About the author

Richard S. Snell was an eminent anatomy lecturer and researcher. His classic textbooks “Clinical Gross Anatomy,” “Clinical Histology,” “Clinical Neuroanatomy,” and “Clinical Embryology” have been the standard reference for generations of medical students as well as seasoned clinicians,

Snell was a member of the Anatomical Society of Great Britain and the American Association of Anatomy, and in 2009 became an Honored Member of the American Association of Clinical Anatomists.

مناسب كمصدر اولي لطلبة الطب، يقدم المعلومات بصورة موضوعية دون تعمق بالتفاصيل الدقيقة كما يقدم اشهر الحالات المرضية المتعلقة، يحوي على كمية كافية من الصور الأطلسية الواضحة لمختلف المواضيع، بعيد عن التفاصيل العميقة التي لا تهم الطلبة في اول دراستهم، قد تحتاج بعض النقاط فيه للمراجعة ونقاط اخرى تحتاج الى توضيح شخص ملم بتفاصيل التشريح البشري.



طلبت من اخي الصغير(مهدي) كتابة رفيو عن المصدر لاننا قرأناه سوية و هذه كانت النتيجة..
جيد بالنسبة لأول مراجعة يكتبها في حياته😆🤍

هذا الكتاب المصدر الأول (وأحيانا الثاني بعد قريس) في أغلب كليات الطب بالعالم.
عند الأجانب هو كافي. لكن بالكليات العربية يعتبر سطحي وسطحي جداًولو تدخل بالمعلومات اللي فيه الاختبار
فأنت مغامر. كليات الطب العربية تقدر الأناتومي (وتقلل من الفيسيولوجي) بالتالي هذا الكتاب يعتبر مصدر سيء لنا.
لكنه طبعاً أسهل بكثير من المناهج اللي نأخذها وينقصه الكثير من الأهداف المطلوب تغطيتها عندنا بالكلية. لا أنصح به.
نقطة جميلة فيه: فيه نقاط أكلينيكية بالأزرق، حلوة وجميلة. لكنك مايحتاج تتمسك فيها لأن أي كتاب مراجعة لليوسملي راح يعطيك إياها.

The information is good, yeah, but Anatomy is a "visual" subject so you need great illustrations that are easily accessible too. The illustrations in this book are hardly ever located in the same place--you have to flip 20, 30 pages every time you need look at the figures. This is okay/tolerable if you have a copy of Netter's Atlas of Anatomy, I guess.

This book, as its title implies, is not concentrated on providing obsessively detailed anatomy. It is not concerned with physiological aspects neither. These all sound good when you consider its focus on clinical insights.

Worthy to consider, But not a 5-star-good book. Its Illustrations are not even acceptable when you compare them to that of the Gray's Anatomy for Students, which follows almost the same approach. Plus, It seems clarity is sometimes thrown away for the sake of briefness.

Although this book is easy to understand, there are a lot of topics that were just oversimplified. This is not as good as Moore's and Gray's.
