Within this book, MM Murzban has compressed the key ideas of a vast number of others. Building on the 1907 book by Frenchwoman Mademoiselle Delphine Mennant, this remarkable scholar has vastly expanded the text into a history of the Parsis until 1917, the date of publication.

While the chapter on fetes (calendars and festivals) will be relevant mostly to zoroastrian scholars and historians, the first two p, on costumes and usages (customs) is invaluable to all researchers.

Best of all are the vast number of pictures the author has added. These serve as a time capsule of my community from a century ago.
