Stand-alone story in a Multi-Author Anthology

Renowned African-American violinist Lilly is swept to sea during a freakish storm, only to be rescued by two playful seals. She wakes on an island with two handsome men she's drawn to in ways she's never felt before. Slowly, she comes to realize the island holds many secrets, including the fact her two lovers are, by night, creatures of the sea. And though the island seems a refuge, an old evil lurks in the shadows, waiting to snatch the trio's happiness away. Lilly, Chris and Brian must protect each other and overcome the evil not just to survive, but to claim the love they've found together.

I've read all of Ms. Kallyn's Dragos series and I quite enjoy her world. However, Wet stands alone as it has no connection with the Dragos clan. I tend to stay away from short stories as due to their very nature, authors tend to leave the readers with a few questions. However, Wet is a short, entertaining read, a good story. It's a fantastical love story for adults and as such, does push the boundaries of believability, but that doesn't detract from the story as a whole. Much like her Dragos series, the scenes in Wet are oohh la la, so it's a good thing the characters have water handy!

This was a really strange book. Questions regarding why the 2 men were left on the island and why they were cursed to me did not seem to be answered. It seemed that the girl was suddenly showed up on the island looking like someone they knew. The sex also was without emotion to me. One chapter was a dream but it was clumsy placed in the book. I do not think I will read the rest of the series as I have no idea where in the heck the author will go with it. to
