Arnold Stark Lobel was a popular American author of children's books. Among his most popular books are those of the Frog and Toad series, and Mouse Soup, which won the Garden State Children's Book Award from the New Jersey Library Association.
Very impressed by the craftsmanship of this book! Almost all the pop ups have moving parts, very cool. Didn’t like the part where the snake, the group of lizards, two dragonflies and the field mouse made fun of toad for his swim suit. Felt as though that was quite harsh, I thought the green, red and yellow stripes were quite fashionable. Regardless I appreciate their efforts to fly the kite during the last 4 pages and the last page pop up is a bit of a show stopper. A good 5 stars.
Pop-up book about the adventures of Frog and Toad. This book contains three chapters called The Garden, A Swim, and The Kite. Each chapter includes movable pieces. Great for young kids during the spring or summer.
