Stories for Your Soul was a quick book by one of my favorite inspirational authors. The book is fabulous, but I was conflicted about whether to rate it four or five stars. So I rounded up. Mr Lucado repeated several stories from his prior books. I hesitated a couple of times to finish the manuscript, and I almost abandoned the book. Thankfully, I plugged through, and just like a joyful morning, the book redeemed itself. I enjoyed hearing the many new stories of faith, miracles, and redemption. If you're new to Max Lucado or just want to hear some of the uplifting, soul-comforting, and satisfying stories, this is the perfect book for you.

Stories for Your Soul: Ordinary People, Extraordinary God seems to be developed for young people. It might may young come to church and follow Jesus in their lives. And it may be possible for that with older people.

One of the pieces of the book coming to the end of the book is “When God thinks of you, he may see your compassion, your devotion, and your tenderness. (p. 125) The fact Eddie Rickenbacker comes up in the book and the B-17 working hitting WW2s.

The young members of a church could get something about faith.

An engaging book that collects some favorite stories from Lucado's books and puts them into a devotional format. I don't think any of them are original to this work, which might be a problem for a big Lucado fan. But I enjoyed most of these short pieces and many of them did, indeed, touch my soul. Our God truly is extraordinary!

I enjoyed this book of short stories. It is completely in line with the stories Max has told in his previous books; I feel like I even remember a few of them. They are inspirational and thought provoking. I also liked the questions for reflection at the end of each chapter.

Listened to this audiobook, read by Max. Like Jesus' stories in the Bible, Max told stories that show the good in people who follow their faith. I get a lot more from stories than just being preached at. Some of these brought me to tears, some made me chuckle. Thanks, Max!!

I was given this book by a friend. It is a very slender volume of several short retellings of inspirational stories of people who have come through something difficult, with the Lord’s help. A few of the stories were quite precious. An uplifting read from a decent storyteller.

A lot of stories that all have a lesson for us. Maybe we have a story that God has given us to prepare for our own life and to see Him in that story.
