I was very impressed with Leahy’s attention to scripture. I believe he is or was a Reformed scholar writing on demonology. His attention to detail in the gospels pertaining to the work of demons was impressive even if all his observations may not be correct, they are at least thought provoking. He does kind of contradict himself by saying out of one side of his mouth that the word of God is our only source of truth, but then devoting an entire chapter to the personal experience of foreign missionaries in relation to demon possession. He lends too much weight to personal experience when it comes to this subject. But overall, it was the best book I’ve read on the subject. Read with a grain of salt.
