Lapis was just as surprised as Loren about the true nature of his blade. There is only one way to learn more about the sword and that is to talk with its original owner, whom happens to be in the land of the demons. Loren is not too keen on this, even less so when he learns Lapis wants to use the opportunity to introduce him to her parents. He caves in after a little bit of pressure though. Still, getting to the lands of the demons is not easy even for people as powerful as Loren, Lapis and Gula.

The book is over the top violence (in that way too many people die to sustain a population, it feels a bit like a D&D campaign where the DM pays more attention to fun that realism when designing fights) and entertaining (if at times silly) interactions between the various characters, in particular Loren, Lapis and Gula steal the show. Nothing new there though. We do get to see a tiny bit on where Lapis' gets her personality from, and I am curious who her father really is, either a wimp or somebody truly powerful.

This is the first time that a volume of this series has an arc that covers more than one volume, but it ends at a pretty decent spot. So I didn't mind. And while I don't really mind, the number of villages that are wiped of the map are a tad too high when under close scrutiny.

Still, a very entertaining read if a tad silly at times. Really curious about the rest of Lapis' family.

A great volume in the serie.

The author delivers a great volume once more. Great characters, a nice plot, plenty of action and fun moments. The dialogues are well written and they depicted each character nicely. The characters are well fleshed with nice and unique personalities, and in this volume we get a new addition to Mr. Lorem party. Looking for the next volume in this serie.
