While summering in Wild Horse, Wyoming, Dr. Adam Stone's young daughters gain an immediate hold on veterinarian Cheyenne Granger's heart. And the tall, handsome newcomer brings with him quiet whispers of fairy-tale endings. But Cheyenne had given up hope of a blissfully-ever-after when her boyfriend walked out on her. And Adam is busy nursing his own broken heart. Yet the girls are determined to draw the two together. Is it possible there's a happy ending—involving a family of four—in their future after all?
Jillian Hart grew up on her family's homestead in Washington state, where she raised cattle, rode horses and scribbled stories in her spare time. After earning her English degree from Whitman College, she worked in travel and advertising before selling her first novel. When Jillian isn't working on her next story, she can be found puttering around her rose garden, curled up with a good book and spending quiet evenings at home with her family.
"Hometown Hearts" was a fantastic conclusion to the Granger Family Ranch Series. I loved the story line and the characters were perfection as usual. Jenny and Julianna were so adorable I just wanted to hug and squeeze them all day. Cheyenne and Adam were amazing, even though he was distant at first. Adam and Cheyenne were finally able to open up their hearts and minds again to the possibility of love and happily-ever-after. I also loved discovering what happens between Cady Winslow and Frank Granger. Everyone should definitely read this book and series because you will be in for a real treat!
It's not at all surprising that I loved this installment in the Granger Family Ranch series. Most of the things I enjoy were prominently featured: a sweet romance (actually, more than one!), a close knit family relationship, animals and animal lovers, and the antics of children. Quite an easy, satisfying read that I highly recommend.
His wife ran off with his best friend and business partner leaving their 2 daughters behind. She was to meet him at wedding chapel in Las Vegas, she was there he never showed. So many broken hearts. When they all come together it makes for a wonderful book. Loved this story. I have read other Granger family books by this author. Was a great read.
Hometown Hearts by Jillian Hart Granger Family Ranch Series Book 6 Welcome back to Wild Horse, Wyoming. Not a lot going on here and yet for the Granger's it's home and they love it. Dr. Adam Stone is summering here for the sake of his daughters, Julianna and Jenny. The girls are enjoying riding the horses that Cady Winslow, a friend from New York who is like family, has rescued. After Stacy left Adam for another man, his daughters lost their joy and he lost all hope of ever loving again. Being around Cady and Wild Horse brings some joy back to his girls though. And one particular resident seems to really brighten all their days, Cheyenne Granger. Sharing a love and care for animals the local vet has much in common with Julianna and soon the girls start matchmaking. Adam is a Cardiologist, can his own heart be healed?
After Edward broke her heart, Cheyenne no longer trusted her heart. She mistook in-like for in-love and she won't let it happen ever again, ever. Tell that to her heart when she sees that the stern and serious Dr. Stone is starting to invade her thoughts. The more she sees Adam around his girls, the more she realizes the granite exterior is not really what he's like inside. Can two people who have been wounded by love chance opening their hearts a second time?
The romance of Frank Granger and Cady Winslow continues in this book as it has in the previous ones. Cady has never had a love that lasted and Frank's heart was wounded by his first wife when she left him with their five children. And Buttercup makes her appearances as well. You can't visit the Granger's without stopping to scratch this precious critter between the ears along with all the other spoiled Granger animals and in Shrek's case, the neighbor's animals as well!
Love the Grangers! Seeing Buttercup and the other cows appear again, was fun too! Reading about the Grangers always makes me want to have a pet cow! Cheyenne comes home to help out with the Vet practice and in the process tries to recover from a broken heart. Adam is only here for the summer and trying to give his children a break from the harsh reality that their mother left them. The girls met Cheyenne and get to know her because they bring in wounded critters for her to heal. Little do they know, that this would lead them down a road that would heal their Father's heart and Cheyenne's. I loved seeing how they played matchmaker and the things they came up with. We also get the side story of Frank and Cady and the proposal we have all been waiting for! Frank deserved love just as much as anyone and could empathize with Adam. Taking a chance on love is something you have to be willing to step out in faith on. You could miss a blessing in disguise if you stay in your own bubble! Can't wait for the next story!
Firstly thanks to Jillian for my copy of this book.
This is the latest installment in the Granger Family Ranch series. This story features the second Daughter Cheyenne who is back in Wild Horse after finishing her vet studies. Adam Stone is spending the summer with his girls to help them heal from his wife walking out on them. One of Adams girls has a real heart for injured animals and brings them to Cheyenne to help. This leads to interaction with Adam. Neither want a relationship but they seem to be pulled together. A side story is we see Cady and Frank again and there fledging romance, I really love there this side story and seeing an older couple find romance. This was another good book and I cant wait to read more books in this series.
Another sweet read from Jillian Hart. I liked getting to know Cheyenne better, and figuring out what makes Adam tick. The girls, especially Julianna, stole my heart though. I loved how they were trying to be matchmakers for their dad and Cheyenne. That said (and this is not usually a factor in Jillian's work), I did feel like the storyline moved a bit too quick from: 'goodness, he's so grumpy!' to 'wow! she's gorgeous' to 'we're in LOOOOOVE'. With most of Jillian's stories, the romance blossoms from a well-established friendship over a period of time. With Cheyenne and Adam, it felt like 0-60 in no-time-flat. Ahh well, when it's right, it's right, I suppose!
This was probably the sappiest romance novel that I have ever read. The whole thing was just filled with... well sap. There was a good story line, so I did finish it, but I'm glad this wasn't the first of Jillian Hart's books that I had ever read - because based off of it I would never read another one. I'm only giving it 2 stars because I've loved all of her other books - that and the story line really was good. It would have been an awesome book if she could have moved past how the MC's hair shimmered and how her hair stood on end when the male MC was near.
I've always enjoyed books by Jillian Hart. I followed all of the McKaslin Clan and the Granger Family storylines. Addy's story remains in the Granger Family, but I look forward the next series as well.
I really liked how it sucked me into the book like I was there in person, it did have some very sappy parts about it but I think overall it was a great book. I will read more from jillian hart in the future.
It's a light, fluffy story. It makes your heart warm. There's love everywhere and it makes you feel fuzzy. Overall, it's a cute book and quite enjoyable too. It teaches you not to give up on love.
