ラーゲリより愛を込めて

二宮和也・北川景子が出演した映画『ラーゲリより愛を込めて』(2022年12月9日公開)、究極の愛を描く感動巨編映画、その見どころを余すところなく伝えるノベライズ版。

原作は講談社ノンフィクション賞・大宅壮一ノンフィクション賞をダブル受賞した『収容所(ラーゲリ)から来た遺書』(辺見じゅん・著)。

シベリア強制収容所に、捕虜として抑留された山本幡男一等兵。妻やまだ幼い4人の子供とは離れ離れになったまま、消息もつかめない。

栄養失調や過酷な労働作業で命を落とす者、自ら命を断つ者が出るなか、常に帰国する日を待ち、人間としての尊厳、生きる希望を持ち続けた山本。彼の言葉や行動は、徐々に捕虜たちの気持ちを変えていく――。

絶望の状況において、収容所のひとすじの希望の光でありつづけた山本幡男を二宮和也が、夫の帰国を心から信じ11年間待ちつづけた妻モジミを北川景子が演じ、大きな話題となった。ほか、捕虜仲間として松坂桃李、中島健人、桐谷健太、安田顕が出演。また山本の長男・顕一役を、ドラマ『収容所から来た遺書』(1993)で山本幡男を演じた寺尾聡が演じた。

メガホンをとったのは『8年越しの花嫁 奇跡の実話』『64₋ロクヨン‐ 前編/後編』の瀬々敬久監督、脚本は『永遠の0』『糸』の林民夫。

涙なくしては読み進めることができない、驚きと感動で心が震わされる、究極の愛の実話。

i’ve never cried more reading a book (including both english and japanese books)

i only recommend reading this at home because YOU WILL ugly cry

despite the book being really sad i feel like this was an important book i had to read at one point so take a look at this if you need a japanese book to read over the summer (bc yaegashi sensei tells us to lmao)
it’s not too long length wise and kanji is definitely manageable to keep up with to understand the content.
