in their own way! My oldest daughter is 9 and I instill in her that she will be great, do amazing things and in life we don't NEED a man or woman, we should WANT them.

If you aren’t reading daisy’s books what are you doing with your life? You are severely missing out!! I don’t know how she does it making masterpiece after masterpiece. This masterpiece is in the shape of a grumpy boss and a sunshine assistant 🫢
Lexi has always dreamed of working for fashion linc and helping design and improve the magazine. However on her first day she unexpectedly gets a promotion to assistant. Then she is stuck with the most shameless and devastatingly handsome man she has ever met.
Landon is the ceo of fashion linc and when he sees lexi on the first day he knows he needs to get close with her as she is the most beautiful woman he has ever met. However, when his first plan fails he gives her a promotion so she’s stuck with him.
I love these two so much!! I don’t know how daisy makes such amazing characters that you love!! I love angst and this trope so much which is the cherry on top of the cake! I can’t wait to dive into my heartless soul I am so excitedd!!! 🥰🥰

Lexi Ellis lands her dream internship after TWO YEARS of being denied. Fashion Linc is a magazine and Lexi dreams of being a journalist. However…when your boss hits on you first day that can make you want to leave right away. Mr. Landon Locke plays the typical douchebag façade well. Landon has a lot of secrets and when things get out of hand with Lexi will he be able to tell her?
Wow. I was not expecting this book to go the way it did at a. Of course I expected the break up and reunification; but the reason they broke up…and what happened to Landon…heartbreaking. Landon is your typically grumpy boss (which I completely love) again, this book has an age gap so if you aren’t into that it’s not for you. But I love Lexi as a character she is someone you want to be friends with. We love an enemies to lovers and this book did it well!! Such a good read.

I LOVED getting to see Katie and Jules and get updates to their love story. In the beginning Landon was definitely on my bad side. I was struggling to get through him being so mean to women as a whole. By about halfway I started to warm up to him though. I laughed out loud a lot while reading this book because of Lexi’s one liners to Landon’s awful flirting in the beginning. He said some really cringey pick up lines trying to sleep with her. I definitely gagged a couple of times. This series has some toxic relationships, but honestly I’m vibing with it and having a great time reading them!

Even though I didn’t want to like him in the beginning, there was something about him. I could tell he was broken, hurt, and loved seeing little Lexi put him in his place and break down his walls.
While I liked the first book this one was my favorite so far……. So excited for the third!!❤️

I liked the plot…..but.
No one who makes someone a vegetable by beating them half to death escapes jail time. That’s crazy.
And how was Landon’s past personal life not splashed alll over the gossip columns or make the news? Again, unrealistic that he was able to keep his wife and best friend drama hidden.
And finally, the grammar and editing errors. I mean, did ANYONE look at this book? I would have corrected the mistakes for a minuscule fee. I mean, cmon. No one reviewed all the errors before it was published????

This book started with me hating the main character then wanting to Hug the him. It was just as good if not better than the first one. I love that daisy thorn writes these misunderstood men and makes you feel all the feels. very spicy 5 out of 5 stars.

This 2nd book in the Demons of New York series blew me away. The story was compelling and pulled you in with dynamic characters. A vast improvement from the first book this one hits home and shows Daisy Thorns growth as an author.
Landon and Alexandra's relationship is a sexy and drama filled adventure. I loved every second and can't wait tp read the next book in this series.

Lexi was amazing in My Broken Demon and I was so excited to read her book and it did not disappoint, I couldn't put it down once I started! Now I wasn't a huge fan of Landon at the beginning, just because he was such an asshole, but once you started to see the kind of guy he truly was I quickly changed my mind. This man had gone through so much and was holding so much guilt for things he should never have felt guilty about. He was such a sweetheart deep down, the little things he was constantly doing for Lexi were so freaking sweet! These two were perfect for each other and they balanced each other out completely, I loved them together so much💚

Wooowww what an alpha hole Landon started out as! And Lexi had a strong will staying away from him… until she didn’t. Hehe
Landon’s past was such a shock! Was not expecting that level of trauma.
Definitely some twists and turns in this one. Very enjoyable read!

Book 2 in The Demons of NY series and Daisy, Ma’am I did not like Landon at ALL. Then you had to go and make me LOVE HIM.
Landon is one piece of work in the beginning then you fall in love with him. Arrogant. Cocky. Man whore. Billionaire CEO. Has everything he’s ever wanted. Until Lexi walks in.
Lexi was a gem! Finally getting her dream job and working in the fashion world was just the beginning for Lexi. Lexi was determined to make it on her own. Spitfire. Sassy. Gives it to you straight.
