Hadjar Darkhan, the Wind of the Northern Valleys, has almost reached the farthest border of the Strange Lands — the very edge of the mortal world. His path has been long and thorny. He has met and befriended many people and lost many more in the pursuit of his goal. And now the final obstacle looms ahead — the Raven Sect, the oldest and greatest stronghold of the Black General's followers. He will just have to go through them as well…

Earlier, whenever a book in this series is released,I used to finish it in one sitting. Now that I know there is only one more book to go, I took time, savoured each chapter and slowly finished this one.
It's like enjoying the last few glasses of is bottle of particularly fine wine, and I can say without any doubt that this book also delivers what you expect from Hadjar and his gang.
If I was an author, perhaps I would have the words to describe this book and series more accurately, but I'm not. So I'll simply say - amazing. The Dragon Heart series is genre defining for a reason. Colorful language pulls on the reader's imagination and emotions like no other.
With each volume of this story you learn more and more about of MC and those around him and their past. Hadjar constantly a pawn in someone’s plan slowly becomes more aware of that fact. The more questions that are answered the more questions get asked. Excited for the next volume.
Way to the North by Kirill Klevanski is a bit of a strange book. There was quite a lot to like about it, but I get the impression that Hadjar is going to end up killing everyone. Or, at the very least, all the old monsters of the Nameless World. Most of the story was fairly good, if a bit dragged out, but I started to feel a bit of dread towards the end. I had heard this was the book that would conclude the arc surrounding the raven sect, and as the number of chapters grew shorter I was starting to think that there would be an 11th hour trick that would push the sect arc into the Immortals or the True North. But no, this book has a truncated, rushed ending. It felt as if Klevanski just decided "I'm bored now" and sped to the finish line. Its weird. Why spend more chapters on minor filler incidents in earlier books than you do on the confrontation with the leader of the Raven Sect? What about the unresolved problems related to the Black General? Demon Prince?
Instead we get some last minute deaths and the reader is rushed to the next book.
would've gotten 5 stars if the author didn't spend a thousand pages on flashbacks and monologues while hadjar was in the lake. i hate these kinds of scenes they're incredibly boring and disposable. they're basically just fillers. and this one went on and on and on.... he spends a hundred pages on what can be told in one.
This series has had me from the beginning and Klevanski does not disappoint. Great action and fun adventures, Hadjar is always in the thick of it and constantly getting pulled into schemes. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who enjoys epic fantasy with lots of progression.
It's just another great book. I really hate that we are getting closer to the end. A lot of the mystery from the earlier books is finally being explained and coming together. It's a great series.
Are you free after breaking the chains of illusion and deceit? Or are you reborn after bonding with your true family. I don't have a fecking clue. Amitabh
I'm enjoying Hadjar's story immensely. The bickering is particularly entertaining, but Hadjar's growing attachment to his companions (largely against his will) is priceless.
Kirill Klevanski has done it again! Another amazing book with great character development and world building. It was a fun read and I would definitely recommend!
Hi it’s more of a question since there is almost no post about the series on Reddit, I came here. I would like to know what happens to Azera ? Will he find a way to not have to kill her ? Thanks
