This is the book of Psalms, called Tehillim in Hebrew. I bought this version because it pretty much followed the format of both the Stone Edition Chumash and the Stone Edition Tanach, with Hebrew on the left hand page, English translation on the right and English commentary at the bottom of both. I wanted to stay away from an interlinear version, which most of the other editions were. Fortunately I was able to use this in my Gospel Doctrine study of the Old Testament a couple of years ago. Again, being able to read these passages in Hebrew increased my understanding considerably. I really enjoyed it.
Although I will never be finished reading this wonderful and wonder filling work, for the moment I am taking it off of my self of reading because I am done with the comparison I was working on from on of the prayers in the Conservative/Masorti movement siddur Sim Shalom for weekdays (Rosh Chodesh).
Meaningful book of Psalms from King David. This is read monthly in honor of the upcoming new lunar month on the Jewish calendar. Entire book recited once a month in blessing the new moon on the Lunar calendar. Written by King David.
