Aryan and Ruby’s story
If Aryan wanted to become the next Dragon King, he needs a bride.
Back in the lands of the Dragons, they had a tradition when came to Assigning the next king to the throne ……. Daryan was the oldest of the 2 brothers, but that did not automatically give him the rights to the throne. …
Between Daryan and Aryan, the strongest would win. Except they weren’t the ones who had to prove our strength. As brothers, they were equal. So, the deciding factor was going to be their brides. The bride that finished the Dragonbonded Trials first would prove to be worthy to be queen
Aryan’s brother Daryan had chosen his bride a few months before, from one of the noble families…. But Aryan believe in the old ways, he wanted more than a bride,He wanted a fated mate. Apparently, he was the last dragon to believe in fated mates
Holy smokes, I just love Ruby’s Character in this particular Installment….
Ruby is a female Version of Robin Hood. She steals from the rich to give to the poor. As you might know from my previous reviews, that this particular series is surrounded around the fact that the humans are living in destitute as the aliens are living in spectacular housing living like kings……. I guess they have their own right due to the fact that they saved the Human race.
Nothing has truly changed in the future. The rich. Keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer. Of course, the human wealthy abuse, the less fortunate of their race.
So that’s where Ruby comes in, her and her best friend from childhood, and his boyfriend, – and they stole a little food here, skimmed a little there, not enough to raise suspicion. They kept their families fed this way. They all worked for the rich families in the city, but they never paid them enough. And when Ruby’s mother died after giving birth to her little brother, only Ruby and her father worked, and they didn’t make nearly enough to pay the rent on their rundown house, the bills, and have enough to feed the four of them. So, Ruby did what she had to do.
Ruby needed an out due to the fact that the. authorities were on her trail…… And he was looking for his fated mate…….. So they both sent in their DNA Hoping to find a mate.
I was just about ready to give up this series, I kind of felt like this series is just a wash, rinse, repeat….. This one revived it for me…… Let’s hope that these 3 authors pick up their pace and stop giving us the same old same ol

overall the story and writing just didn't feel finished. I'm far from disliking insta love >especially in a fated mates kind of situation, but here were several situations happening too fast. they were contradictory to the doubts and worries voiced by the leading characters and didn't mix very well for me.
I did like that, considering how short this novella is, it has a decent plot and multiple supporting characters with most of them showing varying nuances of personality.

In this instalment of monster erotica, a human girl is mated to a dragon prince. Except she has to pass a series of trials while competing with dragon females in order to become the dragons' queen. Can the dragons truly accept a human as their queen?
I was quite excited for this one because WINGS ‼️ However I was quickly disappointed. The spicy scenes were decent enough but there was barely any mention of wings 🪽 All that wasted potential!!
Wings aside, we are first introduced to Ruby (fmc) when she's a thief who steals food and medicine from the rich to give to the poor. All in all, the impression created was that Ruby was a scrappy, shrewd, capable girl with a heart of gold, fighting for a noble cause. Yet the minute she was whisked away to the palace and met Aryan (mmc), that all changed.
Girl please a man who respects boundaries is the bare minimum and you're already thinking about sex 💀💀 I hated how she put out so quickly. It wasn't in line with who she was in the beginning. And during the dragon trials, she ended up accepting Aryan's "help" (basically he could appear in front of her and give advice). Which fell short of my expectations again because I was hoping she'd kick ass all by herself. The author completely destroyed all the potential her character had.
The dragon trials were still an interesting addition to the story though, so there was some semblance of a plot this time. And despite my gripes with her enlisting Aryan's "help", I liked how she won the trial with her human traits: kindness, loyalty, compassion and wit.
Including part of a spicy scene 🌶️
Love when a man (or dragon in this case) is rendered incoherent because of how good she feels 🤭🤭

Kind of just, meh honestly.
Really, the only thing it had going for it was that it was sweet.
I mean, everything else wasn’t bad, it was just blah.
The sex was kind of boring. The plot was very simple because it was so short, but it was made out to be this very important thing. And then the trial itself was so anticlimactic and easy for the FMC that it all just felt a little pointless..no consequences or even rewards.

Argumento:
Si quiero convertirme en el próximo Rey Dragón, necesito una novia.
Pero una novia es fácil de encontrar. Mi hermano ha elegido una, y ahora es mi turno. Un alma gemela, por otro lado…
En los últimos siglos, la existencia de almas gemelas perfectas se ha convertido en una leyenda. Los dragones, al igual que los humanos, se unen y luego se desatan. Eso no es lo que quiero. Mientras que mi hermano trajo a casa una novia de una noble familia de dragones, yo quiero traer a casa una verdadera alma gemela y estoy dispuesto a mirar más allá de mi especie.
Nuestro padre, el Rey Dragón que nos ha dado años de prosperidad, se jubila. Entre mi hermano y yo, elegirá al más fuerte para que sea su sucesor. Y eso significa, el que tiene la novia guerrera más leal, devota y valiente.

Mi humilde opinión:
Wed to the Dragon es una lectura rápida con magia, pasión, aventura y parejas destinadas.
Me gustó que la historia tuviera un trasfondo de fantasía con dragones y una corte. Este mundo fue interesante con la romántica leyenda de una pareja destinada entre un dragón y una humana. Disfruté leer las partes donde la heroína tenía que superar las tres difíciles pruebas del Dragonbonded que solo dragones podían terminar. También el collar mágico que le permitió a Aryan darle consejos a Ruby durante la competencia.
Ruby era valiente y de gran corazón con una vibra Robin Hood que robaba para darle a los pobres. Aryan era un dragón sexy y nerd ya que le gustaban los libros.
El romance fue instantáneo con algunos momentos picantes. No hubo nada que superar con la pareja en cuanto a su matrimonio arreglado. Después de que Ruby le cuenta la verdad sobre ella, se entienden y todo es fácil entre ellos.
Me gustaban las intenciones de Aryan, él quería amor. Encontraría a su pareja destinada o se quedaría solo. Era romántico que creyera en las parejas destinadas y que al final se cumpliera la leyenda encontrando a Ruby me pareció genial.
Creí por un momento que el hermano o la esposa, incluso los reyes se iban a interponer un poco haciendo las cosas algo más interesantes pero no sucedió.
De todas formas la historia fue entretenida pero me quedé con ganas de un libro más extenso y me quedaron preguntas.
Qué sucedió con Daryan y su esposa Nalla después de perder el Dragonbonded ? Por qué el rey tenía prisioneros a viejos dragones? Cumplió Ruby con su promesa a la Shadowfire Wyrm?

Me gustó el planteo de la historia, me gustó el universo que describe, me encantó la protagonista femenina. Astuta y muy, muy ubicada en su realidad, Ruby va resolviendo con lo que tiene lo que se le presenta, según van ocurriendo las cosas. La protagonista estrella y sin dudas, es ella, en esta historia.
El otro sujeto está ahí como para rellenar 😂 Nah, en serio: si sacan a Aryan, no pasa gran cosa; Ruby igual hubiera terminado resolviendo. Me gustó mucho mucho ella, como hacía bastante que no me gustaba una protagonista femenina.
La cosa está en que termina demasiado pronto. Me da la sensación de que nos quedamos a mitad de algo, de que le falta la mejor parte.
Supongo que ahora nunca lo sabré 😥

Another sweet, quick fated mates read. Aryan and his brother are vying to become the next dragon king when their father retires, but they first need a queen. Aryans brother has already selected his bride, but Aryan doesn't want to just choose - he wants his one fated mate, even if it means he can't be king. The temple matches him to Ruby, a mere human who signs up to protect her family. The brides then have to complete a series of trials to prove their worth as queen, which throws up interesting difficulties for Ruby, competing as a human against dragon shifters!

I don’t know, novellas just never do the job for me. 🤷🏻♀️
This was super fast. She knows her husband one day before she has to compete in a trial with other brides, and it will decide if he will be the king, or if his brother will.
So in an already short story, a lot of it is the trial where we don’t even get to see the couple have time together.
It had some cool elements, and I always like dragon things! But I think it needed to be longer, and have way more emotion.

I had high hopes for this one because of the ratings but it was just okay. The Dragon Prince was very soft in personality, in my opinion. His mate, however, was fierce, kind and generous. I would have liked more of Aryan's personality to come through and for it to be stronger and more "dragon-like."

This was another cute installment in this series. The formula is exactly the same for each novella obviously but the way each couple is written and the obstacles they face are different. I liked this one a lot.

In terms of the “Arranged Monster Marriages” series, this was not my favorite. This story’s monster is a dragon, who has been holding on to the belief that his fated mate is out there. The FMC is a thief who applies to the arranged marriage program to escape being caught for her crimes and help her family. I liked the fated mates aspect and the strong FMC vibes. But the plot didn’t feel complete and at the end of the story I felt there were a lot of questions left unanswered. The smut in this one also wasn’t anything to write home about. Other than being hairless, there’s nothing impressive about a dragon dick. I feel like there were a lot of missed opportunities there. Anywho - I wouldn’t not recommend this one, but if you were skipping around in this series, I would put this one towards the bottom of the list.

A nothingburger, sadly. These books are just too short. The MMC is barely present and very 1-dimensional. There is little plot other than a catty sister-in-law. There isn't much conflict in the 'trials' the brides must complete, and the FMC only needed to do two of the 3.

Aryan and Daryan are the dragon royals, who may become King of the Dragons after the Dragonbonded trials are done. The winner’s bride picks who is to become King. Daryan chose his dragon bride, Nalla. But Aryan doesn’t just want to choose a dragon bride. He wants his fated mate. The queen of the dragons is ill, their father is getting old, so now is the time for the new king & queen to be Chosen. Aryan is pretty much the last dragon to believe in fated mates. Aryan is fascinated about the ancient stories of the species and spent a lot of time reading those stories growing up and doing research. He gave his blood to the Temple so that he could find his fated mate. He argues this with his parents telling of an ancient legend that one of the things he read was that a dragon had a non-dragon mate then, so he could have one now. That the trials test certain things, not things that pertain only to dragons.
Ruby and the Misfits- she and a group of people who steal from the rich to feed their families and keep them as well as they could. Well the others could leave, but not Ruby because her father, her sister and brother needed her so she hid when the Peacekeepers came- they wrecked the house and beat her father a bit. So, her only recourse was to put her blood in with the Temple so that her family would be taken care of, while she married one of the ‘monsters’. She is chosen as Aryan’s bride. She tells him of what she has done, that only makes her more of what he was looking for. He promises to send the money to her family and talk to the rich families there to fix the problems, that she tells him of. MY HERO!
Although she is worried about the trials, Ruby is more than willing to try to win them. Aryan has a plan to help her through them. I found it ingenious and they are drawn to each other. I do not like his brother or Nalla. Of the other brides participating, I liked Pyra the best. So much happens in the trials. I found myself biting my nails. Ruby is amazing. I knew she would figure things out. I hope that we can find out more about the other girls that participated in the trials and I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I enjoyed the book immensely.

it was ok, i think if it was longer and the story could have been expanded but this just felt kinda rushed and i can see what other people where saying about the contest being kinda pointless, the H doesn't care if he's king and they kept emphasising that there where no losers so it felt kinda pointless. it ended really abruptly. :/

She is not certain how she will do in the competition, but her heart is in it and she will do her best to win for Aryan. Will he become the next King?

I wanted to see her fulfill the promise of setting all prisoners of the king free. I felt that Nalla's exclamation that she can't do that was signifying how hard that would be. Also wanted to see what they did with Nalla intentionally wounding another contestant.
Also gotta say, some of these sound a bit as if authors wrote first chapters for each of MCs, and came back to finish novellas later. Here I felt it more with Aryan. His first chapter his brother and wife are good people and happy together, would be good king and queen. By his return his brother is kind of a dick and Nalla is suddenly spoiled, and Aryan's much more determined to have Ruby win. Aryan also predicts his brother and Nalla will be done with each other within a couple of years. I know how these stories work, and that there needs to be a conflict, but it would've been cool if his own family had his back and weren't assholes.

Wed to the Dragon is book five in the series Arranged Monster Mates by author Cara Wydle. This tale is an interesting read. Intriguing and full of moments where your imagination can roam free.
Imagine waiting or wanting to find the one person meant for you. Only your heir to the throne and a different species. Would you let all that stop you? Well this dragon didn’t- his faith and trust is matched when he finds the other half of his soul.
Yet, there’s an obstacle between them- trails and some not so friendly dragons. But just maybe with luck, fate will shine down on them.
