Will the smoldering touch of a stranger be enough to keep her safe? Victoria Valentino is officially dead. After walking in on her fiancé’s horrifying involvement with the Mob, she’s placed in the Witness Protection Program and shipped six hundred miles away to the forsaken town of Forrester Rock. Alone and afraid, Tori meets Walker Garrison, a drifter with a secret past of his own. Tori discovers herself uncontrollably drawn to this man, his cabin and his bed. But can she trust him? The trouble is, someone in Forrester Rock already knows who she really is… This book has been previously published and has been revised from its original release.
Victoria witnesses her fiancé committing a crime and finds herself in Witness Protection, far away from her home. Actually about a 3.5 for me. I liked the story but I felt it was lacking in certain details that would have helped alot in understanding where the plot was taking you. It felt incomplete at the end for me.
This is the 3rd book I read by Amy Mistretta. This book's story line was okay. I liked the love scenes in this story. I liked Walker's character. I liked how Walker looked out for Tori. I liked Tori's character. I thought Tori was very strong & brave for what she went through. I liked the ending.
