Brad Vaughn is a wealthy son of a man who owns a private investigation firm and he's come home to work for his father. He's always liked his secretary, Emily, because she has a good, sensible head on her shoulders. But quite suddenly, they look at each other and the chemistry begins to buzz between them. Then they go to Thunder Canyon, Montana for a case and get trapped in a cabin together and the chemistry explodes. But things get awkward afterwards, as Emily and Brad have different goals and both are wary of relationships given their past.
This was just an okay story. Honestly, it felt like there was a bit too much going on. There was the romance, Brad's distrust of women, the missing person's case, finding the deed to the gold mine and the cabin. This was a complicated storyline that I periodically lost interest in. Although the story is titled "Cabin Fever" so little of this story had anything to do with the cabin. That particular episode was over at the 50% mark and then it was dealing with the aftermath. But I generally liked the characters (although Emily was a bit of a saint) and there was a nice little bit of angst in here.

This is your typical category romance. Boss falls for his sevretary in this one while on a business trip. I especially liked the ending. Karen is very talented, but I much prefer her newer work with her romantic suspenses.
A nice, easy read with a well timed story line. I did not feel that the couple's romance was forced or rushed as I had in recent reads. I especially love the ending, which I am not going to spoil. So, if you want to know the ending, grab a copy, some cocoa, and read on.
