🤔🧐🤯MY THOUGHTS:🤯🧐🤔

This series was so sweet and I love the folklore from both Brazilian Shaman and the Navajo Tribe and the elders of course. The love story between Daire and Dace is sweet as well as Lita’s and Axel’s love and Xotichl’s and Auden’s.

The thing I’m having trouble with is the fact that these are 16 year old kids with 0 to almost no adult supervision. Especially at the end of the book!

I mean I guess when you consider all that the 6 of them accomplished and them saving the world, maybe they don’t need adult supervision. I just have a hard time believing that these kids are not only still in high school but they’re working and making a living and cohabitating with their significant other. We don’t even really know that the other kids have parents other than Auden mentioning that he wanted to be successful so that Xotichl’s mom would approve of him. It just blows my mind 🤯.

Regardless of some major flaws the story and concept is great. The characters are extremely likable with a few exceptions (Richters). The world building was excellent. I was entertained and enjoyed this series. Other than the one missing element, anyway. I do like Alyson Noel as a writer even if this my third series by her that seems to lack involved parents. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I wasn’t a helicopter parent and I didn’t have helicopter parents but I did interact with them daily especially while I was still under the age of 18. That’s all I’m saying. 😅

*My Thoughts*

"Sometimes you must venture into the dark to bring forth the light."

Horizon, the supposed final installment in The Soul Seekers series, picks up SIX months after the ending of Mystic and is a story that tests Noel's characters love, faith, and friendships in many different ways. For Seeker Daire Santos, it has been SIX months since her Grandmother, Paloma, was killed by Cade Richter and she still hasn't been able to move on with her life.

The Richter's are continually on her mind, and revenge is what she desires the most even though they have been keeping a low profile and keeping a pretty big secret away from Daire's prying eyes. In the time since the Richter's were supposedly killed, Daire started intensive training and learning more about her heritage of being a Seeker so that the next time she faces Cade, Gabe, and Leandro, she won't screw up as the so called prophecy has foretold.

For Daire and Dace, their relationship has moved from the back page, to the front page and it's interesting to see how far Noel pushes the sexual interludes between two SIXTEEN year olds. Dace is dealing with the fact that he carries part of Cade's darkness inside of him which makes him question is own actions in taking down the Richter's for good. Can he actually take down his own family, or will he become one of the Coyote's and thwart Daire's desire for revenge? Dace's story pretty much takes center stage because of his inner darkness and his own actions that you will have to judge on their own merits and not just take my word for what happens.

There are other POV's like Xotichl who regained the use of her eyes, and is in a pretty amazing relationship with Auden. There is also Lita Winslow who has been fawning over Axel ever since he lost his Mystic status and attempted to become human. I would say that these couples screw like rabbits, but that wouldn't be fair to the rabbits.

Now to the meat & potatoes of the review. There is absolutely no freaking way that can you end a series with a cliffhanger like the one Noel leaves for readers. It is like having waving a handful of cat treats in front of your cat, and then yelling PSYCHE! I'm calling for a penalty on the author for roughing the reader, sacking our hopes & dreams, and excessive overplay by not tying up all loose ends.

The ending is absolutely horrible which is why my overall rating for this book dropped lower than what I intended it to be. When you claim that this will be the last story, and you send Daire and friends against the Richter's in a final battle royal, then leave it as it is. You don't get to say oh wait, but perhaps maybe I'll just leave a few kernels of terror for the readers to ponder while they sit there stunned and moaning and groaning about wanting to toss the book into a vat of hot gasoline and lighting it on fire knowing that we will never see these characters again. How utterly rude and wrong Ms Noel!

In conclusion, I'm glad that I didn't pay money for this book! I am happy to see that Daire embraces her destiny and heritage and gets a peek at her future. I'm not happy that once again Daire once again rushed head first into a dangerous situation and got played like a violin. I'm glad that Xotichl once again seemed to be the only character with her head in the right place and made an improbable and unselfish decision after all was said and done. I'm happy to see that Daire's mom Jennita showed up to support her daughter and kickass in the process.

The final book in the Soul Seekers Series, Horizon by Alyson Noel starts out slower, almost like a respite from the previous action, but a tense waiting game is fraying nerves, testing the faith and friendship of Daire and her allies. Tormented by nightmares six months after Cade has disappeared and Daire’s grandmother has passed on, Daire fears she is missing something. Her dreams are changing. Does this mean the final battle is coming soon? Will Dace and Daire survive or will fate steal away their time together? The darkness in Dace is growing and he has seen what he is destined to become-the enemy, far greater than any threat Cade could possess. As those final moments in the battle of good against evil arrive, it isn’t Cade that Daire fears. Will her heart be the last sacrifice? The darkness is growing…allies will die.

This final installment of the Soul Seekers Series is signature Alyson Noel, dark, edgy and foreboding. The growth in her characters is as phenomenal as their diversity. Again the surprising dark twists and brief moments of joy and love shared by some of the characters keep the story real. I could feel how they were taking what life had to offer making the most of whatever the present would give them. Hard to imagine this is the end to a series I’ve grown close to!

Great finish, great emotional pull, great character-driven moments!

You have no idea how happy I am that I'm done! (To get an idea, refer to my reviews of books 1 Fated, 2 Echo, and 3 Mystick.)

My biggest issue now that my brain is almost functioning: Noel is a teller, not a shower. Classic novel-writing mistake. The whole book, Dace is all, "My darkness is going to consume me, it's foretold, I'm already having difficulty controlling the beast inside me." And I'm all, "What are you talking about, you melodramatic fool!?" This is also why I hated the romance between Dace and Daire so much. They're all, "We're so in love!" And I'm all, "Prove it." And they get all, "Our lips swell* towards each other at the merest glance!" And I'm all, "Gag me."

I would have liked to know that everyone was on summer vacation when this happened, 'cause the first half of the book, I was all, "What happened to school?" And while I'm at it, what happened to Lita's parents? 'Cause the whole book, she's spending all her time at Daire's so she and Axel can make it like rabbits, and never once does her mom or dad get all, "You will be home by curfew, young lady!" Apparently Lita's an orphan? 'Cause her parents are never mentioned.

*And can I just say how freaky it is to think of someone's lips "swelling" toward another's? Ew. Yet Noel really likes this choice of description. The same way she likes "kaleidoscope eyes" and grins that "widen cheeks." And no, the ending I had hypothesized is not the ending Noel used. I'd call this my surprised face, but that would be a lie. Maybe I should write a book with my ending. You would read that, right? HAhahahahahaaa!

I'm done. Before I get any loonier…

Somewhere along the way, I just lost interest in this series. Seriously, I kind of just wanted the baddies to win already and put me out of my misery. Daire was exceptionally annoying, and Dace was Dace. Still don't like him.

I think four books was way too long for this series. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad, except that the beginning of this book was all about who has sex with whom, and a heroine who -understandably- is just kind of hiding from her loss and very pathetic -not so understanding. After that...well...I just couldn't care anymore.

Horizon is the fourth and final book in the Soul Seekers series by Alyson Noel. I have totally enjoyed reading the YA paranormal novels, set in a small town called Enchantment, apropos as the heroine Daire studies magic from her grandmother in a southwestern setting. She is in love with Dace, the good twin. Not Cade, he's the bad twin. Finally, in this novel, Daire's bloodline, the Santos', are fated by a prophecy to battle their bloodline, the Richter's, in a throw down to win control of three worlds. With the help of all of her very good friends she has made since moving to Enchantment, she will be able to save Dace from his own Beast, their connecting spirit animals and their lives. I liked the quick paced writing and the fast read. Totes loved all the fantasy, it was very imaginative and exciting and I always wanted to read the next chapter, and I always looks forward to the next book! The cover art was especially captivating. Obvs, they lived happy ever after! 📖

Horizon is the 4th and final book in the Soul Seekers series by Alyson Noel. This book starts off 6 months after Mystic ended. Daire and Dace are as in love as ever. Axel and Lita are also now a couple. Xotichl has her eyesight back and Auden is trying to make a go of his music.

Our heroine, Daire, is still grieving for her beloved Grandmother, Paloma. But, she is using this time to train. To become stronger. Things are wonderful with Dace but she just can’t let herself relax and enjoy what she has.

“Dreaming of the future is a frivolous indulgence I cannot afford. Paloma warned me from the start that Seekers are not known for their longevity - and their romantic relationships always end tragically. Shirking all thoughts of the past along with all wishes for the future, I settle into the present-the only moment I can ever truly claim for my own.”

This is truly a battle of good vs. evil. Of light vs. dark. Keep in mind, not even a year ago when we first met Daire, she had never even met her Grandmother. Had no idea of her heritage. Of what her destiny had in store for her. Of her “fated.” And now, she is bracing for the final battle. How can she defeat the Richters? They always seem to be one step ahead of her.

“There’s only one force more powerful than evil-” I blink a few times, drawing a blank on what that might be. Clearly, he’s not referring to me. No Seeker has ever successfully kept evil at bay-or at least not for very long. “Love.”

Can love truly save Dace from the beast growing stronger inside of him? Can Daire find a way to defeat the Richters for good and save the people of Enchantment? I loved this entire series. The final book was a little slower than some of the others but all things are brought to a heart stopping conclusion. I would have liked that it ended there, though. I didn’t much care for the epilogue. But, aside from that, I highly recommend this series.

“And suddenly I understand the very truth of our existence. It wasn’t just the twins who were connected-we are all connected. Each and every one of us has a role, a duty, to sustain each other and keep the world balanced.

“That’s the thing about the horizon. Every step leads you toward it, but you can never quite reach it. But, maybe that’s a good thing? Maybe its nature’s way of reminding us to never give up-to always keep striving.”

The last fight for love! The last chance to save your love! The last chance to save the world! The last chance to seal yours and your love’s fate together! The last chance to stand up against evil and fulfil your responsibility even if it costs your life and most importantly your love!
Wow! What an epic ending to the Soul Seer series! I truly loved it. The plot is fabulous and it is presented in an excellent manner. I was shell-shocked by the turn that the concept took and the path that the author chose for her characters in the end. The description of the emotional whirlwind that both Daire and Dace faces really did wonder and it bound me to the story very well. The action scenes are fabulous and the suspense of the ultimate outcome made me chomp on my recently manicured nails (ugh!!!) but let me tell you that it was worth all the time I spent on it and I just loved the ending. This story made me laugh, cry, worry and also made my heart wrench seeing our beloved hero and heroine in the state of indecision when they had to choose between love, loyalty, responsibility, blood ties, darkness and most importantly the world’s safety. A great book and I will surely recommend it to ya all and hope that you guys will love it too.
Series Review:
I enjoyed the series very much and would like to congratulate the author for the massive fan following of the series. The concept is fresh and new and the plot is perfect. Though at first I felt the story to be dragged a little but from the second installment of the series the story was back in fast-track with a huge bang on and from there on it surpassed all the levels of awesomeness. There is action, romance, mystery, suspense, dangerous evil, fight for love, betraying blood ties for love and light and so much more. I would recommend this series to ya all and hope that you’ll love it just like me.
I would like to thank the author and the publisher for giving me this opportunity of reading and reviewing this fabulous series as a part of a blog tour.

I cannot even begin to think where I need to start this review, because my mind is everywhere right now. My emotions are high and just everything in between. I do like how the book doesn’t start off right where Mystic ended, it’s good to see where everyone is and how they are currently making out their lives, before having to finish their big fight. It does start out kind of slow, but I like with where everything went because it needed to build up, and everything little thing that action or moment that happened that wasn’t slow made the story build up more and grabbed your attention wanting to know what was going to happen next.

Daire in this book is very determined to have thing go her way, she doesn’t want things to end up the way everyone believes it will because of the prophecy. I do love her character in this book, because of her determination, it shows that she isn’t going to give just because of what the codex says and that she is gonna try even harder. It really shows her true character. I’m glad with the way things went in this story with her.

Dace, omg, where things go, wow. It was very hard to read certain moments in this book in regards to him, because of what he is facing. I really wasn’t sure which way this book was going to go dealing with him. I literally probably had a couple of different moments where I felt like I was about to die because it was just so heart stopping.

Of course in any last book you want to see things end up the way you want, I will not say how this book ends, but I will say that this book was absolutely amazing and I could not put it down. It ended up waking me up in the middle of the night so I could finish it. All the different types of emotions I experienced include anger, joy, sadness, pain, etc. I felt a wide range of emotions and enjoyed every second of it. I am sorry to see this series end, especially with the WTF ending. I have to admit I would like to read even more to see where things go.

Finally got to finishing this one (THANKS DAISHO CON AND ALL OF YOUR WONDERFUL DISTRACTIONS.)
Compared to the other books in this series, the pacing in this one felt a little too awkward. It was like getting three speed bumps in a row right next to each other, hitting smooth road again, and then suddenly running over twenty squirrels.
Bumpy, annoying, and upsetting.
Overall though, Horizon was almost the perfect ending to the series that I surprisingly ended up loving this year. If it hadn't been for that dang epilogue I could have walked away with a smile on my face and loved Alyson Noel forever.
But why?
I can't tell if she really is setting up for another series, but that ending just upset me.
It wasn't necessary at all.
Argh, oh well!

Did anyone noticed, it resembled 'Beauty and the Beast'.
Alyson Noel did a wonderful job in ending this series, the prose is really simple, yet note-worthy and also matured enough. The way she started in 'Immortals' series and reached this mark is really is wonderful.
Coming to this book, it starts with love and ends with love, is there anything else to say? I mean the book's main theme, hell, for everything there is, Love conquers all and it did...

This book was an amazing end to the series!!! Everything wrapped up exactly the way I wanted, minus one little cliffhanger, which makes me think there should have been another book to continue on that note. Otherwise, 10/10 would read again.

Once again Alyson Noel shows why she is one of the best in the YA paranormal-romance genre. While Horizon, certainly is a romance, it doesn't rely on the romance as THE driving factor in the plot.

Yeah, you have your many teen romances: Daire & Dace, Xotichl & Auden, and the freshly started up romance between Lita & her new not from Enchantment, New Mexico; not from this world, but Upperworld, gold bleeding, purple eyed boyfriend Axel. But, these romances are buried under something deeper. Something not so trivial as to what most of these types of books are about. When it comes to it, it's more about rising up to the occasion. Doing what needs to be done, whether you are ready for it or not. Whether you know what you need to do before hand, or figure it out as the moment comes.

But the romance isn't where Noel shines in her writing. No. Noel's strengths in this book, as well as the series in a whole is the time she took to research what she is writing about and her character development.

Shamanism is the key focus of the novel. To make is authentic and believable, much studying, reading, and first hand experiences needed to be done in order to understand what she was writing. The book isn't about magick like most of these types of stories are about. It is about the spiritual experiences. From the very beginning when Daire goes on her quest to find her spirit animal all the way to the deaths of characters not being mentioned to avoid spoilers. It's about finding ones self, and trusting the heart.

The development of characters really broke out in this book compared to the others in the series. We first see Daire still, after six months, mourning the loss of Paloma. But as she mourns, she knows that the fight with the Ricters is not over yet, she she continues to train. Finally, able to mature and not be distracted by love (actually using her love as a means of focus) to get to the point where she finds herself in the final battle.

Dace is now paying for mistakes, and takes it maturely. Follows what he knows is right in his heart in order to help Daire in her quest to rid the world of the Ricters.

****POSSIBLE SPOILERS****

Auden reveals to us that while he is this amazing boyfriend and beloved by all who live in Enchantment as a talented musician, ultimately, he is in desperate need to of peoples approval, mainly Xotichl and her Mother.

Xotichl contains probably my favorite piece of character development in this series. After gaining her eyesight back, she finds herself too late in her downfall. Now that she can see, she loses her ability to read the energy. It's ironic really. Gaining her physical eyesight back, Xotichl became blind to the energy around her, causing her to have her perception altered by the Ricter's as everyone else in Enchantment. If it weren't for this, certain events wouldn't have happened that would have made Daire's quest easier. Not to mention, Xotichl would have known to stop Auden from signing that contract with Luther that put both of their souls in danger.

My main disappointment in the book, and whole series really, is Cade's character development. Not that it wasn't good. Not that his story line, and events surrounding him weren't decent. But mainly because he didn't live up to the bad guy character that Noel previously excelled at with Roman from the Immortals series. Throughout the Immortals, you could connect with Roman, even find him charming to the point where you didn't see him as a bad guy, but just one of the victims. Cade on the other hand, while charming at times, never gave the impression that
wrong was done to him rather than him doing wrong. Yeah, Cade was almost redeemed in this book, but it came too late. He went from a spoiled evil child prodigy who turns into a demon to a can't ever do anything right child looking for daddy's approval. If it weren't so slow to develop, I may have eventually actually liked the guy.

Overall, I'd recommend this series to anyone. I give this book a 4/5 rating.

PS, the cover is still beautiful and reflects the events unfolding in the book quite well.

WARNING: REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS.
My theory for the ending: there's going to be another series, a next-generation series, that pretty much resolves things permanently.

That, or Gabe Junior somehow doesn't end up evil, probably because there's no other Richters around to show him how to be evil. Or something like that...

Either way, I refuse to believe that it's just going to be left that way, with everything not-entirely resolved, and there be no explanation for what happens.

In fact, I think the twins, the ones she sees her and Dace having one day when she sees a glimpse of the future, will probably be the main characters of this series. If there is one... But then again, it seems likely that there will be. Alyson Noel must realize that she can't just leave things like that. That's a big no-no.

Anyway, overall this series was excellent. I'd gotten the third book as a gift, but since I had not read the series yet, I downloaded the first and second books, and I really enjoyed the series. The ending was somewhat happy (save for Marliz revealing that she is carrying Richter spawn), but then again, I think that's the point, that evil never entirely disappears, no matter how hard we try to fight against it. Or something like that. I still think there's a possibility that it was a setup for a next-generation spin-off series, which seems highly likely.

When the beast began to take over Dace, though, I was a little scared. Obviously I knew it will end well, that true love really would conquer all (because, you know, it always does). Still, I was a little worried at some of the things that he did, and in my head I was saying, "Dace, what are you doing? This isn't like you! Fight the evil already! Get rid of it so you can get your happy ending with Daire!" The whole situation kind of reminded me of the Vampire Academy series (which, if you've read the series, you know EXACTLY what I'm referring to), especially considering how guilty Dace felt at the end.

Xotichl's blindsight being lost when she gained back her normal vision was really unfortunate, especially when it came to Auden signing Luther's contract. Of course, I was a bit suspicious when that happened, and sadly I was right. But on a brighter note.... Lita and Axel! Of course they were going to be together in the end. You knew they were. Just as you knew that the prophecy would somehow be circumvented so Dace and Daire would get their happy ending :)

Anyway, that's all I have to say. Once again, the series was amazing. The last book was gripping (enough that it took me only a few hours to read!), and while it wasn't an entirely satisfying ending, I believe that it will be resolved. This is me, saying peace, and happy reading!

This book is such a good ending for the Soul Seekers series. It's full of surprise, plot twist and many many more.
I cried a lot in this book, well I always cry reading every last book in every series so far. Thinking of this beautiful story is already end, I don't know what I'm going to do next.

This book taught me a lot, uh oh I mean this series, taught me about the power of love. Not just love like a boy and a girl, no, it's more than that. Love is the most powerful thing, because of love, it can bring peace.

I love this series, it's an amazing series. I enjoyed reading every book in this series.

The characters are always perfectly on point. They are perfectly created by miss Noel. Daire, Dace, Xotichl, Lita, Cade, and many many more hold a place in my heart.
I'm a bit emotional now, I can't believe it's already ended.

The epilogue in this book, wow I can't believe it! I suddenly have a faith that there will be a next book but I don't think so. But wow, I can't believe that. Wow. Such a great plot twist at the end.

I found a lot of beautiful quotes in this book, so I think I need to share them.

1. "To stop denying my grief. Stop torturing myself by relieving a past I can't change. To let my friends in."

2. "Don't waste your wishes on a past we can't change. What matters now, is what we do next."

3. "The hate you harbor toward them is ripping a hole in your heart which will serve as a portal. Allowing them access to control you in ways far more effective than any stone could. Hate has an insidious way of taking over-but only if we let it. So don't you dare let it."

4. "You have to accept the things you're unable to change. Otherwise, peace will elude you in all facets of life, not just the ones of your choosing."

5. "That's the thing about the horizon. Every step leads you toward it, but you can never quite reach it. But maybe that's a good thing? Maybe it's nature's way of reminding us to never give up-to always keep striving."

The story, everything that contained in this story will always inspired me. To be strong, to believe in love, and to always know that I'm not alone and those who are dead, are actually here.

Our heroine, Daire, is still grieving for her beloved Grandmother, Paloma. But, she is using this time to train. To become stronger. Things are wonderful with Dace but she just can't let herself relax and enjoy what she has.

"Dreaming of the future is a frivolous indulgence I cannot afford. Paloma warned me from the start that Seekers are not known for their longevity - and their romantic relationships always end tragically. Shirking all thoughts of the past along with all wishes for the future, I settle into the present-the only moment I can ever truly claim for my own."

This is truly a battle of good vs. evil. Of light vs. dark. Keep in mind, not even a year ago when we first met Daire, she had never even met her Grandmother. Had no idea of her heritage. Of what her destiny had in store for her. Of her "fated." And now, she is bracing for the final battle. How can she defeat the Richters? They always seem to be one step ahead of her.

"There's only one force more powerful than evil-" I blink a few times, drawing a blank on what that might be. Clearly, he's not referring to me. No Seeker has ever successfully kept evil at bay-or at least not for very long. "Love."

Can love truly save Dace from the beast growing stronger inside him? Can Daire find a way to defeat the Richters for good and save the people of Enchantment? I loved this entire series. The final book was a little slower than some of the others but all things are brought to a heart stopping conclusion. I would have liked that it ended there, though. I didn't much care for the epilogue. But, aside from that, I highly recommend this series.

"And suddenly I understand the very truth of our existence. It wasn't just the twins who were connected-we are all connected. Each and every one of us has a role, a duty, to sustain each other and keep the world balanced.

"That's the thing about the horizon. Every step leads you toward it, but you can never quite reach it. But, maybe that's a good thing? Maybe its nature's way of reminding us to never give up-to always keep striving."

After being thrown loop after loop in the past week reading books 2 thru 4 I am definitely marking this series as an absolutely favorite one.

Going into this read knowing it is the series conclusion makes it bitter sweet, stuck with a need to know but dreading that it is all coming to an end. (At least I think it is the end...)

Daire has come a long way from a young girl lost, hoping from one side of the world to the other.

With Paloma Santos in the ground Daire is alone in her Seeker status, no more training and no more Santoses to carry on. It all rests on her shoulders. She has her friends and Dace and Axel has left the Upperworld for good.

She has to fly solo now, the lone raven and it isn't going to be easy.

Dace is on his own too, left to fulfill his slightly cryptic destiny by Leftfoot, assuring him there isn't more to tell.

The things that happen in this book don't fall short of shocking. Xotichl and Auden, Lita and Axel are all involved fully now and the Richters are ready for the battle of their lives. Leandro and Cade have a last stand as do the rest of the dark forces that inhabit Enchantment before they are sent back to where they came from and trapped once again.

Everything that unfolds in Horizon is what the entire series has building up to. It will suck you in and not let you go until you see that last word.

The bittersweetness is thick of the end of this series that I won't for get anytime soon.

Alyson Noel delivers yet again a series that I can get lost in way after the reading is over.

I love the characters and with each loss or hurt you feel it, or at least I know I do.

I can't recommend it enough, my three teenagers are anxious to read the series and I will be getting them the boxed set, it's not a series to be missed!

I just can't believe it's over!

And I warn you if this is indeed the last book I am so not happy about how it ended!

I do not in any way regret the read but OMG!!! Noooo!!!!!

It is primed for a spinoff or another installment! LOL! Please!

Umm maybe I should write a review before 10 months have passed after reading a book but oh well here we are - and I have no memory what happened in the ending novel of Soul Seekers series. Admittedly I only read all of the books because I had done so much work on acquiring these books - I would have stopped much sooner if I did not have the physical copies.

Horizon takes place 6 months after Mystic and the death or Daire's grandmother Paloma. This is good, because I was afraid most of the book would be moaning after her (rightfully though) which would have slowed the plot down. Not that it was that quick either way.

There was lots more shaman-ish and spiritual stuff than in previous books, and Daire acquired some pretty awesome skills. I was also happy with side characters who really had their perso ality and voices presented - mainly Lita. I enjoy a proper redemption arc and that girl did change for the better.

All in all this book left no permanent mark on me, just some vivid images of Daire riding on a desert and Daire and Dace having their spiritual moments with their spirit animals. I still cannot get over the fact that the author named the love interest Dace - and it does not help that the main villain and brother of Dace is Cade. So many names that get easily mixed up and look silly together.

4/5 hearts

***I was provided an eARC in exchange for an honest review***

I am a huge fan of Alyson Noel and when I saw the chance to read Horizon I jumped on it.

This is the 4th book in the series, and Alyson did not disappoint me one bit. Fun, intriguing, twists and turns, love, and pain. Alyson Noel has a way of transforming her characters, that they pulled me in without even realizing what was happening, and soon I was so caught up, that I hardly realized 2 hours had past. Books like this that can keep my intrigue and keep my mind reeling are reasons why I am a fan of this writer.

In the beginning of the series I felt as though Daire was to immature. Slowly throughout the series she begins to come into her own. There is a love element which I also enjoyed.

Overall I feel that the author did a great job in building the story and the characters. I loved the plot line, and the uniqueness of it all. There is mystery and suspense that had me captivated for hours. I do recommend this series! In fact I will be ordering the books (Horizon when it officially is released) so they can go on my bookshelf!!

Picked this book up a couple weeks early at Vegas Valley Book Festival.
I'm not sure if it was school taking over my life or if the book felt a little slow to me in the beginning, but it took me a bit longer than usual to read this. Once I remembered this was it, the end, I started to see it differently. I jumped back in with renewed energy and am greatly happy that it happened. This book came out above my expectations for a last book. The characters got their ends, whether they got happy endings or just endings and it was brilliant. I would gladly recommend this to my friends and other book lovers.
