A nice enough book, but as it states on cover it is for novices to the business industry or Airbnb in particular and from an US point of view. Unfortunately for me it felt like nothing new in the details other than all its common sense and details are all combined into one book. I didn't personally find anything different, new or unexpected but more practical and kinda obvious understanding of anyone starting on any kind of project.
Some of the tips, particularly in relation to taxes and legality relate to US set up so that might be an added bonus to someone. The little summary highlights at the end of each chapter could be transferred into an information sheet and suffice for a rough guide to begin. A pleasant enough read and easy to follow but nothing new or unexpected stood out that was different for me. If you have no knowledge of business or this is your first ever project then it may be helpful and good guidelines to help you access whether Airbnb is the way to go for you or not before you invest too heavily from scratch.

A must-read if you're considering this business
I liked the book for several reasons. It answers many questions that new airbnb owners should ask themselves. What's more, it asks many questions for them that beginners might have forgotten to ask, but thanks to the book, they are now much more informed about the business. The writing is really very detailed and professional, but at the same time you can feel the human side, the intention to help and the support. From planning to costs, from finding the right property to making the place guest-friendly, everything is involved to help an enterprising individual become successful in this field. These are also in this book. I recommend it to everyone who is just starting this activity, but it can also be a fun read for others, even for outsiders, the book may make them want to enter the world of airbnb.

This is an incredibly helpful book for anyone interested in one of the most lucrative gateway business of short term rentals.
The author’s background is a benefit. Real estate is not Airbnb and Airbnb is not Real Estate. Very insightful. The book covers so much. There is budgeting, finding properties and locations to become the highly sought after title of Superhost. The step-by-step guide is helpful and provides a real opportunity for anyone interested in standing out from the competition. This is a perfect book for beginners. There are action steps at the end of each chapter and they help create a roadmap for success. This is a great book if someone wants to tap into the trillion dollar short-term rental market.

Helpful and Thorough Beginner’s Guide
I found this guide to be surprisingly comprehensive for a beginner’s guide. There is great information about what to look into and set up externally for your AirBNB business but also a lot of helpful goal setting and mindset tips for yourself internally to create a successful business overall. I found the recommended tools and resources listed in this guide to truly help get me started without having to do all of the research myself and there was plenty of guidance on how to use the resources so you aren’t stumbling through those processes too. Very useful!

Contains a lot of good information!
Was a quick read that contained a lot of helpful suggestions and information about getting started with short-term rentals. It touched on the broad information that is more common sense as well as suggesting specific sites, apps, etc that can help you with different aspects throughout your journey as a host. Excited to put these items to the test!

A straightforward, no fluff guide for beginners
I was mostly worried about whether the cost would actually make sense compared to the profit. The sections on business basics and budgeting were super helpful. This book doesn’t just sell a dream. From making the plan to posting and using the Airbnb app, and everything in between, this book reminds the reader to ask all the hard questions first. Finding out what your goals are and if they’re realistic is a big part of starting any business, this business is no different. Great resource for those making this type of investment or considering it.

very pragmatic book
This book covers not only the obvious things like how to find a property and how to make it 'guest-ready', it's also very down to earth about the pros and cons of a bricks and mortar business, to ensure you go in with your eyes open. It also covers growing the business by listing on other platforms. A great resource for anyone (like me) looking to diversify.

I found this short term rental book helpful and very well written. I'm about to embark on my short term first rental property and there was a ton of useful information in this book. The little anecdotes were very helpful. I especially liked the chapter on the cleaning and how important it is to build out your team.

Awesome guide for beginners.
The author has created a well-written easy-to-follow introduction for starting your own Airbnb. I felt very optimistic after reading this book and now believe it's possible to open my own Airbnb. I would recommend this book to others.
