This is a short story, so it deserves a short review.

Miko is a pilot of a top secret experimental craft, which is stolen by his people's mortal enemies. When these aliens assign one of their top scientists to find it's secrets, Miko is taken along for the ride. But things start to go pear-shaped, and Miko finds himself, his captor, and the craft, a target for both forces.

I like this story. There was some fun parts and interesting ideas, and the planet he crash lands on is pretty cool, like something one would find in the Dagobah System, with funky creatures all eking out a life. However, much as I like it, the writing is a bit weird. There's no typos or such nonsense, but at times it feels like the author is trying to validate the existence of the thesaurus, using overly-ambitious words where simpler terms could could push the story forward better. Or maybe it's just me.
