Rate this book
After rescuing Pythia, the creature who turned him into a vampire, Aleric follows her back to the land of the Saracens. There, they must raise an army, for Aleric's lost love, Enora, has become the Queen of the Wastelands. Aided by her minions and her legions of wolves, she has begun the quest to call the Dark Madonna from beyond the Veil into the world of man. To stop the end of all, Aleric must become what he was destined to be-the Messiah of the Damned-and lead the undead in a final battle against the Mother of Darkness.

Series with a mind of it's own

Extremely well written book that is also well edited. That is very important me with so many poor examples of writing out there. Aleric, is a child born in a field from a prostitute mother who does the best she can to feed her children. He loves the time he spends with his Grandfather learning the Lord of birds and his family history. This writing is painfully tender and sad for the hard life that he must face. It does, however, prepare him for the courage and love that he will need to survive the cruelty and evil of the world. Book 2 gives us the period of Aleric's undead life and his pursuit of his foretold future. In the third book he becomes the only vampire that can save the human race from the corrupt gods and vampires. This is a very thought provoking series. If I had any complaint it is that it takes a while to put together the narration of past and the progress as it moves into the present. Oddly, even the present is presented as part of his past narration. A perfect set up for another book.

I have read all of his Vampyricon books and I love them. You just want to sink your teeth in to these stories... if you don’t have the next book to the series you literally go mental... he leaves you on cliff hangers that are just so intoxicating that you must have the next book at your reach. For all Vamp. fans this is a great book to sink your teeth in, its a page turner, a cant put down book. This is the only book out of the series i havent read yet and it is bugging me waiting on coles to call me to tell me i can pick it up :)...

>>>> i would like to let every body know i have read the book i was waiting on.... and its nother killer story.. i will not tell you if there's another book to follow or not that is something you will have to find out for your self. once a gain an intoxicating story you want to sink your teeth in vamp. fans... nothing more that i like the a good story is one that you can sink your teeth into litteraly...

#7. on my 2015 HALLOWEEN READING LIST

Finally, everything comes together. This book is non-stop action from beginning to end. It's full of frightful vampires, fierce shape-shifters, and lots of dark sorcery.
I still have not read a Douglas Clegg book that I did not like. He is powerfully-awesome as an author.

Outstanding!

I read this series, or should I say devoured one book after the other. I had to immediately buy the next book in the series to see what path Aleric was destined for. It covers from his youth to his path as a vampire and what a story! I have already begun to look at this Author's other books because after The Vampyricon, I am a fan!🙌

Book three in the Vampyricon trilogy. Douglas Clegg was woven a rich tapestry and I imagine he will be revisting it from time to time. Enjoyable.
