I'm excited that after all this time, I have FINALLY read this first volume! (I've only wanted to read it for a couple of years now… LOL!)
I admit I'm not giving this volume a full five stars because I really struggled comparing it to the anime, which I realize is totally a me problem, but I found a few places to be a little more word-heavy than I expected. (Though the anime is an extremely faithful adaptation, so no worries there in comparison!)
HOWEVER!
Those action scenes where we see Scarlet kicking butt and having the most epic of expressions, that was AWESOME! The way they were drawn is so unlike what I've seen in the majority of shoujo manga that I felt I had shivers from the excitement of seeing such intensity when she's fighting! It was pretty scary and pretty cool at the same time! LOL!
Speaking of her, I find Scarlett to be a fascinating heroine to follow, and I think a large reason for that is because I have zero reliability to her. LOL! I cannot in any way relate to wanting to beat people up or letting my anger build for ten years because of how wrongfully I was treated. How Scarlet did either is beyond me, but she sure is fun to read about! LOL!
I usually don't quite know what to expect from her, and the same could be said of Prince Julius. He is definitely as quirky as Scarlet is (even if she would probably say that's not true LOL)! I found he really brought some fun to the page and would often laugh out loud because of his antics. The way he teases Scarlett is quite delightful, if I'm honest! LOL!
The potential worldbuilding that had me excited in the anime definitely gives glimpses of that happening here in the manga, with even what seems to be a dragon at one point?! WHAT?! I was NOT expecting that, and now I'm even more excited for the next volume because the first two anime episodes only went this far!
I eagerly look forward to seeing what Scarlet will do next!
(FYI: There is a nude young man in one chapter. While you don't see anything (front or back) as the panels were "cut off" and/or had conveniently placed speech bubbles, I still wanted to give a heads up!)

uwaa Scarlet is soo pretty! I enjoy how she pummels everything and gives no shit
I pity Prince Kyle for being the way he is but oh well
for now, I don't really see any romance, Scarlet seems to be the type of character that doesn't suit romance, I can't see Scarlet and Prince Julius being a couple going the way it is now, they'd fit better as just friends lol

On the one hand, I appreciate the twist on the villainess story. On the other, she's too bloodthirsty for me.

it's a fun one but more of a darker plot that I remember. Always satisfying to see everyone getting punched. She endured a lot. Fave character was Nanaka, having to put up with punch happy and the two faced prince. Felt sorry for the brother but his reactions are funny.

Absolutely hilarious 😂
The concept and the delivery is hilarious! You have a character that has been repressing herself for 10 years suddenly unable to hold back anymore. It almost feels like mentally she stopped aging and has been so busy focusing on not exploding.
Very cute story so far, not much going on and it's very fast paced but the interactions are pretty funny.

Ugh, why this keeps happening to me?
Beginning was a refreshing start to a very common story line but then we get to know the characters a bit more and... 8 chapters in and I'm out.
No thank you. No more chances for you.
Why must there, in every decent female MC story, be a male character that is better than the MC, and bullies her as well?

Cette lecture a été plus que jouissive ! Quand une jeune femme fiancée à un prince imbuvable (et un peu niais sur les bords) se retrouve humiliée lors d’un bal qu’il donne. Libérée de ses engagements envers cet homme, Scarlett va enfin pouvoir se lâcher et montrer qui elle est vraiment ! Elle n’hésite donc pas à donner des coups de poing à cette assemblée de personnes corrompues. Elle a une sacrée droite d’ailleurs.
Ce début de manga est un pur délire que j’ai adoré découvrir ! En plus, le graphisme est vraiment sympa ce qui ne gâche rien.
J’ai apprécié le caractère fort et inébranlable de l’héroïne ainsi que son entourage qui essaie de canaliser sa force et ses envies de bagarres. Si elle a de vrais alliés, Scarlett a aussi pas mal d’ennemis à son actif, et qui souhaitent la tuer ou la voir tomber. Voilà un personnage hors norme et qui détonne dans un univers de fantasy historique. Je suis vraiment curieuse de découvrir la suite et voir ce que cette histoire va donner.
Dans l’ensemble, voilà un nouveau titre 100 % sans prise de tête avec ce qu’il faut d’adrénaline, de baston et de moments presque WTF pour nous tenir en haleine. De mon côté, la sauce a bien pris.
Si l’intrigue reste très simple et survolée, j’ai lu ce premier tome avec intérêt pour cette héroïne sacrément badass.

contrary to what everyone's saying, i love how she just punches everything away lmao-
(edit: it gets a bit boring waiting for monthly updates and just seeing her punch things without much context so i switched this to a 3 stars lol)
also, i forgot which volume it was so i'm just gonna put it here: i am just an absolute simp for her teacher that only appeared for a while and wasn't even in enough pages to be counted as a chapter,, but i digress. he's my fav among all the guys that's showed up now for sure
fl is prettiest baby ever and ml looks nice ig. tho i still think the teacher was hotter (just a small note btw but i am not shipping fl and her teacher bcs the two met when fl was a kid and tchr was already a full-grown man back then, soo-)
in conclusion, the one thing you can get from my review is: fl's previous teacher is hot. that's all.

C'était une lecture très drôle et complètement décalé ! Alors oui, je m'en doutais déjà au vu du résumé. Mais pour autant il y a également un univers construit et des intrigues politique donnant plus de profondeur au manga.

Just watch the episodes currently out for the anime and knew I had to start reading the manga.
We get a female protagonist who has been bullied by her princely fiancé for years and now he wants to annul the engagement? Good but those wasted years have been fuelling Scarlet with so much pent up anger she asks for one final favour: to beat the hell out of everyone in the room.
All these nobles are admitting their illegal deeds. Bartering slaves to other nobles for their protection. Scarlet may have taken down this room of corrupt nobles but this is just the beginning of her political clean up.
Not to mention her ex fiancé’s brother, the first prince, has shown an interest in her. Her fighting at least.
Really love this manga so far, gotta keep going!

Scarlet is here to thrash scum and chew bubblegum, and she is all outta bubblegum. The is something rotten in Denm- I mean- Palistan, and Scarlet means to punch her way to the bottom of it.
This is NOT your average villainess shoujo romance (not that I have a problem with those). This is shounen-style action comedy, and has more in common with One Punch Man than with Common Sense of the Duke's Daughter. Even stylistically, this is an artist that likes their speed lines and impact craters more than their "shalala" moments. Go in with that in mind and you'll probably enjoy it.

Now, I'm sure the idea of a rebel aristocrat after being rejected by her awful fiancé for an equally, if not more awful, villainess in disguise is nothing really we haven't seen, but when I literally tell you with all the pun intended, this series packs a punch right off the bat, I'm not kidding. Our main FMC has such an interesting self-awareness about her abilities, let's call them, and just her overall general attitude given the world she's in, without being reincarnated or anything like plotlines you may have read before. The art is gorgeous, and this is just a really fun, action-packed read that I can't wait to continue.

It’s been a while since I’ve read manga however this was a fun read! I felt like the characters were introduced orderly, and the pacing definitely set up the story in a straightforward manner. The funny moments didn’t dilute the atmosphere too much and I love how Scarlet as a FMC feels like a One Punch Man/Gojo Satoru hybrid (in a good way!)

I absolutely love this manga. I wish there was someone that did this to corrupt and overall stupid people. I find that you can't go wrong with an intelligent, strong female lead. Adding the prince as comical relief and a romance interest is a nice addition too. I personally love her new beastmen butler. He is so cute.

Or a Reacher in a beautiful dress. Interesting thought. Scarlet is beautiful. Yet she prefers to communicate her true feelings with her fists. She fights and kicks ass. She doesn't really care about her reputation, as she is famous for being a mad dog of a lady.
She is also blessed with magical power. She could fight with magic when her physical strength is not enough to win a fight.
She has a signature move. As she is a woman, her hands should be kept smooth. She wears gloves to protect her hands during fights. It is how one person stood up to those misogynists around her. She was raised as a bride child engaged to a young prince. He betrayed her and called off the engagement, and shows off his new young bride. This is done to humiliate her in public.
Her reaction to this humiliation is that she is now free to do what she wants.
"May I ask for one final thing?" is the opening line.
She wants to punch the woman, the prince and anyone who participates in humiliating her in public.
This is more about fighting, magic and politics. The romance part is very subtle and a small part only.

I absolutely love this violent duke's daughter!! After years of abuse by an idiot prince, our girl finally gets to cut loose and release her fists. Then she somehow gets dragged into rooting out the corruption plaging her country. Let the girl rest!

A not so bad series starter. It starts how I would expect this kind of manga to start with a European setting then veers off course. While I did have fun reading it, I am not sure I am up for it at the moment. I will probably come back to it later.

I caught a glimpse of the anime and just had to check out the story. It's fun and silly, but has a cool side to it all rolled together. Scarlet doesn't just want to beat up the fat piggies in the name of justice; she enjoys hearing them squeal.
