Fun and effective
Great book for emerging and seasoned encaustic painters. Materials and resource list very informative and useful. Quick and easy jump off points.

Great teacher, great book. Another one of my teachers (Mary Beth Shaw) is referenced here as well.

Inspiring and a lot of great techniques are included. But a lot of the art was unfinished or left something to be desired. The author also fails to talk much about whether or not the materials included in the mixed media pieces are archival. However, the ideas in the book are a great spring board for experimenting with new materials in encaustic work.

The book is a collection of techniques broken down by technique with step by step visuals.
