What I liked best about Miss Stonecipher's book was her one-liners. Every so often, a line would come out through the poem and it would be just stellar! She has such a careful eye for detail at times, and she uses this to create impressive expressions of language. The latter poems were my favorite, notably: "The Chase", "Magnet", "The Forest", and "Wave". Occasionally, she can be very abstract, somewhat like Ashbery or Gizzi, and this draws the reading into boredom. However, this collection is one that I would buy to have on my shelf, and I wouldn't might reading another.
