Ben bought the gremlin by accident. The only way to get rid of it is to sell it - before it kills him. Can he bring himself to do it? While he hesitates, the body count rises.
I am more wary of creepy little statues now. The story reminded me of other similar stories I have read about curses on statues/ objects, also reminded me of one of the short stories from The Simpson's Tree house of horror episodes.
Short and suspenseful, it was a very much to the point story with very predictable turns but the ending was not predictable what so ever. It was great I would recommend this little short book to people that don't want to read something too long and complicated.
This book is about a boy who bought a statue from a random man from a market place, that statue is bring the people who steal/grab/take this statue from him extreme bad luck. I decide to read this book is because first I saw this book is the thinnest, and also the cover makes me wondered what is in it. So I started reading this book, at the first I thought this is just a normal random novel, then when i get deep, the story slowly shows itself. This books shows that how a normal boy would do when they have unfortunate enough to find himself in a circumstance that that, and what they would do. This book is a book written by a male author.
Enjoyable story suitable for lower ability at KS3. I've created a scheme of work for yr7, incorporating a range of skills and non-fiction texts to work alongside the novel.
