Yes, I'm rating a baby name book lol. But I am SO into this! Tiny overview: a lesson in phonetics and poetry that nudges you toward baby names that "fit" with your last name. 🤓

My word nerd mind was so happy to feel the creative wheels start turning as I read the first 40 pages. As someone who gets easily lost in and overwhelmed by the endless alphabetical lists every other resource seems to throw at me, I am grateful for the direction this approach provides!

Whether or not this book does you any good will depend on the what you're looking for. If you have a specific number of syllables you're needing the name to have and know where you want the accents to go, this would be great for you, since that's how the sections are divided. If, like me, you want to look through long alphabetical lists or through groups of names that fit a certain topic, you're out of luck here.

I found the setup irritating. If I wanted a girl's name starting with 'S', I had to hunt through pages and scan too many listings. They do include some really nice modern names, I just didn't like find it useful as is.

A very useful book for focusing on how baby names will sound with your last name. I found it very helpful with girls names, but the boy names were not as plentiful.
