It was supposed to be a simple, easy marriage of convenience arrangement.
A few months being married to my grumpy boss so he’d gain control of his company, and I’d walk away with enough money to take care of myself and my mother well into the future.
After two years of lusting after my hot boss, the deal seemed like a no-brainer.
Except for the part about falling into his bed when I swore I’d keep things platonic.
Or finding out that there was a kind, caring side to him beneath that gruff exterior.
Or allowing my heart and emotions to muddle the situation.
I wasn’t supposed to fall in love with my fake husband, especially knowing that he was a man who avoided real commitment like the plague.
But here I was, setting myself up for heartache . . .
Maybe it was time to re-negotiate the terms of our agreement.
4⭐ Series ~ Reid Brothers: Blue-Eyed Billionaires, #1 Publication date ~ April 7, 2023 Page count ~ 198 POV ~ dual 1st Featuring ~ billionaire, fake marriage, boss/employee, work grump, a little bit of steamage
Logan & Mia Logan needs to get married in order to inherit his dying grandpa's company that he's already CEO of. Mia has been his assistant for 2 years, so she's the obvious choice to be his fake wife. The contract is signed and 2 days later he introduces his fiance to grandpa and he doesn't think anything is fishy, hmmm, a bit far fetched there.
If you've read fake relationship books before then you know how this is going to go down. I'm so happy we had dual POV to see how both characters were slowly realizing their feelings for each other. Logan was really sweet taking care of Mia. Mia had a nice relationship with her mom.
Overall, this was a quick read coming in a little over 100 pages, but it didn't feel quick. We've met Logan's brothers, Hayden and Dylan, and I'm excited to see what they have to offer in their own books.

This isn’t something “new” and astonishing, but it’s still a sweet and enjoyable story. Logan’s grandfather was dying and he wanted to make sure Logan was married and settled down before he named him to inherit the company Logan was already running. Since Mia, his assistant for a couple of years now, is the woman he knows and trusts best, he asks her to agree to a marriage of convenience. What neither had acknowledged was that they both cared for each other already. So it shouldn’t have been a surprise when one thing led to another. When would they realize they had both fallen in love?
Logan and Mia’s journey from boss and employee, to fake marriage, to HEA was fun, sweet, sexy and engaging. A lovely, easy to read escape which I enjoyed.

Im not normally a fake relationship romance person, but this one was pretty cute. The sweet, but no-nonsense FMC is the assistant to the grouchy, CEO MMC. She has no time for his crap and calls him on it if he is moody with her. His grandpa has terminal cancer and won’t let him inherit the company unless he’s married by the time grandpa passes.
I really liked all of the characters in this story. The MMC had quite a bit of character growth and gained maturity as the story progresses. He was very anti-commitment so even a fake marriage was a hard pill for him to swallow, but he trusts & likes his assistant (and is attracted to her.). Despite his grouchiness, the FMC really likes the MMC (and is also secretly attracted to him.). His brothers were brats as they knew the marriage was fake, but also concerned for their brother because they worried he’d get hurt. The FMC’s sweet mother shares similar concerns for her daughter, but no one else knows.
I don’t think there was a single character that I didn’t like and I enjoyed the story, despite the angst I usually avoid. I look forward to reading the next one!

While I do enjoy the trope when it is well done, the entire concept of a marriage of convenience, which in the modern world is so implausible, is greatly overdone in contemporary romance. However, this one did add an element of poignancy, as it was the directive of a loving grandfather who was dying. Not so much the marriage of convenience, of course, but Grandpa wanted to see his oldest grandson marry before he dies, and in fact, he made it a stipulation in his will that his grandson would not inherit the family company if he did not marry before his death. The scenes with the grandpa were touching, and as a nurse, some of them brought back memories of working with patients. I liked the intimate tension between the couple. Both have harbored a powerful attraction towards each other that they haven't acted on for professional and personal reasons, and it was cute to watch them struggle with this independently… until they struggled no more… but in doing so, created more drama and intensity. I loved the brother dynamic between Logan and his two younger brothers, and I look forward to their romances. The brothers are certainly distinct, and the way they act is as real siblings do. Everybody knows each other's buttons...which makes sense because they helped install them! This is a relatively quick read. Recommended.

Logan's grandfather is dying of a brain tumor and he's decided that Logan won't inherit the company unless he gets married. So he asks his assistant Mia to fake marry him. Only of course it won't stay a fake marriage for long as they both develop or recognize their feelings. This story is a quick read, everything happens pretty quickly, although of course Logan and Mia have known each other for some time before the wedding. There is some sexual content, not very graphic.
There's something about fake marriage stories that I love, the forced proximity and the faking it until you're feeling it aspect... It's just that I can't really figure out how anyone would take it seriously. Logan's grandpa is like, hey, you have to get married, and Logan goes, oh but I'm not dating anybody, and a couple of days later he shows up with Mia, hey grandpa, I forgot the other day but we're in lurrrve, and grandpa is like yeah. Very convenient... Hard to see how anybody would believe it's real. I guess some of his relatives don't.

This is the 1st book in the Reid Brothers:Blue Eyed Billionaire series featuring the sweet fake marriage, billionaire, boss/employee romance told in dual P.O.V between Logan and Mia. Logan is the CEO of his company but in order for him to inherit the company that his dying grandfather started he needs to get married. Mia is Logan's assistant and she's been with him for 2yrs so she's his first choice when it comes to a fake wife. Mia has had feelings for Logan for 2yrs so when he explains the deal to her of course she agrees her only mistake was thinking that things could stay platonic between them. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this sweet, fake marriage, billionaire, boss/employee romance to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

How do you keep your hands of your sinfully attractive boss for six months of your fake marriage? That’s the question Mia has to ask herself when her hunky, but grumpy boss, Logan asks her to fake-marry him in order to inherit his grandfather's company. I loved that these two have worked together for two years, both fighting an attraction for the other; needless to say, the steam soon erupts between them when they are alone together in his house. I really enjoyed the way each still doesn’t admit their growing feelings to the other and the golden opportunity for their mutual happiness and their sigh-worthy HEA is nearly missed! I also liked the other characters in the story as well, including Mia’s mother and Logan’s brothers. This is the first in a series, and I will certainly be reading the others.
I recommend that you read this book I enjoyed it &I hope you will also. This story is about a guy named Logan & Mia who is his personal assistant. Logan & his brothers are having dinner with thier grandfather who is terminal ill & doesn't have long to live. Logan's brother's come up with an idea to get fake married & they try to set him up with the waitress where they had lunch. He gets upset with them. This is book number 1 of the Reid Brothers: Blue-Eyed Billionaires series and focuses on Logan and Mia. Logan is the CEO of his family’s company and Mia is his assistant of 2 years. When Logan finds out that he needs to get married to officially inherit the company, he ends up telling Mia the situation and asking her to marry him. What is supposed to be a simple fake marriage of convenience turns into so much more when they both begin to fall for each other and the marriage becomes anything but fake. This was a great story and a great introduction to the series.

When Logan took over his grandfather's company after he stepped down, he assumed it was automatic that he would inherit it when he passed. At a family dinner, Logan was informed that he would have to be married to get the company. With less than 3 months to find someone, Logan was at a loss.
Mia was Logan's assistant and has had feeling for him. When he asked her to marry him to keep the company, she almost turned him down if it was not for her mother.
Marriage of Convenience stories are perfect when there are hidden feelings and heated passion that explodes on the pages.

All of the elements for a unrequited crush, fake marriage, unplanned pregnancy book are here but it just didn't keep my interest. It dragged yet it is a novella and is set over a short timeframe. There wasn't enough interaction to build any chemistry or to for anybody to challenge their relationship. This was a shame as I had read another book by the authour immediately before that I really liked despite it being one of my less liked tropes, so maybe my expectations were too high.

Logan needs a bride and fast. Grandpa is dying and has threatened to change his will unless Logan gets married. His assistant Mia is perfect and he has always had secret feelings for her. Can they convince everyone the relationship is real? And what will they do when the6 both realise their real feelings?
I liked this one, great characters that you really want to get on, nice pace to the story, plenty of heat, a hint at future books for the other two brothers, and a lovely HEA.

This book was absolutely fantastic and will have you enthralled from the beginning until the end and the storyline flowed throughout the book. Logan's grandfather is dying and in his will Logan has to get married or he won't be ceo of the company anymore. Mia has been secretly in love with Logan but when he ask for help will she do it knowing that her heart can be destroyed?such a wonderful story and heartbreaking at the same time.

This is Book 1 in the Reid Brothers: Blue-Eyed Billionaires Series by this author. It is a lighthearted romance between billionaire CEO Logan and his assistant, Mia. What starts out as a fake marriage arrangement turns into something more. It is a love story with enough drama, steam, sweetness, frustrating moments, family dynamic, twists and turns, and engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. A quick read with a happy ending.

Logan is in desperate need of a wife...so of course he asks his assistant Mia to enter an agreement with him. They've both held a secret attraction to one another. Will they give in to their desires? What will happen if it goes from fake to real for either of them? There's a hint at more books too about his brothers, looking forward to seeing what happens with them too!.

Enjoyed reading how this boss romance allows this couple to explore their mutually secret attraction. They definitely work well together, love the sibling banter and how she deals with his grumpiness. Sweet, steamy with some tense and heartfelt moments.

Logan’s grandfather was very six and only had six months to live. Logan was currently running the company but grandfather told him if he didn’t get married then he would leave the company to someone else. Logan decided to marry his assistant Mia. However, love quickly grew between these two followed by a happily ever after.
After a few months being married to her grumpy boss so he’d gain control of his company, and she’d walk away with enough money to take care of herself and her mother well into the future. After two years of lusting after her hot boss, the deal seemed like a no-brainer. Till things get complicated. An entertaining read. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
The author has given us a wonderful fake marriage story that pulls us into the lives of Logan and Mia. The story keeps us turning the pages with unspoken attraction, denial and steam.

This was a great story. Steamy and sweet. I loved it. It was an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. So overall, this was a very steamy and enjoyable romance and I am looking forward to the rest of this series. Happy reading everyone
Logan and Mia were good together. There was just the right amount of angst. There were plenty of loving family members, even with some dysfunction. A true HEA story.
His need to please his beloved grandfather, his hidden attraction to his fake fiancé, and the lines that all too soon blur together. Definitely a steamy book with a happy they're together in the end ending.
This book can be read as a standalone, the other books are just in the same family/world. I believe they're of Logan's brothers.
