Ally

Rate this book
Who knew that corruption, greed, and perversion were the secret ingredients for the perfect community? The only thing that could make Mission Texas even better is self-justified killing, and Ally will happily deliver it. After freeing herself from her abusive husband, Ally is compelled to punish every perp that could fit his silhouette, or at least she could save their victims. For every abused woman, there is an “Ally” inside waiting to break free. Ally represents the dark side that manifests when an abused woman is pushed to the limits. They say that the law is an ass, and frequently unable to help those victims who so desperately need protection. Ally doesn’t need protecting; she has transformed from the hunted to the hunter. Readers will cheer Ally on even when she commits some of the most heinous crimes imaginable and will resonate with her everywoman persona.

this was a free download from amazon for me. very amateurish writing with many repetitions of the same sentence and/or phrase. the "i miss my daddy" theme was really worn out. the author can't keep ti straigh from one chapter to the next whether the doctor was male or female, her husband was Wes but for a chapter he was Will, the constant referrals to the watch - but no consistency over what to call it. did she live in a house? once it was an apartment. was it klonopin? or was it diazepam? author couldn't keep it straight whether it was day or night from one page to the next. it's not a "converse" t-shirt. it's a concert t-shirt. the author wears it out with the head injuries and the headaches. many misspelled words, including Marlboro - as in the cigarettes. of course, about two pages later, he spelled it correctly. on one page she's driving down the road with a tractor-trailer driver and he said he has a son. three pages later it's a daughter. many, many missed spaces in between words, causing them to run together. on one page it's Marlene and two pages later it's Marline. the word was supposed to be "door" but through the authors carelessness it was "store". countless typos throughout. Baklava is a pastry. not a type of hat/mask. constantly swithcing from present tense to past tense within the same sentence. then in chapter 48 author even mixed up the name of the agent (Miller) and took to calling him (and Miller is female) Simmons - the name of the bad guy. author should take enough pride in his work to hire competent copy editors and proofreaders.

Wow, I wasn't prepared for this one.
Ally is on a mission, and she is taking care of business. The subject matter of the book is not
for the faint of heart and I am impressed that the Author went for it head on, no holds barred.
It is well written and keeps going relentlessly, there isn't a moment of rest.
If you're looking for a psychological thriller based on, unfortunately, very real life events
happening in this world, go for it!

What can I say?
Authored by a man with pin point accuracy into an abused woman's psyche.
From the first paragraph, Ally becomes a living, breathing woman.
I enjoyed it from start to finish.
Definitely recommend
