Excelente libro en cuanto los diferentes estudios que se han hecho de liderazgo. Aborda mucho de todo lo cual ayuda a entender mejor el liderazgo en toda su complejidad.
Required reading for one of my EdD classes this semester. Well organized and very easy to read. It’s rare to find a textbook that’s actually enjoyable like this one!
Looking at the biological bases of leadership, the book reminds readers of the evolutionary nature of leadership. By “nature” the book editors mean the defining characteristics of leadership such as “integrity, vulnerability, discernment, awareness of the human spirit, courage in relationships, sense of humor, intellectual energy and curiosity, respect of the future, regard for the present, understanding of the past, predictability, breadth, comfort with ambiguity, and presence.” The Nature of Leadership teaches us that leadership involves multiple levels of phenomena, enjoys a dynamic character, and possesses a symbolic component.
This must contain the most comprehensive collection of leadership study ever collected. Although many chapters read academically, the content is superb.
