Hey you, yes you. Hi, I just wanted to get your attention. Do you have a love for cars, girls that fight back, broken loves that heal, and a deeper story that your heart can’t take because you will be in a ball of messy tears. Well, welcome over to Iris Thunder where I have it all, and more. Iris Thunder has a deep meaning; Irises can be a symbol of Hope. But her name means thunder, the storm of a lifetime rolling in, are we prepared? She is, read more below!
This is a story of Taryn and her young life that hasn’t gone quite as smoothly as most, it’s been bumpy and horrible. From her egg donor’s death to her sperm donor’s part in creating so much trauma for this girl, you must give it up to her for surviving. She calls her parents those names and I believe you might need to read it to understand why, but it’s apparent that this girl is one hell of a strong Ox. She can deal with all of this and still wake up the next morning and decide that her life can go on even if she has had a stroke, been raped, and drugged at age 17.
But I will ask you this, are you ready? Are you ready to hate someone, to cry with them? To be angry with them, at them. If so, then buy Iris Thunder, I know you won’t regret it.

Wow, Iris Thunder really blew me away. This is such a beautiful but emotional and heartbreaking story.

In this book we follow Taryn. She had a really rough start in life. Her mother was a drug addict and gave birth to her prematurely due to severe drug use. Her father was addicted as well. But not as heavily as her mother. He took care of her for a few years. And he instilled a love for cars into her. Especially the red chevrolet he owns. But then the addiction comes back hard and he gives her up to deal with his addiction.

And that is where life really gets rough again. She gets abused and used in several foster homes. Until Matt and Jo take her in. They have two biological daughters of their own and another foster son.
But all Taryn cares about is keeping them all at a distance and drinking and using drugs as much as she can with her friends.

But even though she is heavily misusing it all. You can also see what a big heart she has. She loves her foster siblings and teaches the girls how to love themselves.

And then something big happens that changes her entire life. Everything gets knocked down and she is utterly lost. But she also has a deep yearning for something better.
I don't want to spoil too much of the story. I want each and everyone of you to experience this beautiful story on your own and form your own thoughts and feelings.

But the character development in this story is huge. At first we feel this heavy depression hanging on her shoulders. And slowly but surely hope comes in.

I wish I could hug the f**k out of Matt, Ja, Ari and Raya and Thomas. I love their love. How unconditional it is. How fierce and powerful.
And Wyatt stole my heart as well. At first I was like no, this cannot be the end. But then I read that a second book will be released in the future and I am happy about that.

SPOILER ALERT:
My heart cannot take it if Wyatt gets hurt in the second book!!

Iris Thunder really stole my heart and it is one of the best Chelsea has written so far! 5 big stars from me!!!
