Simple and compelling First Nations drawings illustrate this dynamic story that teaches respect for the environment and describes the life cycle of the salmon.
Children would enjoy that fiction of this book. Some might have dreamed there are people under the sea. This book gives you this idea with pictures so you can easily imagine it.
This was a re-read for me, but I really enjoyed the experience of revisiting this story. It's a really interesting story about the balance in nature and not taking more than you need from the world. I liked the local aspects of it. I also really enjoyed learning one of the stories of the shíshálh nation. The art that goes along with the story is really nice.
