Georgina Corrigan is dead! It must be true. It has been printed in the newspapers. How does one prove one is not dead? Georgina is forced to seek assistance from her well-connected friends to establish that she is indeed alive and well and living in Percy Place. The accident that caused the death of her unlamented husband Captain Charles Whitmore has had other ripple effects. The death of the Earl of Castlewellan in the same accident is also changing lives and a young woman is being forced to flee all that she knows. With the death of her husband, Georgina is once more a wealthy woman. She no longer needs to open her house to strangers for money. But the BOBs, an organisation that helps women escape difficult life situations, are relying on her to continue to do just that. How can she refuse? Fortunately, her devoted friend Richard Wilson, Billy Flint and his crew, and the staunch women of her household are on hand to support her through all that life throws at her. PRAISE FOR GEMMA JACKSON’S IMPOSSIBLE DREAM ‘More spellbinding storytelling as Gemma works her magic.
Original, full of surprises, it grips from start to finish. And its new cast of characters will fascinate every bit as much as those in her previous bestselling series’ RTÉ Guide
I was delighted when I came across the third book in the Percy Place series. I can't express how much I have enjoyed the Percy series and hope that there will be a forth book to fine out what happens to Georgina and Richard and Bridget and Rebecca. It was lovely to have Granny Grunt and Ryan's livery from the Ivy Rose 🌹series included in this series of books.I hope that there will be a forth book.Thank you Gemma Jackson.
Cherish The Dream is the last of the Percy Place Series (at least to this date), so I can now move on to something else and leave Georgina in peace knowing that better days are ahead.
While this series isn't entirely well written and often requires suspension of disbelief, it does have many things which I appreciate. There is a good story, with plenty of action, characters are mostly strong women who I care about. It leave me wanting to find out what will happen to them. I love the setting of Dublin in 1899 with possibilities just beginning to open for women with vision.
Another wonderful book from Gemma Jackson. I'm a fan of her writing, she is a true storyteller. The Ladies of Percy Place have challenges, from enough money, to protecting the women who come to hide. This 3 rd book in the series will not disappoint. Enjoy!
I simply love this author! I'm not going to give you any insight, but know this: while reading chapter e, I panicked, thinking this was the last book. I was relieved to find this author has written much, much more.
Fair warning: there are errors and the books end abruptly.
I enjoyed this book series by Gemma Jackson so much. No sex, no romance - well, a little bit but not until later. It was enjoyable to see how Georgina overcomes her circumstances and become independent and helping other women in the same situation to earn a living. I was said the 3rd book was over, but I assume book 4 is on its way sometime in the foreseeable future.
This series is well written and very interesting. The author gives the reader a glimpse of the wealthy lifestyle, the mid wealthy lifestyle and the poor lifestyle. The character development is excellent and the stories within the story are excellent. It is very much worth reading.
The third in the Percey Place series, each successive volume becomes more repetitive with so little character development. It's not very well written and the adjectives the author uses are the same over and over. The premise of the story is a good one, but the execution of this series leaves me bored and slightly confused with the large number of characters that aren't well developed.
I have loved Every book I have read by Gemma Jackson and this was as good as the others. I hope and pray there is another one soon. You can't help but become involved with the characters lives. I love how some of the people are from the Ivy Rose series.
I really enjoyed this book and hope there is another in the series soon. I’ve enjoyed all the books in the series, but had to read number two over since it had been so long between books, I couldn’t remember all of the characters.
