Kiriya, reeling over a break-up with his ex-lover, wonders if life is worth living, or if he should end his pain once and for all. Yuuya wallows in his own self-pity after receiving news that his career as a pianist is over. In the middle of a busy intersection, Yuuya witnesses a despondent stranger walk into oncoming traffic, and pulls Kiriya to safety. Is this life-saving meeting fate or mere coincidence? As Kiriya and Yuuya bond through their shared unhappiness, a physical relationship develops. Can the two heal each other’s wounds?
Egyszer, találkozott két férfi, akiknek a lelke összetört.
A lovely story about two guys meeting when they are both going through rough times and creating a not quite friends with benefits relationship out of it. It's not until Kiriya, 27, finds a job at Yuuya's, 17, school that their relationship turns into something forbidden but also more settled and far more intimate and loving only for them to be torn apart when they are found out and ultimately kept apart.
I loved the story and the art was beautiful. It had me tearing up a few times especially when they were forced apart and unable to see each other. I couldn't stop the little goofy smile I had whenever Yuuya would get jealous over all the students fawning over Kiriya, though. Very cute story. Recommended
My first expetation is not so high, I mean, because the art. But, this story is susprising me at all. I know love story between teacher and student is cliche in comic, but this one have some different here and there. Yet, I find my self love it, especially, the ending. You must know the hurt and happines is mix there.
A new favorite. Yes, there was the trope of student/teacher which can be uncomfortable, but here it worked so well. Most likely because, like Hitorjime My Hero, the personal relationship began before the teacher/student relationship. Regardless, these two are perfect for each other and I was very moved by their story.
I know spacealien_vamp didn't think much of this, but I liked it. Setting aside my slight(?) student/teacher fetish, and the fact that sex before love doesn't bother me, I think it helped that I originally read most of it in Be x Boy, and (for all that I swear up and down how much I hate them and that they're unnecessary) I think the the cliffhangers made me anticipate the next chapters so much that it made the story better. I'm not sure how I feel about the "oh noes, another teacher saw us making out" crisis at the end...on the one hand, I think it shows fairly realistically what could actually happen to a student and teacher having a relationship. On the other hand, I'm not sure that I really want realism in my student/teacher smut, because I HATE the idea of students and teachers dating in real life, so...sometimes realism isn't your friend. :(
This is a perfect example of an often used trope done *right*.
When Kiriya and Yuuya meet, they're both at a really bad place in their life - Kiriya's just been dumped *and* fired by his former lover, and Yuuya, who was an aspiring pianist, has lost the use of his fingers due to an accident. The two start having an affair and get along really well together - until Kiriya gets a new job at Yuuya's highschool and finds out that Yuuya isn't 19, as he claimed, but only 17. Of course Kiriya says they need to stop seeing each other, but at this point Yuuya has already fallen in love with him.
Usually, I'm not a big fan of student/teacher relationships, but this was really well done. There was nothing I didn't love about it - even the length of the story was perfect. So even if you, too, don't like stories about students and teachers, give this one a try.
So, I would lie if I said I didn't like it. What I don't like is the student/teacher aspect. But there seems to be a difference at least in the ogrinal of the meeting: away from school so that is big for me. Both meet in a time period when it is rough for them Kiriya near the end after their lover breaks his heart while Yuuya is lost over his ending pianist career due to an injury that makes the hand useless for the fine motor skills needed for so. Intertwined on a fate full evening the two become more than friends yet not quite lovers, they are on the weekends,
The art is consistent. the story is interesting although some aspects I feel felt more in line as though all were younger mindsets versus one being an actual adult and the others being minors but yeah. Took me about an hour to read so it was a nice thing to pass some time with
This is the best teacher/student romance I have ever read. The younger student and the older teacher act their age while still being compatible. The story actually adresses the consequences that a teacher/student relationship could cause. If you ever were on the fence about reading a story about a romatic relationship between a student and teacher I would highly suggest this. Compared to most of the other ridiculous student/teacher manga and literature out there this one has a lot more realism.
This is a yaoi story about Kiriya and Yuuya. Yuuya is a student that used to play the piano but his hand got hurt so he doesn't play anymore and Kiriya is getting over breaking up with someone. The first meet in the streets and end up meeting up hear and there. What neither of them realize is that Kiriya is a teacher and Yuuya is a student. Will they continue to date once this comes out or will they dissolve the relationship.
A romance between a student and a teacher. There were same realistic parts, like when they were caught and because of that, separated. Kiriya, the teacher, was the 'cute' one in the relationship.
The story was fine and sometimes tender, but I could not help not liking it. Yuuya was only 16 years old, and Kiriya, 27. Most times I do not mind the student/teacher relationship (in fiction), but this one seemed so real I could not get into it.
I have mixed feelings about this one because the seme is 16 yrs old and the uke is his teacher D: Of course Kiriya didn't know that Yuuya was in fact 16 yrs old when they met, because Yuuya said he was 19 and a college student. And Kiriya became his teacher a few weeks/months after they actually had a relationship (not exactly a relationship tough ), but I guess the heart wants what the heart wants.
(3.5) loved the (realistic) reaction of the teacher when our pair are discovered. i don't think i've ever come across that before, although plenty pay lip service to the idea that teacher-student relationships are, you know, unethical. the ending was also awesome, for the same reason.
This story was beautiful-one of my favorites. A forbidden teacher-student realtionship. I cried so much at the part where they had to stop meeting after they were found out.
