Explore the intricate web of international relations and global power dynamics through the lens of one of the most iconic diplomatic minds of the 20th century. Diplomacy by Henry Kissinger — now available in an expertly translated Urdu edition by Syed Saeed Naqvi — presents a comprehensive and authoritative look at the evolution of foreign policy, war, peace, and strategy. This translation makes Kissinger's monumental work accessible to Urdu-speaking audiences, delivering deep insights into historical events, world wars, Cold War politics, and the art of negotiation between world powers. The book covers a wide range of diplomatic milestones — from the Peace of Westphalia to the rise of the United States as a superpower, the policies of Metternich, Bismarck, Churchill, Roosevelt, Nixon, and the structure of post-Cold War diplomacy. Kissinger, a former U.S. Secretary of State and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, draws from firsthand experience and historical depth to craft a narrative that is both intellectual and practical. Syed Saeed Naqvi’s Urdu translation is elegant and accurate, retaining the original tone and scholarly richness of the text while making it engaging and readable for Urdu-speaking scholars, students, and political enthusiasts. One of a kind. It is interesting both as a history book and as one of the few(if not only) books about how politics are actually conducted. For those that dislike the author, I recommend reading at least the first half of the book(until WW2). It concerns events that he was not personally involved.
