It's a small book that contains quotes and sayings of the Native American Indians (specifically the Navajo of North America, if I'm not mistaken) related to teachings, morals and observations of everything that surrounds us, it still has its relevance in the era that we live.
This book is an excellent gift for ending a year. It would also make a good beginning book for the new year, so I will probably read it again in January. Each page is full of words of wisdom. The photos complement the words. One example from the Hopi: "Take the breath of the new dawn and make it part of you. It will give you strength," Take that thought on your morning walk... Love pours through this book as smoothly as water from a pitcher -- love of nature, love of each other, and love of the Great Spirit. I feel so lucky to have this book; it is a keeper.
This is a thoughtful collection of the celebration of nature, peace, and life itself. The book contains valuable reflections from those of the Sioux, Hopi, Onondaga, Blackfeet, Seminole, and other First Nations people.
In Beauty May I Walk...Words of Wisdom by Native Americans by Editor, Helen Exley is a beautiful compilation of writings of different Indian tribes. Indian wisdom, spiritual growth, and writings to use for meditations.
This gift book is an ode to nature. Full of wise quotes about nature and its relationship with people (namely native Americans), this is a book that’ll make you embrace Mother Nature.
