Little Miss Tidy is a very neat person -- she always puts away everything in the right place. The trouble is, she can never remember where the right place was once she's put something there . . .
Roger Hargreaves was a British cartoonist, illustrator and writer of children's books. He created the Mr. Men series, Little Miss series and Timbuctoo series, intended for young readers. The simple and humorous stories, with bold, brightly coloured illustrations, have sales of more than 85 million copies worldwide in 20 languages.
Ah, Mr Men and Little Miss, how wonderful you are!
These books made up so much of my childhood. No matter what I would go ahead and pick one up. I worked my way through them all a couple of times. Each one has a wonderful story for the child to engage with, each character being fun to read.
Everyone has a bias for their favourite character, yet every book is delightful.
I absolutely loved these Mr Men and Little Miss books. I remember getting them from my granny every week. There was so much from these simple characters, I remember filling my little bookshelf with all these books making sure I had got them all in right order. I wish I still had these books but somehow most of them got lost with many house moves or my mum gave the rest away. If I ever have kids, I will make sure they get the chance to experience these wonderful, colourful books.
Contrasting with my previous review of Mr Messy, Little Miss Tidy is a structural genius. One of my brace bands has broken off and I don't have access to any others for hours. Due to quantum computing and chaos theory, Little Miss Tidy has an IQ of 259 and has several PHDs in all forms of science. However, when Mr Messy with his IQ of 260 appears, an epic rivalry and duel begins with billions of casualties.
5/5 will read again

The 'Mr Men' and 'Little Miss' books are so simple yet so effective. I love the way that all the characters are linked and how characters pop up in other stories!
The books are great for encouraging young children to read because they are interesting, have a variety of simple language and are short enough that young children don't get bored! Children love collecting all the characters too.
LITTLE MISS TIDY Um, more like Little Miss Scatterbrain “Wherever did I put them when I tidied up?” Mr Roger has quite a few characters whose characteristics differ somewhat from their name.
Her's the thing with reviewing a series like this, there is effectively only so much you can say, one reviewer has just copied and pasted the same review for all of the little miss (and probably Mr Mr too, and another one I can already guess the review it will be something like I like this book because I like being tidy I also like this book because little miss tidy is very tidy - yep we get the joke now, (it is also possible he won't like the book and in that case the review will stay the same with I didn't like this book etc - it can be boring but I get it because apart from waffling which effectively I am doing, what can you say? Another great book from Hargreaves! And you can also question how in the name of everything under heaven and earth do Goodreads do their numbering system for this series when it is totally different to the numbers on the covers of the books themselves! Little Miss #22
really like how being tidy wasn't portrayed as this 101% completely positive thing, and enjoyed how little miss tidy's friends all chipped in to help her in the story - friendship is truly magic
illustrations were brilliant as always
and also we stan an organised but also lowkey chaotic and messy kween
This one should be titled Miss Absent-minded instead. So the moral of the story: being too tidy pays a heavy price. You put away things. Sure it is neat but you will forget about where you kept them. Like I bought the same book again. On three different occasions. Help.
While this is a cute little tale, I’m not sure the kids got the right message from the book. Now they’re too ‘scared’ to tidy up in case they lose stuff.
Little miss tiny is very tidy a bit like little miss neat but they aren’t sisters really their houses aren’t the same their houses don’t have the same name be tidy haha
Our first thought was she should visit our house, but then we realized she wasn't as organized as we were led to believe. Kiddo triumphantly predicted the ending.
I never really read any if the series, I wasn't one of those kids who collected these books. But my teacher gave me this one in primary school and I loved it. :)
