The night of the Big Bug Ball is ablaze with music, dancing, fun, and excitement, but one small sowbug is too shy to dance, in a vibrant and rollicking picture book.
Only one of the best read-aloud books EVER! I think I must have read this book thousands of times to my son - and I honestly enjoyed every time. It has a fantastic rhythm and I tend to read it with a southern accent which just seems to fit. The pictures are so interesting my son sits and looks and looks and looks at them. I cannot recommend this one highly enough!
All the bugs are going to the ball, but Sow Bug is worried because he can’t dance. But she goes anyway and enjoys all the sights and sounds and discovers that she can dance.
This book is about bugs that are holding a ball. Everyone is really excited about attending the ball except one little bug. He is shy and does not have a dancing partner. The book has great colorful pictures and great rhyming words. This book would be great for introducing bugs and insects in their environments.
A cute rhyme about a ball where everyone is invited. The young sowbug fears she doesn't know how to dance and the grasshopper encourages her. I loved the illustrations, they are detailed without being overwhelming.
The insects are putting on a big ball! All the bugs are invited, but the little sow bug (roly-poly) doesn't know how to dance. In the end she learns she can dance.
This book looked cute, but you know what they say about judging a book by its cover... The illustrations were ok, but the story itself had some weak rhymes, and the story wasn't all that great.
