Edgy suspense and slow-burn romance are back as the friends return to Everbeach-only to find that danger followed them home. Determined to unravel the dark dealings of an illicit enterprise discovered in Jamaica, Dawn and Elle join forces with a brother-sister hacker team. While the investigation intensifies, Dawn struggles to reconcile new perspectives with her parents, church, and longtime boyfriend. Elle's dad gets more serious with his girlfriend-leaving her juggling scheming twins, grieving her mother's death, and deciphering her attraction to an unavailable boy. After a mysterious stalker, bloody omen, and death threat make it clear someone doesn't want them digging for answers, the friends feel the pressure of this deadly game. But a terrible "accident" on a ski trip could ruin their chance to expose who's behind the evil in Everbeach. The third installment in a binge-worthy series, A Deadly Sleep delivers romantic intrigue and page-turning suspense for fans of Riverdale and dark fairy tales.
I NEED MORE!!! A Deadly Sleep is the third book of the Everbeach series and they keep getting better and better! This book was another roller coaster of emotions while you dive in the life of Elle and Dawn. Banerjee and Richardson have a beautiful chemistry with their writing and the four book can only be the cherry on top of this amazing series!
The journey continues! A Deadly Sleep is my favorite book (so far) in the Everbeach series. Elle is my favorite character and I loved that she had the point of view! A Deadly Sleep is filled with friendship, evil twists and turns, AND A MAJOR CLIFF HANGER?! Most importantly, that the ladies can be their own superheroes ❤️
I cannot wait to see how The Clock Strikes will finish the series!
Book 3 of the Everbeach series continued to keep me enthralled! The crew continued to solve the mystery that followed them to Jamaica and back, with new twists and turns, more danger and some extra relationship drama! I loved learning more about Dawn and watching her grow as an individual, as well as hearing from Elle's perspective! I'm very eager to read more in the final book!
This series has me hooked! The suspense and mystery was fantastic in this book, I couldn’t put it down. It’s giving me all the Riverdale and Pretty Little Liars feels and I am loving it. I will be starting the last book immediately!
This book & the next are the ones I loved the most! We get to witness the easy friendship between them during their drama classes! Logan, Raven, Elle, Grayson, all of them teasing Arya about Punkaj.. they've all come such a long way!
& then Elle & Grayson were chosen as Juliet & Romeo for the play! Elle- the pure, wild spirit! Grayson- always the gentleman, so thoughtful & kind! Everything that followed between them, slowly but so beautifully, & it felt so right! & then came their actual performance on stage that brought tears to my eyes.. of course the happy ones! They were Romeo & Juliet, but even more so Grayson & Elle than they ever before dared to be! It was just..🤌🤌❤️
Dawn! She was the only MC I couldn't connect with! I mean, I'm happy she found Keenan, he's truly a great guy & I loved him in both this & the previous book! But her behaviour to the rest of the lot? She was not only an idiot but also felt like the mean one in the bunch! She's already spoken a lot of wrong things at the wrong places & put Raven & Arya in tight spots.. But her overall behaviour towards Elle.. & even Grayson.. that was mean & selfish & I just couldn't stand it! She was the one to push him away in the first place, & then she comes throwing all the blame on the two of them, & playing the good girlfriend & innocent card? She deserved every word Arya threw on her face in anger because nobody else would or could have shown her the mirror the way only Arya is capable of!
That being said, I really did not wish for what happened to her at the end of the book! Oh & so much more happened throughout the book.. things I didn't even begin to talk about! So you definitely want to read this series! Anyway, see you with more updates in The Clock Strikes book post!
Book 3, A Deadly Sleep, is my favorite in the Everbeach series so far! I really enjoyed the two POV characters. It was great to finally get to know Elle through her POV, after her being more in the periphery in the first two books. With Elle, we have the classic modern-Cinderella-retelling tropes, with an added love triangle that is enticing and full of chemistry. As for Dawn, she is continuing her journey of figuring out the right thing to do, whether it be about her future, her relationships, or her faith. I found her continuous introspection, examining each belief and trying to figure out if it's something she wants or something that's expected of her, to be very compelling. I also think Dawn's storyline in the Everbeach series is neat because, in the genre of modern fairy tale retellings, I feel like there's not a lot of stories reinterpreting Sleeping Beauty. I am looking forward to tackling the last book in the Everbeach series!
I know this is a super late review but OMG I had to recover 😂 so many twists but it is SO SO good! This series has given me all the feeling if I’m being honest! I wish more people would pick this series up. So, if you’re reading this review… This is your sign to pick it up!!!
