The mangaka is pretty clearly having an absolute blast drawing this and that definitely comes across in the writing. It’s hilariously thirsty and very obvious about being as gay as it can be. You’d wonder how the kingdom maintains a population with the way every single female in the story is portrayed.
In addition to lots of fun with our main couple (the bonus manga at the end is Momo at her devious best), we get massive amounts of Sakaki and Kiku trying to sort out their own relationship. Since I have always enjoyed watching those two, it makes for a fun volume of low-stakes romance that just works for whatever reason.
