This was an interesting read, but I felt that there was a more of a thorough focus on the beginning of the book than throughout the whole thing. The last few chapters felt really really rushed. I feel like the later chapters just glossed over the later history of New Mexico; while the beginning chapters of the book went into a good complete history of the state.

I enjoyed it a great deal since New Mexico is my happy place. There is a surprising amount of detail considering that it is brief, but it is a nice start.
