I mean, ik kan zien waarom ik deze boeken zo leuk vond als kind. Plot en karakters niet bijzonder, maar de illustraties en vormgeving is prachtig.

Maar wel leuk om favorieten opnieuw te lezen en te zien hoe mijn smaak is veranderd :)

Rating is voor nostalgische redenen.

Como todas a todas las historias del Club de Lecturas Nocturnas, la calificación ha sido otorgada por mis hijos.
A mi me ha parecido un buen libro para crear hábito de lectura en edades infantiles. La historia está bien trenzada, aparecen personajes muy interesantes como Gunnar, el gran lobo blanco, o Helgi, el paciente jardinero que tiene a su cargo el cuidado de el Gran Árbol, y el desenlace, aunque fácil de intuir para un adulto, incluso siendo yo uno que aún no termina de madurar, para ellos ha resultado fascinante, hasta el punto de tener que leer en una sola noche lo planificado para dos.
Siempre que escribo una reseña del Club de Lecturas Nocturnas señalo que el mejor termómetro de los libros que leo en este rato anterior a que ellos comiencen a navegar por sus sueños, es el mayor o menor interés que muestran por irse a la cama para escuchar la historia. Y han sido muchas noches las que se han adelantado el camino a sus aposentos para descubrir que ocurría con Nives y el resto de personas y seres que la acompañan en estas páginas.
Me da que el de los Hielos no va a ser el único reino que voy a visitar y que Nives no va a ser la única Princesa de Thea que voy a conocer. Cosas que pasan.

Oke kijk,
Het was een oké boek, ik was er lekker snel doorheen, maar hij was een beetje rushed. Eerlijk gezegd had ik wat meer villain acties van prins-Hans-like Herbert willen zien, aangezien ze zo easy Calengol hebben vermoord. Iedereen was ook aardig dom, maar goed, technisch gezien ben ik ook te oud om dit boek te lezen. Het rijk is ook onlogisch? Waarom is alles zo ver weg van haar kasteel? Ik vond het wel epic dat Herbert even een epic villain werd op het einde en ik kan niet wachten tot ie terugkomt.

Minpunten voor Nives being a basic bitch (I mean seriously? Je hebt 100.000 boeken en dan zijn je favoriete boeken een sprookjesboek en een boek met kinderrijmpjes?) en dr furry fetish. Slightly disturbing.

Thea Stilton is a childhood fave author of mine and I never read this series of hers. I saw the first 5 at the library and decided to take them with me, they'd be great summer reads.

Ice Princess was totally adorable and had a pretty decent plot line. Usually I can guess what will happen with Middle Grade books, but this one was not as predictable as I thought it would be.

This cute Middle Grade book gets three stars from me and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to read a fun Middle Grade fantasy.
I've read this book in my native tongue (Dutch) which was a little weird at first, because I usually only read in English. Everything just sounds way better in English. I wasn't as annoyed with the language as I expected to be and I'm quite relieved about that.

I'm most certainly going to finish at least these five, but maybe just the entire series. I'm pretty sure the library has all of them. They're just so terribly cute and the story is interesting enough that it makes me want to keep reading, which is a very good sign. The second book was my sister's favorite one so I'll see if I like that one best too.

Rileggere questo libro, che mi ha accompagnato negli ultimi anni di infanzia, a 20 anni mi ha fatto uno strano effetto. È stato bello sentire come, pur rileggendolo molti anni dopo, le sensazioni e le emozioni suscitate fossero sempre quelle. Per essere un libro per piccoli lettori in erba devo dire che è scritto decisamente bene e le descrizioni sono fantastiche e dettagliatissime. È stato un esperimento piacevole, soprattutto perché i libri di Tea Stilton mi hanno proprio segnata in quanto lettrice. Son contenta, non pensavo che ci sarei riuscita e che ne sarei rimasta piacevolmente colpita!
Comunque sia la trama che lo stile sono elaborati il giusto per il range di lettori a cui è rivolto questo libro (le descrizioni erano così puntuali che credo sia stato da quando ho letto questo libro che ho iniziato ad apprezzarle così tanto).

After about 8 years I decided to re-read this favourite childhood series.

All though it felt like I was reading a script at the start it got better as the book progressed. I do remember loving Nives back then, but now something about her irritates me.

For a children’s fantasy book I think it’s pretty good, since it’s not as predictable as most of them are, but I’d still say it’s a 3 star book. The reason for this is that the book felt rushed and character were very stereotypical/theatrical.

It would actually be 4'5 stars, but Goodreads doesn't allow that, and I've decided to round it up since childhood nostalgia hits hard.
It's a great book for children and not-children as well. I remember reading this when I was 7 and absolutely loving it, finishing it in barely two sittings. I decided to revisit it when my sister, now 10, decided that she was interested in reading but she needed some fantastical, light, kinda cute but also adventurous book.
Thinking about how much I loved this book I decided to re-read it, in order to see if she would be intrigued or not. I loved it. It's light, but it's full of world building information. Characters are easy and fun to understand, but also very distinct from each other. The writing is fast-paced, enough for you to breeze through, and still understand everything that's going on.
I read the first chapter to her the other night, telling her that it was just the beginning of a short tale, and she asked me to lend her the book, so I think I've achieved my objective!
I highly recommend revisiting it, if you're older, or even reading it; and discovering it to young children, if you're a parent, or a relative!

De nostalgie…. Dit is echt de start geweest van mijn liefde voor fantasy denk ik :)
Dit specifieke deel heb ik ook echt 20x opnieuw gelezen, het is nu ik er over nadenk een soort Belle & het Beest + de IJskoningin retelling/remix, supervet! Maar ik was (ben) sowieso echt obsessed met alles waar de naam Thea Stilton (of Geronimo Stilton, remember de Fantasia-boeken?? 😲) op staat.

He comenzado a releerme esta saga de mi infancia. Me atrevería a afirmar que fue la primera colección que me enganchó, la primera que recuerdo con muchísimo cariño y como una gran historia.

A pesar de haber pasado tantos años y de conocerme la historia (esta primera aún más), me ha encantado, me ha enganchado y lo he admirado. Su trama sencilla de seguir a la vez de contener distintos giros (esta vez, como ya nombré, me los conocía, no sabría decir si, al ser una lectura infantil, es previsible o no).

Reiterando en esto último, a pesar de ser una historia para niños, he disfrutado mucho, no tiene un lenguaje torpe ni aburrido, la narradora omnipresente le proporciona mayor formalidad a la historia.

Los personajes han sido entrañables con apariencias ilustradas a lo largo de las páginas.

Recomendaría esta historia, a aquellos niños que quieran encontrar en la lectura un espacio de disfrute y a todos aquellos adultos/adolescentes/jóvenes, que quieren viajar a algún momento de su pasado, donde las historias estaban llenas de una fantasía sencilla, pura, inocente e intrigante.

Questo era uno dei miei libri preferiti quando ero piccola, ma per quanto vi sia affezionata non posso sentirmi coinvolta come tanto tempo fa. È una lettura che sicuramente farò fare alle mie figlie, un giorno, perché trovo che sia un libro davvero carino per iniziare a esplorare più approfonditamente i romanzi.
