Sarai, Volume 6

Rate this book
In this volume, the intrepid Guard Maid Sarai encounters immortal warlord Sultan Pazoculver and his alter ego, with a plot heavily influenced by Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray. The feisty cutie leaves the soporific ecstasies of the Sultan's pleasure garden and descends in the dark bowels of the castle where a fate worse than death awaits. Tragedy befalls Sarai and her mistress, and the guard maid later returns in disgrace to the Association; an outcrop of former humanity in a futuristic world of mutation and madness after the Armageddon. Sarai saves the Association from the ravages of a freak storm and is sent on a bizarre mission to protect a human sacrifice promised to assuage the wrath of a lost civilization. Shibata an engrossing tale of the trials and tribulations of this pert battle maiden whose heart remains enshrouded in mystery.
