Green Day Revealed

Rate this book
Formed in 1987, Green Day helped to revive mainstream interest in punk rock with 1994's major-label debut Dookie, which to date has sold over 16 million copies worldwide. Following on from the successful Revealed titles on the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Beatles and The Who, this new, glossy, visually stimulating coffee-table book is organized chronologically and covers all the major events in Green Day's still vibrant career, accompanied by revealing and evocative images of the band -from the early days to American Idiot's appearance on Broadway.

The images were great, but it felt a bit dry. More like a calendar than a progression of the band. No real revelations about the members were presented. All told, it was fun read, but not much more. Again, the choice of images was fantastic - they reveal more about the band i think than the text does.
