The Sound of Sleighbells

Rate this book
A cozy ranch setting, small-town neighbors, the uplifting magic of the holidays, and a Texas-sized love story make this brand new Christmas Tree Ranch novel from America’s First Lady of Romance, New York Times bestselling author Janet Dailey, the perfect read for fans of Diana Palmer, Robyn Carr, RaeAnne Thayne, and anyone who can’t get enough Hallmark Christmas Movies.

After her divorce, Ruth McCoy is eager to trade her children’s painful memories for new holiday traditions. But Ruth has a whole new set of distractions when fate brings the man she once loved together with the son he never knew he had…

Life has thrown Judd Rankin some tough turns, and he’s startled by the feelings he still has for Ruth. Though the successful rancher knows better than to chase old dreams, he doesn’t mind lending the struggling single mom a hand. And when Judd sees Ruth’s teenaged son’s interest in his custom saddle business, he’s happy to let the boy help him build the harness for Branding Iron’s Christmas sleigh. Besides, the kid reminds Judd of the young man he once was. A man who believed anything was possible…

Powerless to deny the growing bond between her son and Judd, Ruth knows it’s only a matter of time before her secret is discovered. But will the revelation shatter the tender feelings between her and Judd—or turn out to be her family’s greatest gift?

THE SOUND OF SLEIGHBELLS is a slow burn contemporary story that I was pulled in to from the very first page. To be honest, I fell in love with the cover the minute I saw it. I knew I would read it anyway, because I love Janet Dailey, or whoever it is that is writing her books now, but the cover really pulled me in. I mean, a cowboy and a horse drawn sleigh? Yes please!! What more could you want?🤗 This is the sixth book in the Christmas Tree Ranch series and you are going to want to jump right in, trust me! I loved everything about this beautiful story and I’m excited to recommend it to my reading friends. Janet Dailey stories always has a way of grabbing readers and they never lets us go.

Ruth McCoy has experienced three marriages; two of them were failures . Her immediate ex husband is in prison. He fathered Ruth's two girls. Her 15 year old son, Skip, was fathered by Judd Rankin; but he is unaware of it. Skip was adopted by Ruth's second husband, Tom Haskins, who was killed in a store robbery.

Judd Rankin has also spent time in prison for manslaughter. He accidently killed a man who was trying to kill Judd's best friend, Digger.

After Judd is released from prison he returns to his home town to settle down on his ranch. The ranch is not far from Ruth's house. Ruth has seen Judd from a distance now and then; her feelings for Judd are as strong as they were when they were both young.

In the interim Judd and Skip have met. Skip is helping Judd on his ranch. Ruth is worried that Judd will find out that Skip is his son; or even Skip may discover it on his own.

The story evolves during the Christmas Season. Consequently the readers can expect a suitable ending to this holiday story.

I received a free copy of, The Sound of Sleighbells, by Janet Dailey, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I love Christmas stories, any time of the year, their is something special about them. Ruth is starting over, and then her old love shows up. Judd has been going through a lot of things himself, life is messy. This is a sweet story, I enjoyed it.

This is my first Janet Dailey, and I'm not sure I'd read more. While I liked the characters and the mystery of the plot, it all seemed a little too cozy for me. The kids were literally perfect throughout the entire book, which screams unrealistic. The writing itself was a little lacking and seemed pretty basic. I really wanted to be charmed by this one (and maybe if I had waited for Christmas, I might have been), but I just wasn't.

3.5 stars - It's been a while since I've read a book by Janet Dailey, but this was a sweet holiday story. A single mom is hiding a big secret about who her son's father is. The secret gets harder to keep when Skip gets to know his dad, without knowing who he really is. Time will tell if keeping the secret will blow up her family or if Ruth and Judd can reconnect.

Ruth wasn't my favorite character, but I did enjoy the growing relationship between Skip and Judd, even more than the romance between Judd and Ruth. Skip is a likable young man and I was glad to see how things worked out for him and the rest of his family. Fans of Dailey will enjoy this second chance romance set at Christmastime.

I received a copy of this book from Kensington Books and Between the Chapters, but my review is voluntary and unbiased.

little too cozy for me but definitely put in the christmas mood and its only september lol. I actually don't have a lot of thoughts regarding this one. it was as basic as it gets, the small town setting kinda sweet and it was a short read. maybe I'd have liked it more if i read it around christmas but still it was fine. not too good but definitely not bad.

What a joy to spend a bit of the holidays in Branding Iron, Texas, where miracles can happen and first love can be rekindled, even when it seems impossible. Ruth is focused on building a new life for her 3 children, after her husband was sent to prison. Judd is trying to start his life over after spending years in prison for a crime that never should have happened. Ruth has no desire to have her son spend time with Judd as he helps the kid fix the town’s harness for Santa’s sleigh. She’s too worried her long kept secret will be exposed and her son, her daughters and Judd will never forgive her. Christmas is a time for miracles and Branding Iron seemed to get a bit of holiday magic for its residents including some rare snow. A lovely holiday read that put me in the holiday spirit. I received an advanced copy of this book for my honest review.

First and foremost thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read The Sound of Sleighbells before the release date.

The Sound of Sleighbells by Janet Dailey is an extremely cute traditional romance novel set in Branding Iron, Texas in 1998. The story is set around a single mother of three named Ruth. When Ruth was a teenager she fell for a guy named Judd, who happened to be a member of a motorcycle club. When one night Judd chose the gang over Ruth and got himself arrested for manslaughter Ruth took off and never looked back. What people didn't know was that Ruth was keeping a very big secret from Judd and needed to find a nice man to marry before anyone found out that her secret was that she was pregnant with Judd's baby. Ruth quickly married a nice man named Tom who claimed Skip as his own and they never told Skip about who is father really was. Unfortunately Tom was murdered leaving Ruth alone once more. She met a man named Ed McCoy who she married and had her two daughters with. Ed turned out to be a psycho who abuses Ruth relentlessly. When he finally snapped and blew their house up Ruth vows off men and focuses on giving herself and her children the life they deserve.

Flash forward to 1998 and now Ruth's living in a small rental house newly divorced from Ed now that he's in prison. What Ruth didn't expect is that Judd is back in Branding Iron with a very successful saddle making business and offers his shop to Skip and his two friends so they can restore the horse harness for the Christmas parade. That's when it finally dawned on Judd that Skip is most likely his son, but he doesn't bring it up to Ruth.

This story was so well written and cute that it kept me hooked from start to finish. It had romance, heartbreak, Christmas spirit, and a little bit of a mystery once Digger comes back to town looking up to no good. He's got some major secrets of his own for being back in Branding Iron.

I really enjoyed this book!

It’s been over a year since Ruth McCoy’s husband Ed was sent to jail for domestic abuse. Now she has a good job as a custodian at the local elementary school in Branding Iron, Texas, where she lives with her six-year-old daughter Janeen, her four-year-old Tammy, and her fifteen-year-old son, Skip from her first marriage.

Ever since learning that her first love —and Skip’s biological father—Judd Rankin was out of prison and back in Branding Iron, she’d avoided any contact with him. Now she’s on her way to drop off her son Skip and his friend, Trevor at Judd’s ranch. Earlier, Trevor had offered to help Judd clean his storeroom and invited Skip to come along.

Judd like Ruth’s ex-husband Ed was incarcerated for five years for manslaughter. He has no idea Skip is his son because after his arrest Ruth had chosen to keep the truth from him for her child’s sake.

On the other hand, Judd hadn’t stopped wanting Ruth. He’s written letters to her but his letters were returned unopened. Judd makes custom saddles for athletes, movie stars, and for horse competitions.

As the days progress and Skip finds himself working alongside Judd, Ruth can’t deny the growing bond between her son and Judd. Besides it’s only a matter of time before Judd finds out that Skip is his son. But will the revelation shatter the tender feelings between her and Judd—or turn out to be her family’s greatest gift?

A cute holiday romance story filled with warm characters. Would recommend

Thank you to Janet Dailey, NetGalley and Kensington for the arc of this book.

Digital copy from Kensington/Zebra and NetGalley in exchange for my review.
When Judd Rankin agrees to help some young people repair vintage horse reins in time for the Christmas parade he gets more than he bargained for including a reconnection to one of the kids mom, Ruth. These two have a past that ended badly and began a string of bad decisions with hard consequences. Years later Ruth is working hard to make a decent life for her children and knows letting Judd have any contact with them is probably a bad idea. Conflict enters the picture in the person of a bad guy with connections to Ruth’s ex. How will she manage to protect her family?

This seemed very “old school romance” to me. It’s the first of Dailey’s books I’ve read and while I enjoyed it I just didn’t connect to the characters the way I like to. That being said, the bones of the story were good and I think fans of the author and a Christmas romance will want to check it out.

Ruth McCoy hasn’t made the best choices in men. Her last husband is now serving time for kidnapping and attempted murder, but Ruth is determined to give her children the best Christmas possible. Part of that means letting her son work with rancher and custom saddle maker, Jed Rankin, to repair the harness for the horses used to pull Santa's sleigh in the Branding Iron Christmas parade.

But Ruth is torn between giving her fifteen-year-old son, Skip, who's had to grow up too fast, his heart’s desire and keeping her secret from Jedd, the man she dated seventeen years ago. And when a bad seed returns to town, Ruth will do whatever necessary to keep her children safe.

With the backdrop of the Christmas season, this story of family, community, and second chances is guaranteed to put you in the holiday mood. You won’t want to miss this sweet, southern, small-town, feel-good romance.

I received an advanced copy for an honest review.
It's not my favorite genre, although I like reading everything and anything.
Honestly, it's not terrible, I actually enjoyed it a little bit, but some parts of the story just seemed very unrealistic for me.
Yes, I understand that this is fiction and whatnot, but I kept thinking about how this happened or how this character knew this piece of information just like that out of the blue. This just made it a little difficult to enjoy to the fullest.

This is the 6th book from the Christmas Tree Ranch series.

This story is set in Branding Iron, Texas in November of 1998. Ruth is a single mom with a tough past when it comes to men, and she is done with them. She was in love with Judd when she was young. Judd was sent to prison for killing a man in a street fight after she had begged him to stay home that night. After Judd went to prison for 5 years Ruth found out she was pregnant with his son. She never told him and ignored his letters from prison.

Ruth then married Tom for security. Tom was a nice guy, but she wasn't in love with him. Tom was killed in a robbery.

Ruth then married Ed McCoy who she had two girls with. Ed physically abused her. Ed was sent to prison and Ruth got a divorce from him.

Once Judd got out of prison, he moved back to Branding Iron and kept to himself. He saw Ruth from a distance at times but thought it best to stay away. Circumstances bring them together and those circumstances are what the book is all about.

Enjoyable Hallmark Christmas movie vibe. Not too deep but a good book to get away from your own troubles with.

Though this book takes place during the holiday season leading up Christmas, it can be enjoyed anytime of the year. Ruth and Judd’s story is one of young love, wrong choices, regrets and redemption. It is an insightful, angst-ridden story with characters that evoke empathy and a need to see them get a second chance at a happily ever after. A poor decision led to Judd being taken away from Ruth at a time when she needed him the most. Some fifteen years have passed since the fateful night that changed their lives. Life has been a series of ups and downs since then for Ruth. She has been married twice, one good marriage, one horribly bad. The first marriage ended after a few years when her husband was killed during a robbery. The second marriage ended after her abusive, controlling and cruel ex blew up the family home with Ruth’s son Skip and his friend inside. The only good things about that marriage are her two darling daughters. Now Ruth is renting a home, trying to sell the family land, and struggling to make ends meet on a teacher’s salary. Skip is her saving grace. Just fifteen, he has taken on the role of man of the house and works part-time to help his mother with the finances. He has no idea that the reclusive neighbour of his best friend is in fact his father. He meets him for the first time when he accompanies his friend to help clean up Judd’s storeroom. Judd has been back in town for nearly a decade, living on his family’s ranch and also running a business making custom saddles. He keeps pretty much to himself and has only seen Ruth on occasion. He tried to contact her all those years ago after that night, but she never responded back. He knows she was married and has kids, but doesn’t know any details and doesn’t want to. He regrets the decision and actions that took him away from Ruth, the woman he can’t forget and still has his heart. Meeting her son is a little disconcerting and brings all his regrets to the surface. He has no idea that the conscientious, polite and hardworking teenager in his workshop is also his son. That’s a secret that Ruth believes he should never know, for the wellbeing of their son. Yet, secrets rarely stay hidden and this one is about to be revealed as a spectre from the past appears to haunt and terrorize both Judd and Ruth. As the holidays near, Ruth finds she has to deal with the past whether she wants to or not. Fate or a divine power has brought Judd back into her life once more. She is afraid to trust him with her heart again or with the hearts of her three children who have been hurt enough by the men in her life. Everyone, including their son, can see and feel the chemistry and connection between them. While Judd is eager to reunite and try again to build a future with Ruth and her three kids that he has quickly come to love, Ruth keeps pushing him away. Will there be a happily ever after in their future or more heartbreak?

I am a big fan of Janet Dailey books....her first books today that her family have kept her legacy and writing since she's passed. Christmas is my favorite time of year so already loved the book. The cover photo is beautiful as well.

The main heroine, Ruth McCoy, has been dealt a bad deck of cards when it had come to men. Her first love had been incarcerated, her first husband murdered, and her second husband, an abuser -- of both her and drugs. She has had to work hard to protect and raise her kids as best she could given her circumstances. She knows people know her history given she lives in a small town except.....what she thinks they don't know is, her first son as not of her first husband but of her first love whom she never told she was pregnant since he went to jail shortly after her finding out. She has kept that a secret until he, Judd Rankin, starts popping up into her life. Judd, whom has made himself know for his handiwork with leather and saddle making, knows he has a past, one you learn was not out of malicious intent but accidental. However, he was still at fault and he served his time. He's tried to keep to himself since his release although he knew eventually he would run into Ruth, whom he still loves. Bits and pieces of the early interactions, he does little things to help her out, out of his love he's always carried for her. It is admirable. Judd learned from his life experiences and made sure to do better for himself. What draws them more together is her son, Skip, whom is also his, and his friend, Trevor, convince Judd to teach them to fix the reigns for the sleigh that is used for the Christmas parade. From there, you see Judd's and Ruth's interactions more and more and the sparks that were there return. There is some suspense that picks up that adds to the story.

Loved this story. a part of me wished Ruth did not hide the fact that she was pregnant with his child, but then again, I understood. She was worried once everyone would know the truth that they would hate her or be extremely mad. Judd upon finding out, had such a mature response. Just made you love him and the man he became even more. Their son, Skip, was also such a mature young man for his age. One that every mom who has a son desires for their son to grow up to be. He handled the truth from his mother in stride - with love and understanding. Her other two daughters were a delight as well. The side characters added some fun and charm to the story as well. Abner is one of my favorites. I have plenty of those honorary grandpas in my life and they are so special. My only complaint with the story is to have a better retribution/closure of the "danger" that came into play near the end.

I am a sucker for second chance stories -- to see one or more find redemption, to move past mistakes and decisions, and to become better than who they were before, and yet still have some of the qualities that were great in the beginning. This is a story of forgiveness, fighting for love, and support of community in rallying around when times get tough. This was a beautifully written love story.

I enjoyed this story but found it hard to sympathize with Ruth. Judd and Skip and their connection was nice and how everything fit together was seamless. Christmas is a time for miracles and this family got one in a big way.

Judd and Ruth had a relationship when they were younger and he made a horrible decision that changed their lives. He did his time and is making the most of his life. When Skip, Ruth’s son, starts helping Judd repairs the sleigh bells for the sleigh, Skip finds his calling, but Ruth basically tells him no. She doesn’t want him to have anything to do with Judd. Judd has never stopped loving her, but he respects her wishes to not be in her life.

The main reason I struggled to feel bad for Ruth is due to the fact that she wouldn’t consider giving Judd a second chance even though she was keeping a huge secret from him and had no plans of telling him the truth. But, the truth always comes out. Judd was a good man and I felt bad for the way she treated him. I wish there would have been more of a discussion between them about him needing to process the news and how she had treated him.

Overall, I liked this book and would like more from this world. I received an ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.

The Sounds of Sleigh Bells by Janet Dailey is a wonderful small town, ranching family romance. The novel culminates with the holidays and the sound of sleigh bells, but it is the journey to get there that makes this a great read. It can be read as a stand alone, but it is the sixth book in the series called the Christmas Tree Ranch.

Ruth McCoy is a wonderful mom. She has managed to pull herself up and make a life for her children despite the number of disadvantages to them. Right now she is focused on having a positive holiday with her family and friends. One kink in the system seems to be her son and his friend are working on redoing the harnesses of the sleigh with a leathersmith, who has a history with Ruth. Then his friend shows up and is not a nice guy.

Judd Rankin made some poor choices when he was younger, but he paid his time and is now a respected craftsman. Two young teens are working on replacing the worn out harnesses on the sleigh, and this brought him back into contact with Ruth.

All sorts of surprises happen and there are so many good people in the novel. The novel is a testament to the small town where people help people. It is a novel of second chances and hope. The Sounds of Sleigh Bells by Janet Dailey is a good read.

In "Christmas on the Range" by Janet Dailey, readers are treated to a heartwarming holiday story set in a cozy ranch setting. With its small-town charm, uplifting Christmas magic, and a Texas-sized love story, this novel is a delightful read for fans of romance and Christmas-themed stories.

Following her divorce, Ruth McCoy is determined to create new holiday traditions for her children and leave behind painful memories of the past. However, her plans are thrown off balance when fate brings Judd Rankin, the man she once loved, back into her life along with the revelation of a son he never knew existed.

Judd, a successful rancher, finds himself unexpectedly drawn to Ruth despite his awareness of the complications that come with chasing old dreams. He willingly extends a helping hand to the struggling single mother, and when he sees Ruth's teenage son's interest in his custom saddle business, he seizes the opportunity to foster a bond with the young boy. As they work together on building the harness for Branding Iron's Christmas sleigh, Judd is reminded of his own youthful optimism and the belief that anything is possible.

As the connection between Ruth's son and Judd grows stronger, Ruth is faced with the looming fear of her secret being revealed. She must grapple with the potential consequences of this revelation and how it might affect her budding relationship with Judd. Will the truth shatter the tender feelings between them, or will it prove to be the greatest gift her family could receive?

Janet Dailey, known as America's First Lady of Romance, delivers a heartfelt and enchanting Christmas tale that captures the spirit of the season. Her skillful storytelling, combined with the warmth of the ranch setting and the relatable characters, creates a truly enjoyable reading experience. Fans of authors like Diana Palmer, Robyn Carr, and RaeAnne Thayne, as well as lovers of Hallmark Christmas movies, will find themselves immersed in the magical world of "Christmas on the Range."

Overall, "Christmas on the Range" is a delightful holiday romance that offers comfort, joy, and a Texas-sized dose of love. Janet Dailey's knack for storytelling shines through, making this novel a perfect choice for anyone seeking a heartwarming and uplifting Christmas read.

Ruth is eager to move on after her divorce and start new holiday traditions to help her children heal painful memories. Judd, the man she loved long ago comes back into her life unexpectedly when her son takes interest in his custom saddle business. Judd begins to bond with him and Ruth wonders how long until her secret is exposed… Judd is his father. Will feelings rekindle between Ruth and Judd or will the truth break her family?

THE SOUND OF SLEIGHBELLS was a heartwarming holiday read. I loved the cozy small-town setting and could easily picture this as a Hallmark movie. This is the first Janet Dailey book I’ve read. I was a little worried of what I was getting into when I first started reading as Ruth’s character and history were being introduced. Her life seemed like a mess and I wondered how this would possibly be a happy romance tale, but once the story got going, it became clear that there were charming characters and an ultimately sweet story despite the darker plot elements. It was easy to either love-to-love or love-to-hate the characters. I was particularly fond of Abner. The romance aspect was tasteful and not overwhelming, leaving themes of family, community, second chances and new beginnings to really shine. Taking place over a span of time that includes both Thanksgiving and Christmas, THE SOUND OF SLEIGHBELLS gives the reader a good amount of holiday spirit and a satisfying ending.

THE SOUND OF SLEIGHBELLS is book six of Janet Dailey’s The Christmas Tree Ranch series. I’d recommend it to fans of small-town romance and those looking for a holiday read. I look forward to reading the other books of the series as well as Dailey’s other works.

I’ve read a few in this series but it’s not necessary to enjoy this newest installment. I often read Christmas stories in the summer because I live where it’s consistently well over 100° and just thinking about snow helps! The characters in Branding Iron TX all have pasts, flaws, some have secrets, regrets and some are up to no good. Ruth has really bad history with marriage and her choices in men. Now she’s raising three young kids alone. Her old flame Judd returned home after his release from jail. She’s purposely avoided running into him. An elderly neighbor, Abner, might unknowingly get them to make peace with the past.
Themes of second (third or fourth?) chances, forgiveness and the power of love prevail. It was a little darker than I expected, but there is a good balance of holiday spirit throughout. I will miss the author’s special talent for heartwarming romance. I’m not sure, but I believe this one was compiled from her notes, etc., by her estate after her passing. It didn’t leave me with that cozy feeling and wasn’t quite as good as I remember the previous ones.

I would like to thank Netgalley, Kensington Books and Janet Dailey for the E ARC of this book. It is published on the 26th of September 2023.
This is supposed to be book 6 in the Branding Iron series but I think it was a prequel to the series. We meet characters in this book who are grow ups in book 5, so I was a bit confused by the book numbering. However that did not detract for the story.
The main characters in this book are Ruth and her three children and Judd. Ruth and Judd was sweethearts back in high school but things happened that Judd was sent to prison. He has been back in Branding Iron a while and has seen the struggles that Ruth and her family have gone through. He still has feelings for her but does she feel the same?
Ruth wants to make this Christmas a really special one for her children. What she had reckoned on was her son wanting to help his friends Trevor repair the harnesses for the horses who pull Santa and his sleigh at the town parade. This puts him in direct contact with Judd.
Add to this that one of Judd’s friends from the past has come back to town and it looks like he is out to cause trouble for Judd and Ruth.
I loved this book. Great characters and setting. I had previously read the first book in this series and will be going back to read the rest.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read The Sound of Sleighbells before the release date.

The Sound of Sleighbells is a romance novel set in Branding Iron, Texas. The talented author combines a western setting, and small-town characters to create a heartwarming story about family, love, second chances and new beginnings.

Ruth McCoy is eager to start new holiday traditions with her children after her divorce. But fate brings the man she once loved together with the teenage son he never knew he had. Ruth knows it’s only a matter of time before her secret is discovered.

Judd Rankin has had some tough times in his life including a stint in prison. He’s back in Branding Iron to start over and is surprised by the feelings he still has for Ruth. He doesn’t mind helping the struggling single mom or letting her son help in his custom saddle business when he shows an interest. But something about the teenager reminds him of his younger self. When Ruth’s secret is revealed will it destroy Ruth and Judds growing feelings or be their greatest gift.

Enjoyed this quick read with great characters, second chances , a HEA , and plenty of drama to keep the reader engaged.

Janet Dailey brings us the story of newly divorced mom of three Ruth back to her hometown. Life choices brings Ruth back and sees that first love Judd has returned as well. The past seems to be rushing forward as her son and his friend start working with Judd restoring the harness for the upcoming Christmas sleigh ride. As her past and her present collide, will the secret she has been harboring explode and destroy everything she worked so hard for? Or will it turn into something wonderful?

We get to see how Ruth and Judd first work around each other without actually coming in contact even though it is a small town and everyone knows everyone. Then we see how events from the past forces them to work together and how life choices impacts their present and perhaps their future. You keep turning the page to see what happens next and what will they do. It is a very nice Christmas story filled with love and family.

I received and read an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Kensington Books for this privilege.

A holiday romance that had some holiday aspects, but it didn't scream Christmas. This book more follows the redeemed ex-convict Judd and Ruth the single mom with some tough previous relationships, which is a pretty classic romance set up.

I like this book from more of a drama/women's fiction perspective. I didn't get much of the building romance or desire coming from the main characters. Yes they had a past together, but the renewed connection seemed closer to a friendship instead of romance.

I liked the kids working on the sleigh harness and the reveal of the past to Skip. This book does give you a sense of a tough life as a single mom and made you feel for Ruth's character and her choices.

I have loved other Janet Dailey books, but this one just seemed a bit flat from a romance perspective and had some unusual character name choices.

Thank you to Kensington and Netgalley for providing me a copy of this ARC for my honest review.

A fairly typical sweet Christmas story that easily can be made into a Christmas movie. Has a little bit of everything, first love, lost love, 2nd chances, secrets and cute little girls. A quick read that will get you into the holiday spirit.
Thank you NetGalley for this eARC. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story. #NetGalley #TheSoundofSleighbells
