A bland story of the BIG red dog, Clifford, helping Emily Elizabeth trying to find something special for show-and-tell.
What could she possibly own that would be BIG enough to stand out?
Hmmm. It's a stumper . . .
FOR REFERENCE:
Adapted by Teddy Margulies and illustrator Steve Haefele from the television script "My Best Friend" by Sindy McKay [mistakenly attributed on the book's title page as "Best Friends" by Lois Becker and Mark Stratton] for the Clifford the Big Red Dog PBS Kids animated series, Season 1, Episode 1, September 4, 2000.
Emily Elizabeth didn't know what to bring for show-and-tell. She searched high and low, but couldn't decide on the perfect object, Finally, she decides to bring her large dog, Clifford. Indeed, he is very unique and worthy of being recognized.
This is the story about Clifford and Emily Elizabeth on show and tell day. It's a gentle story about the hunt for something special to share. We have had many such hunts for special items for school show and tell time so this story made a lot of sense. It has a nice moral as well about finding someone special instead of something.
In this Clifford adventour.... Clifford tries to help Emily Elizabeth find something special to take for show and tell at school. They spend all day playing searching and just having fun but they couldn't find anything...or so Emily Elizabeth THOUGHT!.... Talking with Charlie made her realize she had something special with her the entire time...
