The Book of Mormon is a very cool Scriptural/history book and for me I love what I learn from the stories. this book is a collection of essays and talks that go into great detail of how the writting, language, imagry and poetry of the Book of Mormon is very complex and mirrors Hebrew. Simply cool and again lets me know that Joseph smith could not have written it with his time and education.
I REALLY enjoyed this--very thought-provoking, very intelligent without being so scholarly as to be unintelligible. Certainly it's not NECESSARY to know little things like the touches investigated in this book, but it deepens my testimony of the Book of Mormon to see and understand the details and the coherence of the book.
Loved this book. Full of insight about the B of M. Great stuff. However, as much as this type of info. can increase our appreciation of the BofM it is incedental and meaningless when it comes to proof. The proof can only come through the spirit and the grace of God.
I've spent years studying the Book of Mormon with the goal of teaching if to my primary-aged children. The essays in this book provide a much needed mature perspective.
