Book four of The McKeegan Series continues with Caden and Laura Lee's story. Each book can be read as a standalone. They only share characters and the the town of Langford, Montana. Laura Lee had escaped from her brother and home two years previously coming to the town of Langford as Sister Laura Lee, but Caden always had questions about her being a nun. There was no way, he would feel so attracted to her if she was a nun. He just could not shake the feeling that things did not add up. Then stage coaches began to be robbed in the area by the Bannock Gang. Once the leader was arrested and placed in jail. Laura Lee disappeared the same day. She saw her brother hauled into jail, and he swore if he ever found her, he would kill her. She had to get away no matter how much, she liked living in Langford. Her secret was out. What would Caden do now? Caden and Laura Lee would face many battles ahead of them, before they would ever come close to figuring out a future. Neither one of them were great at communicating in a relationship. They wanted to stand on pride and stubbornness. Enjoy this wonderfully entertaining story.

Sister Laura Lee is living a lie, she is not actual a nun but it's actually in hiding from her brought and his criminal gang. Cade is aware that she is hiding something, but is strangely attracted to her. Things come to a head when her brother rides into town.
In addition to the romance there is a large element of tablet with gang members being after Laura Lee. Her bravery in the face of danger is admirable, whilst also having compassion for others. Cade does not like those who lie, so finds it difficult to reconcile his feelings towards her whilst being aware that she is not telling the truth. The tension continues throughout the story, whilst giving both the opportunity to bring their best selves forward. In summary a sweet, American Historical Christian story with a mixture of romance and action.
I received an advance copy of this book from the author through Booksprout, however this did not influence my review of the book.

Loved it!!! What an imaginative mind to craft such a tale! This author is a favorite of mine as she doesn't disappoint ever. Her stories are written in a manner that I can really see the story more like a movie.

While this story is a part of a series involving the McKeegan brothers, you don't have to read the prior ones to fully understand and enjoy this as a stand-alone. I would highly recommend them as they are such a delightful cast of characters this family!

This is told in a dual POV format. Getting the thoughts of both main characters in a scene or directly after, really helps me to better understand and fully connect with them. It really makes the story more enjoyable, at least for me.

As with each story, I am so disappointed that they ended. I could just keep reading and reading them.

This is a sweet, clean historical romance. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

This is a sweet and heartwarming story and is Book #4 in the McKeegans series. This is Caden and Laura Lee's story and the character development is excellent. Laura Lee is on the run to escape from her outlaw brother and his gang and a horrible lifestyle and disguises herself as a nun. When Caden meets her he is attracted to her but cannot act on those feelings since she is a nun. When Caden finds out she is really not a nun and it is discovered who Laura Lee really is, she runs again to protect Caden's reputation. Will Caden be able to find her and rescue her from danger? Will Laura Lee become part of the McKeegan Family? Will the couple find their HEA? Be sure and read this great action packed story to find out; I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Caden is attracted to a nun, who isn't really a nun, but a young woman on the run from her outlaw brother and his gang. When the gang is captured and it comes out who Laura Lee really is, she leaves to protect Caden's reputation. When he finally goes to find her, they both end up in the outlaw camp, trying not to let on that they know each other. They both have to work through hurt feelings and insecurities before they find their way. I love the support of the whole family as they stick together to protect their own and welcome each new member.

Caden and Laura Lee's start comes when she is portraying a Nun. She is hiding from her brother who is the leader of an outlaw gang. When he draws near she has to run again, but she knows her heart is with Caden. She must protect that attraction between then and disappear without his knowledge.
Caden is taken aback by her flight and disappointed in the fact she left without saying a word to him, not even goodbye. Find her he must.
They reconnect and find their happily ever after with help from one in the gang that feels she needs rescuing.. They will be happy and the surprise ending is worth savoring! You will love this book.

Caden has a thing for Laura Lee, trouble is she's dressed as a nun, but he's pretty sure she isn't one.
Laura Lee likes living in Langford and loves looking after the children in the orphanage, she hasn't had to look over her shoulder for a while.
She's running from her past and her family. Then someone from her past appears and she runs, Cade tries to help but she leaves anyway.
Then things get worse for her, Cade is unsure what he should do.

Is she a nun?
I enjoyed reading this story. I felt so sorry for the heroine of the tale so much happened to her yet I had to also admire how she made it through it all. Her belief was so strong. The hero had some problems with understanding what he was feeling but also the mixed message he was giving the heroine. I enjoyed the ending it was a blessing what happened. A great addition to the series and well worth reading also I did receive a free copy of this book from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.

Another clean book in the series by Kathleen Ball.
Sister Laura Lee has been changing towns for the last two years. She’s now in Langford where she lives at the orphanage. She doesn’t want anyone to know she used to be with the Bannock Gang, not by choice. Her brother had brought them to their farm and forced her to cook and clean for them.
Caden McKeegan is drawn to her and is sure she’s not a real nun. Life changes for her when the gang comes to town.

The McKeegans. This story begins with a very confused Caden---he is really drawn to Laura Lee but she’s a nun!! Or is she? I don’t want to spoil it—but you will find out that Laura Lee is really on the run from a hard life and some really bad people. As their love story unfolds there is drama, hopelessness, suspense and some good surprises. Don’t miss this new clean, inspirational story from Kathleen Ball!

Caden is not interested in finding love much less marriage until he meets and falls for Laura Lee. Laura is hiding out from her outlaw brother and posing as a nun. When things take a dangerous turn Caden comes to the rescue. Caden is book four and a great standalone in The McKeegans series. The writing is well done and the characters are believable and well developed. I recommend this book, this series, and this author to everyone. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Sister Laura Lee is not a real nun. She is just in disguise to save her life. Being the sister of the leader of a dangerous gang, never was easy for her.
Caden realizes there is something weird with Sister Laura Lee the first time he sees her.
This was a great read full of action, mystery, suspense and emotion. The book is well-written and kept my interest from the beginning. I read it in one go.

Really Great Series

I'm really enjoying this series and all the characters. I loved Caden and Laura Lee's story. These two had such a strong connection but neither knew how to get past all the strife and turmoil in their life. They go through a lot before getting their HEA and it all makes for a captivating read.

I really enjoyed Caden and Laura Lee's story. Laura Lee was running from her brother and his gang. She had great faith in God and He protected her. This was a well written story and great addition to the series. It can be read as a stand alone story but I recommend all the books in the series.

Great book

This was a great book with characters that touch your heart. All of the books in this series provide plenty of action along with people who have the ability to love whole heartedly. This book can be read alone and doesn't need to be read with the series but I recommend reading them all.

A nun or not?

Laura Lee has run from her outlaw brother and is using a nun's clothing as a cover. Caden McKeegan sees through her efforts and watches for clues as to who she really is. This is a nice story of a strong young woman who doesn't let the hard times she has to deal with make her lose her faith.

An outlaw brother

The book was a continuous event after another. Lots of things happening to keep it interesting. Another brother starts a family but not by the standard courting way.
