Renee Thomas wakes up one Monday morning longing for change. For years she's been a faithful wife, supportive mother, and successful hotel executive, but recent events have taken her over the edge. ?After thirty-five years of marriage, she has learned that her husband, Jerome, fathered a child with another woman. Before Renee can fully accept what happened, Jerome hints that his 16-year-old love child wants to live with them. In addition to her troubles at home, a power struggle with a new executive threatens her job security, and a longtime friend confesses his undying love. Afraid she's heading for a breakdown, Renee desperately struggles to get a handle on her life. ?On that same day, Jerome Thomas wakes up thanking God. Renee was his high school sweetheart, and though he's given her plenty of reasons to end the marriage--bouts with alcohol, a long-term affair, and conceiving a child out of wedlock--she fought for their love. Knowing he doesn't deserve Renee or the life God has given him, Jerome plans a special romantic weekend for his wife, unaware that his marriage is on the brink of divorce. ?As Renee and Jerome struggle through a turning point in their lives, an unfortunate accident ends the life of a loved one. Now faced with their toughest challenge, will Renee and Jerome give up on God and the life they built together, or will they firmly stand on God's promises and trust in the plans He has for their future?
I don't usually write reviews but this book disgusted me so much I felt I needed to.
SPOILERS....
The H, who was a major zero in my opinion, didn't get held accountable for any of his actions. The Zero sticks up for his assistant, who was bad mouthing the h during her son's funeral!!!!! And then has the absolute gall to tell the h not to air their dirty laundry to everyone that attended the funeral after the ow, mother to Zero's daughter and result of an affair during his marriage to the h, tells the h she isn't acting godly or something to that effect! Then the Zero goes on to apologise to his assistant for the way the h acted towards her! The Zero was made to look the victim while the h was made to look the bad guy in this story when EVERYTHING that could've and did go wrong, happened to the h. What an absolute joke!

I love this book. This book brought bqck memories in a relationship I was in. I feel so bad for Renee. There is no excuse for infidelity. This is the kind of paim I don't wish on any woman. And w/all the STD's that are present,Jerome should've used better judgment. And the woman who he has had an affair with just acts like it's nothing. Women like that eventually get what they deserve. It's a good read. Keep up the good work.
What an amazing tale from the highest highs and the lowest lows. It is an incredible autobiography by my friend Steve Hirst, and USAF Academy Grad who became a top fighter pilot.. Until that patch of black ice. Read the book and understand the obstacles over come to write and print this. Also remember Blaster had family who has accompanied him through this journey.
