Have you ever heard the sayin’: when life hands you lemons?

Well, I have too many of them sour things and I’m not a fan of lemonade.

My life is a lot of things but easy isn’t one of them.

Where do I start?

Growing up with a drug addicted Momma?

My friend Richie being kidnapped when he was eight?

Or do I talk about growing up with Maverick, Kal, and Mitch?

I can start with the boys, I suppose.

What’s there to say? Other than the fact that they were my everything. All we had was each other, and that was good enough for us.

But nothing lasts forever…

Grandma came on my twelfth birthday and found out how well momma was taking care of me and let’s just say a dog could have looked after me better.

She took me with her to Florida, but I hated leaving the boys behind.

Eventually, my grandma and I became close, but as my luck would have it she passed away after four years.

With no family to turn to, I had to go back home to my trailer in Hawthorne Heights on the outskirts of Tennessee.

It doesn’t take long to realize that everything has changed. The boys are crude and different.

But Momma hasn’t changed, she’s still using, and it’s just as difficult to take care of her at sixteen as it was at ages 7-12.

Thankfully, my luck changes when I go through Richie’s room and come across an old mirror. Maybe he wasn’t kidnapped? Maybe he disappeared…

Please make sure to check the trigger warnings listed at the beginning of the book.

So good

I usually don't leave reviews but this one defiantly deserves it. It's well written and has you wanting more. Defiantly need more Bane

Didn't finish. Nothing in the blurb about the warnings but at least there was a warning before the book actually started. Leaving stars because it won't let me not to leave the thank you for the page of heads up, but lower stars because it's not in the blurb where I wouldn't have downloaded it if I'd known about it ahead of time. The book looked interesting, the blurb catchy, but readers deserve the warning ahead of time, not once they open it up.

I loved this book, read it in few hours couldn't put it down. What a twist and the cliffhanger. Starts off like any book girl taken away from friends (boys) and then moving back when older, but then has a supernatural/magic and other world twist.
It is a must read I just wish I knew when next book will be released as can't wait.
